Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Massanutten

Would definitely recommend! Host was very responsive. We did have some internet issues but luckily we weren’t at the airbnb much. We stayed for JMU homecoming and was nice to be close enough but not have to deal with the Harrisonburg traffic. Firepit was an amazing add and we had a blast with the games in the basement!

I loved this house so much and I hope to make it back again. We had 4 adults and 4 teenagers and there was plenty of space…it felt like we were always together but not on top of eachother and if someone wanted to get some alone time, there’s plenty of space to go do that as well. The house was so clean and super cozy. It kind of an old farmhouse that has been renovated with the updated goodies, but still feels like you’re in an old farm house. All of the furniture was very clean and comfortable. All of the instructions and amenities are clearly described and labeled. The hot tub and the game shed are wonderful. The property is wonderful. Can’t say enough good things about this place…oh and it’s pet friendly with “welcome” dog biscuits❤️

My friends and I only stayed one night after a long day of hiking at Old Rag. It was so nice to be able to relax and unwind in this cute and comfortable space. It was equipped with coffee, tea and snacks - and the sauna was an extra bonus for our sore muscles! We would love to visit again to enjoy the beautiful surroundings more.

We had a great time! It was the perfect size, very cozy, loved the game table (Foosball, pool and air hockey) all the games, fire pit. Kitchen was perfect, loved the 2 bathrooms and beds were very comfortable! View was gorgeous and it had a convenience store/gas pump 5 minutes away which was great since we were in the middle of nowhere! It was only 20 minutes from Luray, Fort Royal and Skyline drive. Would definitely stay again!

This was my third time staying at the North Hawksbill House, and it has been such a nice experience every time. Comfortable, quiet, and an easy walk from cafes and shops and a nice little trail by the water. It’s perfect for a getaway to one of the most beautiful parts of Virginia!

This was our second stay at Pigs in a Blanket and it didn’t disappoint! We love the location and the coziness of the home. The bunk room is great if you have a bunch of kids. 😂 There are toys, games and books for the kids, as well as a highchair. We’ve been to other houses without these amenities and they really help when traveling with children! The location is incredibly peaceful. Kitchen is very well stocked with all the little things. We look forward to coming back!

This river retreat was the perfect weekend getaway for friends and family. We needed a place that could accommodate 8 adults, 2 infants and 3 dogs and this was the spot. I never thought I would visit Woodstock, but finding a place where the home itself is the destination was incredible. We loved the main living area and large dining room table. we also really enjoyed not having a TV in the main living space, so we enjoyed each others company more. (Don't worry the pub and basement are great TV spots). Lots of outdoor activities and the walk to the river and swinging bridge was wonderful. We will be returning for a summer getaway soon! Wonderful accomodations for small children including baby gates for the stairs, extras we used for the patio, bouncer high chair and toys. Having the light switches and cabinet / drawers all labeled was invaluable especially because of the unique layout of the home and all the hangout spaces. It also helped for easy cleanup after cooking.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The place was exactly as pictured, which made us feel right at home. The amenities were great, especially the coffee/tea bar- it was a nice touch! We also loved the darts and pool table, which provided a lot of fun entertainment. The bedrooms and linens were clean. The deck area with the patio furniture and propane fire place was also a wonderful addition. Everything was great and overall this was one of the best Airbnb experiences we have had. I would definitely stay again! William is an amazing host!

Very homey place, plenty of space and high ceilings make it feel even bigger. Plenty of space for multiple people to stay as well as a full kitchen with spices and dishes provided. Suzy was a very polite host and I definitely consider her place, especially if you are hitting the mountains and hikes. Also the water pressure in the shower was amazing, definitely recommend here!

Excellent place to stay when in the area. Hosts are exceptional. The place is clean, comfortable and cozy. Quiet, peaceful surroundings while only a short distance to the Interstate. This is a 5.0+++ place that matches the description. We hope to return soon.

Very cute basement studio, homey, stylish and super clean. Location was great close to downtown, but private and in a great neighborhood. Host was very communicative, flexible and helpful. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Good Airbnb for being close to Shenandoah. We visited over thanksgiving, so it was a little cold and we weren’t able to enjoy the river, but very beautiful area and the open area across from the home was a nice touch, especially with dogs. Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

This was a lovely stay in New Market, VA! Andrea put such thoughtful detail into all of the decor and furnishings of this cozy rustic apartment. It was a very cold night when we arrived, and the host was responsive in helping us get the heat cranked up. The location is perfect, convenient to a cute historic downtown area, including a coffee shop with impressively high quality food and drinks, and the whimsical general store. I especially appreciated that the apartment was decorated for Christmas, giving it an extra welcoming feel for the season. I would come back just to curl up with a book for a few days! Thank you!

It can be tough to find a dog friendly Airbnb when traveling, but this listing was perfect for us and our pup. We had plenty of room to hang out and were not far from downtown Harrisonburg and JMU's campus. Paula was a very responsive hostess and made us feel at home. We appreciated her excellent communication and her kindness to us, especially since we knew we'd be getting back to the house very late after the JMU game! Would definitely recommend to friends and would stay here again!

We absolutely loved this cabin. The location was perfect for us as my sister lived the next street over. The views were amazing! The house was equipped with everything we needed. We were thankful for the coffee station. The beds were comfortable and we were very warm and cozy. We will definitely be back.

The most perfect mountain getaway! The house was pristine, quaint, and well equipped - we were able to prepare meals easily, and the hot tub and fire pit were ready and waiting for us. We were only sad that it wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the screened in porch! Our stay was 10/10 - the owners were so kind and quick with follow-up. We can’t wait to go back!

This property was amazing, really hoping to book again. Location was beautiful, we wish we had booked more days to explore. The cabin was super clean, spacious and organized. The host was also really quick to respond and even offered restaurant recommendations. 5 stars for sure

We just enjoyed another relaxing stay at Jeri’s cabin. This was our third trip (2021, 2022, 2024) and we hope to continue coming back each year. In today’s world it’s nearly impossible to disconnect from your phone/TV but this perfect cabin allows you to do just that and fully enjoy the time with the people you are with (we had no service with Verizon or ATT unless we hiked to the top either trail). You are in your own little secluded world at the cabin and there is no better way to reset and recharge from the stresses of daily life. We arrived Thursday and didn’t leave the property until the end of our stay on Sunday. Typically, we come in January but this year we came in December and the cabin was decorated with Christmas bedding, shower curtains, and a huge wreath above the fireplace. It was a very cozy touch. As usual, the focus of our trip is to keep the fire burning in the beautiful fireplace every waking hour.. we succeeded and can’t wait to come back! Thank you!!

Cozy Bear Cottage is exactly as described. It is a very peaceful and out-of-the-way mountain location. So quiet! We had 5 related adults and there was plenty of space for us to all feel comfortable, yet the family room and kitchen table allowed us all to be together for family time. Very nice full kitchen for meals. We enjoyed eating in and just hanging out in the evenings. Firepit was fun! 10 - 15 min drive to Caverns or downtown Luray with cute shops. 30 minutes to hiking in SNP. If you're looking for a private escape, but with some activities in the area - this is a great option. Thanks!

We loved this cabin and can't wait to return! It was so cozy and comfortable - the perfect space for two people looking to getaway from it all for awhile. It was warm and snug despite snow outside, and I greatly enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen! There were more considerate touches from the host than most other places I've stayed. We found peace here!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at this airbnb and it was exactly what we wanted. Somewhere hidden and quiet surrounded by nature. Scene drive to the place and amazing view from the cabin too! For a lift style cabin, it was still spacious for two people who were tall. 10/10 stay! Def will come back to etlan.
