Charmful Cabin next to refuge

AmberRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I loved the amenities at this home! It was great for an extended stay and pet-friendly! The location was only a short drive from restaurants, stores, and outdoor activities. The backyard was adorable. The amenities were truly unique. Linda left a dozen of fresh eggs on the fridge and pick your own garden on the property. The home was very clean and the decor was outstanding! The host Linda was AMAZING! She was so responsive and helpful. There was no excessive check out cleaning rules like other places I have stayed. Just lock up and leave. I would highly recommend staying here and when I come back to the area I plan on staying here again! Thank you Linda! You are a wonderful human!!

Shawnee National Forest getaway.

TamiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Alice's airbnb was very private and peaceful. I enjoyed seeing her animals, especially our sweet visit at the door by one of the roosters. The space was just big enough for my husband and I with our dog Toby. The place was very clean and the bed so comfortable. She's in a great location for you to see what all the Shawnee National Forest has to offer and so much more homey than a cabin. Some of my favorite areas to visit were the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, Burden Falls, Iron Furnace, Dixon Springs, Chocolate Factory, and Garden of the Gods Outpost store had anything you could want. These are just a fraction of what there is to see in the area. We were able to see a lot. Brochures available were helpful. Favorite restaurant there is Shotgun Eddys. Great tasting food and big portions. The breakfast is the best as well as the fried fish. They have a bloody mary that's a meal in itself. I had the pleasure of meeting Alice and hope I get the chance to stay at her place again.

*Magnolia Inn* Rv/boat parking!

ChantRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had a great time and Patrick and Jennifer’s place in Carterville! Very clean, looked to be newly renovated, exactly as described. The instructions to find the drive and get into the house were clear and easily followable. Comfortable furniture and spotless amenities. Nice lil neighborhood, it felt quite peaceful and safe. I didn’t really need to reach out to our Hosts for anything, they had everything covered for us. STL was only a little over 2 hours away, and we took a day trip there. Lots of hiking, lakes to swim, and local restaurants around Carterville as well.

Modern Dome in Shawnee Forest with Hot Tub

TeresaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you're visiting the Shawnee National Forest or just looking for some peaceful time in nature, this is the perfect spot to recharge! The experience is truly unique — even as someone who doesn’t usually camp, I was completely impressed with the dome. Kyle clearly put a lot of thought into every detail, from the layout and site to ensuring guest comfort. I loved the beautiful surroundings, the cozy dome itself, and little touches like the luggage cart at the end of the drive. Plus, the s'mores packet was such a fun and thoughtful addition, perfect for enjoying a movie out on the deck. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would! Thank you for such a wonderful experience — I’m already looking forward to my next glamping adventure!

Lake of Egypt Hilltop Retreat - Sleeps 8

FerdinandRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We recently stayed at this Airbnb and overall had a pleasant experience. The place was clean, spacious, and well-kept, making it a comfortable base for our trip. There were a few minor issues: one piece of furniture was already broken when we arrived (though we didn’t need it), and I had to report it to the host just to keep them informed. On our last day, the kitchen power tripped when we used the microwave and toaster at the same time, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, with only one bathroom, we occasionally had to wait on each other, which might be something to consider if you’re traveling with a larger group. Despite these small hiccups, the home itself was nice and quiet, and the host was responsive. I’d still recommend this place, especially for smaller groups or families looking for a clean and spacious stay.

Modern Cabin at Trillium Ridge

SheilaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Wow! Our stay at this place was awesome! All of the little details of the cabin really made the stay comfortable. It was clean and had the modern amenities that really stood out from other places we have stayed. Philip thought of everything! We were even welcomed with some goodies, a bottle of wine, and a handwritten card! We truly enjoyed staying here and almost didn't want to go home! Lol!. We will definitely be back in the Fall time to enjoy the tranquility and leaves changing colors. Thanks for the hospitality!
