Our stay was beyond perfect. Both Marillisa and her husband were incredible hosts. We felt right at home and they are such a lovely couple. Friendly and kind and we loved chatting to them. the house is even better that you would imagine from the listing what a beautiful place full of so much history. we look forward to seeing the new pool and cannot wait to play our next stay. what a great hidden gem this place is with fantastic hosts!

Nice place in an old town, within walking distance of downtown. You have to be good at walking. In the house there are two flights of stairs, one of which is reasonably stylish. Breakfast is simply perishable croissants, biscuits and 2 types of cake (but tasty) this is ready upon arrival for the days you booked, in our case 2 nights. Furthermore, 2 types of juice and milk. We found the bed on the hard side. The house is a great place to explore the surroundings. Breakfast on the balcony in the morning is wonderful with the sunshine.

Four of us came to see our grandparents village: for our first time visit Miglionico was charming and told us enough of what we wanted to know. But the village and the location is just so beautiful. I am selfishly grateful that it is not so touristy and that people make me use Italian. I always felt safe. I expect to return again hopefully with my daughter and hopefully to Grazia’s accommodation.

Very nice and clean accommodation with all amenities, friendly and helpful hosts, walking distance to the historic center. Parking in nearby streets.

We loved our stay here! Angelo was very friendly and welcoming, and provided useful and practical information to visit Matera and the Gravina; the house was spacious and clean and really had a home-feeling; and what we really appreciated: the stove! Travelling off-season we have stayed in some cold houses, but here it was cosy and warm, directly at our arrival :). Besides, Matera and its surrounding is just amazing and definitely worth a visit!

A well presented property typical of its location. Very comfortable and adequately specified for our stay. The location is perfect for exploring the Sassi and its surrounding areas. Owner was responsive and always helpful. Would happily stay again and recommend.

Beautiful accomodation, stunning location, would highly recommend

We spent a lovely week in this spacious, tranquil apartment with fantastic views (especially from the kitchen and the narrow balcony off of it). The place is ideally located on the upper part of one of the sassi, making it convenient to restaurants, banking, and to the mercato, food stores and bakery (on Via Ascanio Persio) for self-catering. At the same time, it is tucked away so it is quiet and private. We loved that all the windows and doors (except the front door) had insect screens so we could leave them open. A note that the front terrace is shared with two other apartments, so is not private. Roberto is super responsive and helpful.

Very nice house, ideal x a little relaxation in the tranquility of the surrounding nature! The outdoor area is well cared for and great for fresh and outdoor dining. 5 minutes by car from the Mercadante forest and the pretty and typical Apulian village, Cassano delle Murge. Dario was a helpful host and quick to respond to our messages....highly recommended!!

Cosimo's house is in a great location for visiting Matera, it is clean and well maintained. Mr. Cosimo is kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The location of Flavia's place is incredible and the space itself- wow! To stay in an actual cave is a step back in time, very special. It's spacious and everything was perfect. Flavia was the perfect host, responding quickly to everything we needed, providing local information and more. If you're coming to Matera, you need to stay in this special cave home.

Everything is very, very good The host, always available throughout the stay, suggested the parking not far away and outside the ZTL, met us and then took us to the apartment. Inside everything is tidy, clean and corresponding to the photographs. I am very satisfied with the hospitality, the stay and the stay in the city.

A perfect accommodation, impeccable, clean, in the city center. Above our expectations. Very large. Responsive and very accommodating host. The small touches were straight to us.

Highly recommended, both for the apartment and for the kindness of the host. Emanuele was super friendly and helpful from the first moment, quick and courteous in his responses. It was very kind of you to anticipate the check-in by a couple of hours, given the early arrival. The house is super, all mega clean, very heated and equipped with any comfort, from Wii fii to the super equipped kitchen. Also, super advantage, being able to park your car and move around quietly on foot as the house is located close to everything. If you are looking for a place to stay in Matera, I absolutely recommend La Casetta. Everything was perfect, which made the stay super pleasant!

Fabulous place! We loved how close it was to the old city. Clean and inviting space with extremely responsive hosts. Loved the place and would stay again if in Matera.
