Family-friendly vacation rentals in Matamata-Piako District

My partner and I loved staying at Melanie’s place. It was very beautiful and peaceful. We loved saying hi to the dogs and having a dip in the pool. Melanie was very welcoming and friendly. Unit had everything we could possibly need and it was a great space to wind down at the end of our trip. Highly recommend!

Sue was very friendly and helpful, which helped make the stay very easy and enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable. I would be very happy to stay here again next time I'm passing this way.

We (family of 2 adults, 2 tweens and a dog) have stayed in the Udder House on several occasions. We really love staying there as it is peaceful and relaxing and the gardens are immaculate. Also - because they sell real fruit icecreams from their farm stall! The location is close to bush walks and hot pools and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend.

A wonderful home with plenty of space to spread out and accommodate our entire family. The local dahlia’s on arrival were beautiful.

This place is great! We were a big family group, and the house worked out perfectly. Lovely location, nice and quiet with lots of space for the kids to play. Pauly was an excellent communicator, so everything was easy. We would come back for sure.

Great place to stay with our two dogs. Lovely, big garden. Comfortable bed and nice selection of breakfast provisions. Sue was very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

Absolutely perfect! Beautiful gardens. So private and peaceful. Perfect for our group of 8. Graeme and Jenny were so kind and responsive. Loved it!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Teresa and Peter’s place. Having a second bedroom for our 15 month old to sleep in worked out well. Teresa had kindly placed some breakfast items in the fridge for us and Denver the dog would constantly drop fresh avocados outside our door. The tree-lined driveway ushers you up a hill to the main house and detached apartment that has magnificent views over the countryside towards the Kaimai Ranges from the lounge and main bedroom . The large wooden deck is a great place to relax and take in the scenery after a long drive. Matamata has a good choice of restaurants just 5 mins away. I highly recommend this AirBnB. It is clean, modern, well appointed and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating.

This was the perfect place to land after our long travel day. It was so spacious and comfortable for our family of 11. We enjoyed the pool, the beach and playing ping pong. Everyone wished we were staying longer.

Tiffany is a wonderful host! Very friendly and great communicator. This is a lovely place to stay and very handy to Karapiro Domain and lake activities. Lovely pool and outdoor areas complimenting the accomodation - gorgeous trees! Privacy, peace and calm abound at 200 Lake View. We will be booking a return visit for sure.

This felt like a private French cottage with all the amenities and strong Internet signal. Swimming pool and Maisey (sp?) the dog were an extra treat. Juliet was very responsive to all our queries, very patient. If you just want to get away, and breathe, this little gem is for you.
