Vacation rentals with a kayak in Mason County

The unit was perfect. The only thing was that finding the place was a little tricky. Finding the address was easy, but it was hard to find which cottage was yours. Otherwise everything was great!

We immediately felt at home with the cozy and welcoming decor. The personal touches made it feel more like a family cottage than a rental which was a major plus! The kitchen had everything we needed - including condiments, baking items and spices. We cooked most of our meals at the cottage so we could maximize our beach time and watch every sunset. The grill was so clean we figured it was brand new. The cottage was clean and had lots of extra towels, pillows, linens and other essentials. Our only regret is that we didn’t book another week!

This is a wonderful place for two families to stay in adjacent spaces and enjoy both Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan. Wonderfully set up for young families (with playground equipment in the lane) and excellent water access. This was our second year and we plan to continue the tradition next year!

This was our family’s 27th year at Vacation Lane Resort and 11th year in the Swan & Dove cottages. We absolutely love the screened in porches and lovely view of Hamlin Lake. Betrice is quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating. The cottages were spotless when we checked in. Thanks for another great year!

This location is an absolute gem, beautiful and pristine, from home to panoramic views! This is a bucket list destination, with endless possibilities for family fun and lake activities! The breathtaking vistas and sunsets were beyond words. Our hosts were amazing and attentive, their home is both gorgeous and peaceful. The opportunity to stay here was truly a gift, and I would highly recommend it! This part of the lake is so calm, peaceful, and relaxing. We truly enjoyed lounging on the grassy knoll & dock, and enjoying the kayaks and SUPs. The lake is so pristine. This visit felt like a piece of heaven. Josh responded as needed (no complaints) This home was perfect for our family trip. Lots of room, bedrooms and bathrooms. It is in a very private location on the north side of the lake. The kids loved the trips to the sand dunes and fishing. We didn’t see a lot of boat traffic during our stay which was nice for casual rides on the lake. Sunsets are beautiful from the front porch. I think the dock should have a ladder into the water because access to the water is difficult for children and older adults. I would return for another family vacation!!!

This cottage on Long Lake was quaint, cozy, and beautiful! Perfect for the adults and we want to rent it again next June!

Lovely place. Tedros is responsive. He has an extra, personal agreement you will need to sign after you book, so be aware of that. Place was a little old, but we enjoyed it.

Our family of 4 (2 boys, ages 5 & 7) stayed at The Robin for a total of 5 days. The condo itself came equipped with everything you may need for small children, including beach toys, a removable shower head, & safe & sanitary eating space, cozy bedrooms with ample storage, a washing area outside, & kids books/activity books. Tina & Ed were wonderful hosts & Tina went above and beyond in communicating with us in a timely manner & providing us with the utmost hospitality, including pre made beds for our kids & and early check in. Tina was very helpful in guiding our family to the best places to visit while in Ludington. The location was so close to downtown, Stearns beach, & Ludington State Park. The scenery was remarkable & having access to a private beach with a washing station was so convenient. We very much enjoyed sitting right outside the cottage taking in the beauty of the sunset on a cozy swinging bench. Overall it was a 5 star experience. If I could give it 10 stars, I would! ❤️

Gabriel and his rental exceeded our expectations and provided for a wonderful, peaceful, and relaxing getaway. Gabriel accommodated us on extremely short notice after we had an issue with another rental. Even on short notice, the rental was spotless and had everything we needed for a great trip. We so appreciated his welcoming hospitality! Both the humans and dogs loved swimming in the river on the property, having bonfires outside, and both the front and back porches were great for lounging. We loved having nearby access to so many adventures (kayaking, Manistee, beaches, etc), while also appreciating the privacy, nature, and space at the Airbnb itself. During our stay the days were sunny in the low 80s, and without air conditioning, we found it to be extremely comfortable sleeping with all the air flow from all the windows. We were able to keep the house cool and comfortable. I would love to stay here again! We wish we had more time there and hope to be back! Great rental & host!

My wife and two other couples went to enjoy the Manistee Christmas celebration. Taylor's lodge was a good fit for all of us. Beds were comfortable, kitchen & dining rooms were very workable for our needs, the upstairs living room with the TV was very nice and the pool table was an added benefit. While I've not played in over 15 years, his pool table reminded me why! We all enjoyed laughing with each other...:)) We all recommend enjoying this lodge.

Our stay was exactly as expected. There is no TV and no Internet and Tina describes that in her listing, it was perfect for unplugging from life, it was was simple and easy to stay here. I couldn't stop taking pictures because of the constant changing scenery, it is beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful location. This is the perfect get-away, its quiet, simple, clean, and HOMEY! It was so easy to settle in and relax. This was a birthday gift for my partner and he absolutely adored every second of it. The fireplace is big, the hot tub is fantastic, the location is private but close enough to town that a nice restaurant isn't more than 30 minutes away. I have no complaints! I've never rented an airbnb before and the hosts were incredibly kind and easy to work with. If you're considering this BnB, I certainly recommend it. Thank you!

The cabin on the river was a perfect fall getaway. It was very peaceful, the house was comfortable and perfectly matched all descriptions. The fire-pit out back made an absolutely lovely evening. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.

Awesome place! This was the third consecutive year I have stayed here and there’s a reason why!
