This out of the way cottage is our favorite Airbnb ever. It’s beautiful and peaceful, with amazing views. The layout and design is lovely (so nice to be in a large bed again). Geraldine has added thoughtful touches to the amenities and any necessary instructions for heat or laundry were perfectly clear. Not having WiFi lifted stress (we could still map what we needed to). Being able to walk down the river and through the fields made our time even better. We would return in a heartbeat. As a word to future guests, especially from Canada, the U.S., or Australia: The first time arriving we drove over the pass from Killorglin, which was a bit extreme as foreigners not used to the single car-width road most of the way (but it is beautiful). On subsequent drives we came by way of Cahersiveen or Spunkane which didn’t add time (highway roads), only distance. Don’t let the remoteness of this place deter you! It’s amazing!

my sister and i stayed at gerard’s place during lambing season and it was such a special experience. the land was so beautiful and vast with sheep and baby lambs everywhere. gerard was very welcoming and sweet, he answered all our questions about sheep farming. on our first night we got to feed some baby lambs that were bottle feeding. so happy we chose to stay at gerard place!

A lovely and comfortable cottage in the middle of breathtaking countryside of a Kerry. Absolutely no minus points at all - everything was perfect for us (family of 4). Would love to come back here again!

We had a wonderful stay here and enjoyed a lovely morning feeding lambs on the farm and playing with the litter of border collie puppies. The house is in a perfect serene countryside setting and we enjoyed watching newly born lambs each morning and throughout the day. We had a lovely lunch in Waterville at The Lobster as recommended by Sinead , the surrounding area is idyllic. Thank you for a terrific stay!
