Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Marion

This home exactly what we were hoping for! Great kitchen and plenty of space to gather with family. Comfy beds!!! Brenda was so nice and super helpful, and really went out of her way to make sure our family felt at home. We’ll stay here again on our next visit, for sure!

We came for a family reunion. This was amazing place for a few family's to stay together. Wish it was not so cold so we could have been outside more. I would go back again.

We were passing through and needed a last minute stay. They were awesome to accommodate our same day booking. It’s a charming farmhouse on a farm setting with the sights and sounds of farm life greeting you in the morning. Our kids loved to see the cute cows. It was clean and had what we needed.

This place is adorable! The instructions were very clear, getting in was a breeze, and I felt right at home. Very nice shower! We thought the kitchen decor was reminiscent of a 50s diner. It was great vibes. David was a very friendly host. The house was clean. Overall better than any hotel I could've possibly booked. Would be a great place to bring kids and/or a dog because of that beautiful yard as well. I especially loved the counter space in the bathroom. Made it very easy to do my hair and makeup!

A very clean and comfortable stay with everything one could possibly need, including things you didn't know you needed. I'm a repeat visitor and each time I notice some new little convenience or extra.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were visiting for a college tour at SIU and our kiddo felt right at home & enjoyed how stylish it was. We enjoyed the sectional couch and plentiful blankets for relaxing in the evenings after long days on our feet (between college tours and exploring nature.) We didn't get a chance to use the firepit but were excited to see the bundle of wood and smores supplies. The house is walkable to downtown and we really enjoyed breakfast at the branch and dinner at thai taste. If the kid goes to SIU, I will likley return here for visits. Michael was friendly and responsive to messages/questions and the house had lots of small touches that made it incredibly comfortable, like a fan for the bedroom and a top notch coffee maker

Tammy was fantastic and kind. The place was great for a weekend of turkey hunting and close enough to get to the city to shop and find other things to do as well. We would stay again.

The hosts were flexible, friendly, and responsive. I have never experienced better. They were flexible with an emergency last minute booking. They made my entire trip to Illinois worth it. Thank you!

Ashley and her lakefront rental were both amazing! She made check in and out so seamless and easy , place was juys wayt we needed As makanda girl I really enjoyed the peaceful private yet safe neighborhood feel a lot It was wonderful to sit on that bench and watch the sunset over the lake and was so serene Hope to stay there again sometime Ashley was great

Anna's listing was just as described. Nice place out of town. Anna was very friendly and responsive. She worked with me on entrance due to a funeral; which I greatly appreciated!

We had a great time staying at Steve's Hideaway in Golconda. The location is relatively close to some fantastic hiking trails in Shawnee National Forest. Rebecca was a super responsive, friendly host, and she even went above and beyond to lend us a couple items we needed while we were there. The apartment is spotless, and we are SO grateful that we found dog-friendly lodging so we could bring our fur-babies hiking with us, which they absolutely loved! The beds are super comfy and have the softest linens ever. Rebecca was also really flexible about check-in and check-out times, which took all the stress away of having to time our trip just right to arrive and leave on time. Our family had a great experience!

We had a wonderful three nights here, thoroughly enjoying the cabin, pond, and birds. Sitting on the porch in the mornings was a true joy, watching the trees and flowers bud and listening to all the songbirds. We've heard the resident owl(s) every night along with the pond frogs; a little bit of heaven. We also like the area and have visited several towns. Years ago, I (Chris) did a lot of camping and hiking in Shawnee National Forest and it was great to be back in the area. The cabin and its amenities were perfect for us (love the shower!). 5/5 stars, lovely peaceful place to stay and easy to find. The nught we stayed the area was under a severe weather and tornado threat and within less than half an hour of checking in the host came and talked to us and gave us an escape plan to go to a safe place if the weather got to bad out since we were staying at the cabin on the lake. They went above and beyond to make sure we would be safe during our stay with the storms coming in. Would definitely stay again!

The Hygge cabin was private, beautiful and so charming! It was clean, welcoming and was a great getaway from home! We really loved the layout of the cabin, the decor, and the hot tub on the deck was so lovely. I appreciated the framed instructions throughout the cabin, thought it was a nice touch! Overall a very lovely place to stay that my husband and I would stay at again and again!

This is a perfect little cottage near the lake. It had everything we needed, including nice outdoor patio spaces for eating and a big firepit. You can't see much of the lake from the cottage, but it's easy to get to - across a quiet road and down a very long flight of stairs. There's a nice big dock for fishing, swimming, star gazing at night, boating, and just relaxing and enjoying the view (it's a particularly scenic section of the lake because there is no development on the other side of the water - just forest!). We loved having access to kayaks and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would love to return in summer when we can swim and do even more water activities!

Traveled with my husband, teenage daughter and our puppy. Pet friendly! Super clean and fresh! Hot tub was an attractive amenity. Host is very responsive and the site is just off of major roads so it is easy to find, yet also quiet. Very central to all the must see sites near Shawnee National Forest. Lots of amenities packed into a small space. Great for a long weekend stay!

We were surprised by the amenities and care that Mary took to get the place ready for our stay. She had all the essentials in case you missed packing something and more. She was very responsive when we asked for dinner recommendations. The cabin is right at the entrance to Godwin trail and 1.5 miles from the cross. It is walking distance to the cross as well.

If your idea of Heaven includes a beautiful lake view in a tranquil setting where you can relax, I have good news. This location is it. Joanna Beth responded to questions quickly and I felt confident that our stay would be a perfect getaway, which was correct. The space was clean, comfortable, roomy, and had everything we needed. The recommendations for restaurants in town were really helpful, and we enjoyed some of the nearby hiking opportunities as well. We will definitely stay here again in the near future!

This place is so worth it! Geloria’s cabin is fantastic. We had to change our honeymoon plan last minute but we were able to talk to her and made a reservation painlessly. The cabin turned out to be better than our original plan! We will come back again for our anniversary for sure. Rechel & Ploy
