Welcome to our self contained Cottage. We offer a studio room located in a Rural setting on a Thoroughbred horse farm with views of the Kaimai Range. Being approximately 5mins drive from Matamata gives you the best of being in the Country and close to a Rural Town offering you excellent Restaurants, Cafes and Shops. We are also about 15mins drive from the film location of Hobbiton. With great views of the Kaimai Ranges you are also 30-40mins drive from Tauranga and Mount Maunganui.

Fantail Farm Loft is a one room self contained guest suite with a lush native bush outlook and views of the countryside. We are 5 to 10 minutes from Cambridge & a 25 minute scenic drive to Hobbiton. We love NZ's native bush and birds and here you will find a small oasis of native plants and bird feeders to attract native birds. Fantail, Tui, Kereru & Ruru are regular visitors. Relax inside or out on the spacious deck. Staying here you will feel like you're in a Treehouse!

The cottage overlooks the farm, with a deck in the backyard, lemon tree and view of farm animals. (We breed horse and cattle) We’re a mere 6km drive from the centre of Cambridge and are right off the Waikato Expressway, making this the ideal location for your Waikato adventures. The Velodrome is just down the road which takes you past a great cafe and garden centre and Karapiro Domain is only 14km away. There are bike paths nearby as an alternative way to explore as well.

A Place in the Paddock

This properties entrance is on the Hauraki Cycle Trail, only 2.5 km from town. The cottage is surrounded by farm land. You will have exclusive use of this 3 bedroom country home which easily accommodates 7 people. An 11 minute drive to the sensational Wairere Falls bush walk . 17 minutes to Hobbiton Movie set . Has foam mattresses for groups up to 11 as well as a portacot. Please be aware of electric fences on driveway( but not near house surroundings )
