Nice stay in Weligama, only downside was the property does have wifi but it doesn’t always reach each room. Comfy and safe none the less with good air con.

Great hotel! The location is 2 minutes from the beach, shops and cafes nearby. Friendly host, hearty breakfasts. The room has everything you need. I recommend it!

This is a stunning spot a few minutes walk from Horseshoe Bay. Great decor, clean and really peaceful spot. Geraldine and Joshua looked after us brilliantly. We would definitely rebook. Only thing to note is that aside from (super delicious) breakfast there is no drink/food on offer for the rest of the day unless pre-arranged. But you can easily buy in the nearby supermarket and store in the fridge.

This is a fantastic AirBnB house with a beautiful view of ocean, and with gardens, pool, and covered terrace. You are walking distance to two beaches and some good restaurants. The people that take care of the house, Nuska and Kumara, are really wonderful. They are very attentive, bring you fresh juices throughout day, and cook delicious meals. The breakfast is included but lunch and dinner can be served at cost (which is way cheaper than restaurants and at least as delicious). We spent a week here and that wasn’t enough…it really is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

A high end quality villa, 3-5 minutes by tuk tuk from Marissa Beach. Can highly recommend staying here for a few nights. Staff is great too.

The place was very nice. Placed near to the Midigama Surf Spots and also near to Weligama town. We had a very cheap room with new quiet air condition, a very cozy bed and a clean beautiful bathroom. If you’re a surfer you can easily rent scooters from the host and all good Surf Spots are like a two minutes drive away. Without scooter the next beach is 8 minutes away, very beautiful called jungle beach. There are also some nice and cheap possibilities to eat around the place. What we also really liked was how the host and his family let us take part of their culture with showing us a lot of things like how they’re cooking, how their collecting coconuts from the palm trees and all kind of nice stuff. They even brought us homemade specialities for free every day. So friendly people. There was even a kitchen for the guests where you could cook everything you want and have tea and coffe for free. I’d really recommend this place to everybody.

We loved this place! We arrived just before sunset, and the host gave us coconuts to sip while watching the sunset as the peacocks come home to roost. In the morning, we were served a big breakfast (toast, fresh fruits, coffee) and watched the male peacock put on an amazing display on the rocks near the water. The location is just a short walk to Secret Beach, but really, just hanging out in the yard looking at the water was what made it so special. The owner is the nicest man, and is happy to share stories and tips. Despite feeling disconnected, there is also decent wifi! You can get the same style of accommodations for half the price elsewhere in Marissa, but what you are getting here is the view, the kindness, and one truly unforgettable peacock crew. Our favorite place we stayed in Sri Lanka!

The hotel is located on a rather quiet beach where you can both swim and surf. The staff was very friendly, the room clean, the bed very cozy and the view from the balcony really nice. At breakfast, we would have liked a little more variety.

Sweet Escape is amazingly sweet and quiet despite being perfectly located in the heart of Mirissa Beach. Everything you could want is within walking distance and the beach is wonderful for all types of activities. If you wanted to be more serene, but still feel the need to take a dip in the water, Sweet Escape also holds the largest pool in Mirissa Beach. Would be happy to come back here and stay with Ziad and his father-in-law.

We stayed in Shanil's place for 6 nights. We were greeted by Suranga and his team immediately after arriving we received a cool coconut drink and felt right at home. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Suranga and his team did an excellent job. Especially the food was fantastic, the chef did an excellent job. One of the best Srilanken food we had in our vacation in Sri Lanka. We had breakfast and dinner as well. The even provided our kids with western breakfast. We felt welcome from start to end and didn't want to leave. Hopefully we are back. The house with the 2 double room and the separate house with the family room is well set up and gives each guest his own privacy. The location is great with the beach and the ocean right in front of the house. With a 15min. Tuktuk ride you are both in Mirissa and Weligama. Thank you very much for having us.

I spent a week at Meraki and loved it! Every detail—like a flower on the toilet paper, comfy pool cushions, pristine garden, and fluffy towels—added a personal touch. As a small, family-run hotel, Meraki stands out from large chains with genuine care from the owners and staff. On my first solo trip as a woman, I felt completely safe and welcome. The hotel’s design perfectly suits my taste, and I only wished my stay was longer (special thanks to Iona for accommodating a special wish of me!). The pool area is relaxing, and the yoga sessions were very nice (also for a beginner)! With an ideal location near the sea and attractions, plus an excellent breakfast featuring fresh fruits + a la carte options, and fantastic coffee, Meraki truly impressed me. Huge thanks to the entire team! Every single team member was treating me with kindness and I really appreciate this a lot 💚 in my opinion this is the perfect place to be in Sri Lanka’s south coast!

Nice host/hotel. Liked the seaview and the pool, rooftop terrace and high bunk bed. We where given a complementary 2½ hour late check out. Excellent. A few power cuts (not the hotels fault) and some outside music hear 2 out of 6 nights. We had to pay extra (4 €/night) for a minibar/fridge.

We enjoyed our stay. Our host and staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The space is very serene, and the location is perfect - not far from shops and restaurants but at the same time quiet and peaceful. We felt very welcomed and very well taken care off.

The place is beautiful and the location is super quiet and private. We felt right at home. Berni and Prabath were very nice, accommodating and always easily accessible. They also organized the transfer from the airport and a scooter directly for us. Thank you so much for a great stay, we would definitely come again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful Airbnb, and I couldn't be more satisfied! The room was impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. One of the highlights of my stay was the beautiful pool. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the area. The surroundings were serene, and I thoroughly enjoyed lounging by the poolside. Overall, I highly recommend and will be recommending to friends and family. I can't wait to return!

Very nice room with high ceiling and big windows and a nice view of the river. The large bed is very comfy. Unfortunately no A/C, but well tolerable at night with ceiling fan. No cooking facilities, but cheap restaurants within walking distance. The family is very nice - and uncomplicated when changing the reservation.

I recently stayed at a stunning villa in Weligama, Sri Lanka, booked through Airbnb, and it was an exceptional experience for my family and me.
