Our first trip to Bali and our first hotel stay - we could not have been more impressed with the hospitality and comfort we experienced at Umakayu! We stayed for five nights over the new year period. Putu & his team were amazing, informative and always willing to help. Nicole gave us some great recommendations for new year’s and advice for our travels around Bali after we checked out. The villa was cosy, authentic and felt very private. There was some construction around the area but this is the case throughout all of Bali and it didn’t bother us. The hotel is walking distance to Batu Bolong beach which we did several times as the traffic was quite heavy given the time of year. Overall we had a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying in the Canggu area. Thank you guys so much!!

Absolutely amazing! Jay and Penny are wonderful people and great hosts 🌺 they gave me good recommendations for caffees and beach spots to unwind and when i sprained my ankle were quick to help me making my life easier <3 the beautiful Cabin, very traditional and artistic ✨highly recommend! Side note: if you have sensitive hearing while sleeping i would recommend earplugs because depending on the day you can hear the clubs at night a bit. Thank you so much Penny & Jay!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Seminyak this is the place! Made Hari's villa is simply amazing! The villa and garden is even more beautiful than the pictures and the pool it amazing as well. The location is just perfect, tucked away from the main streets makes it a peaceful paradise. Made Hari is the perfect host, very easy to communicate with, friendly and provided a lot of very useful information. A big thank you to Made Hari and staff. Highly recommended, 5 stars!

Well before I landed, Yuli messaged me and kept in contact with me throughout my entire stay in Bali. If I was ever in a pickle, she would come and help me with information galore. They would make breakfast or lunch (depending on what time you’d wake up) and I thoroughly enjoyed every dish. The staff were also incredible. From looking after the plants to looking after myself. I also rented a bike through Yuli it was very cheap.

This place is so private and beautiful. The pool and outdoor kitchen were my favorite parts of the stay, and the surroundings are just so beautiful and peaceful and quiet. The host is one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered; kind and attentive. Even took us grocery shopping and always available to help with anything. Massage lady and cleaning services on site. Would absolutely stay again and recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a peaceful oasis in Sanur. Thank you !!

This home is a real green oasis just a short walk from the main (and very busy) street of Ubud. The bedrooms and bathrooms were large, spacious, and super clean - a good and hearty breakfast was waiting for us every morning. Great communication with Wayan, whom we did not meet in person, and very nice manager, Agung. Thank you!

Our 3 nights stay at Kadek’s property was unforgettable. The staff was welcoming and we felt right at home. The villa is set well into the structure to give you an immersive Balinese experience as well as a private space. We enjoyed the property and also got a chance to explore the neighbourhood (a pretty rice field through the backdoor and Campughan ridge walk, if you seek more adventure) The space is thoughtfully designed with all amenities one might need. Their staff is helpful, they even got me “chai” for breakfast, something I craved for in a foreign land. Kadek and Edi went out of the way to check for a shampoo supplier because we liked it at a spa in Amed. I would 100% recommend everyone to book listings by Kadek. Oh, and also, the breakfast spread was amazing. It’s been a week since I am back & I still crave for those pancakes I had there.

Super hosts and amazing location right on the edge of the centre! Ulli and Nyoman made me feel very welcome in their home and the private bungalow is comfortable with a nice outdoor seating area, which I found ideal for reading!

The perfect blend of access to urban Ubud life but a quiet location a bit of a walk from everything. The closest street with shops and cafes and massage (5 minutes walk from property) had a real village vibe, and was easy to get a scooter taxi to any event or restaurant in Ubud. Gorgeous property, I enjoyed my stay and getting coffee on site with other guests and the hosts. I felt like a princess. I was worried about no AC, but I stayed a month and was only hot at night once or twice. I was also surprised to see no screens on the windows, but in fact that is normal for Bali and the bugs were nothing like what I’ve seen in other tropical places or even at home in the US in summer where screens are a must. The semi-outdoor shower was a bonus! I stayed 2 other places in Ubud this year and this was by far my favorite. Stayed 1 month. Kitchen amenities are bare bones - if you really plan to cook you might need to supplement what they provide.
