Beach house vacation rentals in Matagorda

We loved our stay. It was quiet and peaceful. We found everything we needed in the house. Clean. Clear instructions. It was decorated for Christmas. The beds were comfortable. The coffee bar was well stocked. We made 2 meals and found what we needed. We came with 2 of our children and their families. So we each had a bedroom. Our only regret is that we only stayed 1 night. We enjoyed the sunrise and sunset. We took a walk along the beach and enjoyed watching the ships.

Very pleasant stay! Comfortable and clean. Beach just steps away and a brand new walkover just built during our stay. Sarah was very responsive to calls and texts if we had questions. And she was concerned about the building of walkway, didn’t want it to disturb our stay. So that was really important! Really liked the bunk rooms, great for kiddos but big enough beds and head room for adults. No real issues except for a few cosmetic issues, I’m sure they will take care of! House was a little hard to find, they don’t have big street signs at all. But thanks to Google we found it just fine. We would stay again…the beach is our girl trip getaway! If you are looking for a place right on the water, this is the one! At high tide, you'll almost be IN the water! Beautiful views and we especially enjoyed seeing the large ships come in and out by the jetty. It is a short beach walk to the jetty. We enjoyed watching so many people fishing on the jetty. Surfside is a small community, so if you are looking for a lot of entertainment and restaurant options close by this is not the place for you. If you are looking for quaint beach community with friendly residents, this is your place. (Keep in mind we were there late Nov./Dec. so it may be different during warmer months). It was a quiet, relaxing visit and despite the colder temps (overcast, mid-60s) my 11-year-old enjoyed her first experience in salt water!

This was perfect place to fish with family with toddlers as the fishing deck was set up right out the door so kids were able to enjoy their time outside fishing and staying indoors whenever they please. We caught a couple red drums! Will definitely come here again!

As always we enjoyed our stay. The house is just as described, and they're stocked with basically all the things. Super easy to get to, great location.

Can’t wait to come back! Have been telling all our friends about this place. Highly recommend. Host has very clear, proactive communication, which was extremely appreciated! They clearly take this rental seriously and want the absolute best for their guests.

Nice house with a great view , the different style makes it stand out from the other houses on the beach . Made it easy for us to find the house when we would go out . Very spacious as well would definitely come again

Beautiful house with a great location. If you have a large gathering or maybe a big family, this is the perfect spot. 2 large decks with fantastic views. Right on the water so you can enjoy the views your entire stay, or get some easy fishing or wading in the sandbar at the rear of the house. Every room is a suite, and well appointed. The kitchen/living area is fantastic. Lots of room to cook meals for the family or just enjoy coffee on the kitchen island while looking outside. Hosts provided a supply of beach towels and there are a number of family games to enjoy in the event of bad weather or maybe you just need some inside cool down time. Public beach access is a short walk to the end of the street. The Treasure Island neighborhood is a nice balance of secluded, while still being relatively close to Surfside/Freeport or Galveston if you need some supplies, a bite to eat, or looking for some entertainment. You can't go wrong with this house.

Jackie and Bill are sweet people. Their place felt like home. And the sunrise over the ocean was the best❣️ Whenever we go back that way we will be staying there again 😁

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful unit! The house had everything we needed and kept our family entertained during the entire stay! The pool was a family favorite and so was the short walk to the beach! The only major issue was not having water for the first day of our stay, but the host was great with communication throughout.

Great place, great area, walkable to Surfside beach. Would definitely stay again!

Our family had a fantastic stay at this house. The host Matthew was immediately responsive on some basic questions I had before we arrived. For anyone with kids, you can’t beat the great pool setup combined with a ~2 minute walk to a nice strip of Surfside Beach.

We had a wonderful time at Randy's beach house. It was exactly as described and pictured. Very thoughtfully designed and decorated. It looks like a beach house you would see on HGTV. The views from the living area, kitchen, and both porches are fantastic. As far as location, it was beautiful and remote, which was perfect for unplugging and relaxing. The beach is wide, the sand is soft, and there are sea shells everywhere for the kids to collect. I really enjoyed drives on the beach in the morning or evenings, just make sure you have 4-wheel drive. There are a lot of wetlands in the area, so make sure to bring your insect repellant. All listed amenities were there, as well. Internet worked great. Randy was a great host who was always very friendly responsive, informative, and accommodating. We most certainly plan to come back. It may be more expensive than other options, but this home has the best views & accommodations. You get what you pay for in this case.

We have stayed here several years in a row. We feel right at home, the space is large enough to accommodate a large family or groups of friends. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, spices, cutting boards, utensils, etc… We will be back next year!

This was the perfect house for our family with the separate bedroom/bathroom downstairs! Loved it!!

This was our 2nd year to host Thanksgiving for our family and we returned due to great location, amenities and plenty of space. Kristen is super responsive and a great host. Highly recommend!

We loved the location of this beach house. It’s further down Blue Water Highway so there weren’t as many people. House was the perfect size for our family. Had everything we needed!

The cleanest, most homey, house we have ever rented AND the best kitchen essentials. From the house, chairs on the deck, a dining table on the deck, fenced yard to protect your pets and the beach walkover literally right outside the gate this was a great rental! We would rent again from Janet and Jazlyn!

This home was a wonderful first time stay in Surfside beach with our family. We had spectacular weather and loved sitting on the front porch with our morning coffee looking at the great ocean view. Susy was so attentive and reached out to us multiple times to make sure we had everything. The home had so much room for everyone. The kitchen was very well setup for anything we wanted to cook. I would highly recommend this home,you will not be disappointed.

Very cozy and pleasant spot to stay at. The beach was right down the road and also visible from both balconies. Special shoutout to the host, she was incredibly helpful and understanding. She worked with us to make some last minute changes, her patience and generosity was greatly appreciated. Easily one of the nicest hosts I’ve interacted with. Highly recommended.
