Monthly Rentals in Madison

We had the great fortune of staying here over the holidays. We decided on a last minute extended trip and were over-the-top pleased with the house and the location. Right away we felt like we were home- our hosts have done a great job laying out the house and decorating. We were all super comfortable- family of five plus Grammy. Everything in the house works very well and is so well located to any and all attractions. Definitely check out the guide, all of the recommendations are amazing and will help you feel like you’ve lived there for years- it’s a guide to the best of the best. King Pine down the street is beautiful for developing skiers :) Overall the hosts are very reachable, house is perfect and my kids wanted me to add a bit about the little sledding hill in the back if you’re lucky enough to get snow.

Was perfect for my daughter and I. The couch was more comfortable than mine at home. Loved it! Had everything we needed to make a few meals and enjoy our holiday exploring. Had salt to help with snow and ice from storm. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our mini-vacation at Lakota Cottage. It is nestled in the woods, far enough off of busy Route 113 that you mostly only hear the sounds of the river and brooks running down the hill. The cabin is cute, comfortable, simple, but nicely decorated, and clean with a roomy bathroom, nice full kitchen, and a beautiful deck and outdoor space (which we could not use, alas--too slushy during our trip). The bedrooms are very small, so things could get tight for a larger group but it was perfect for my husband, my dog and myself. The location is great for activities in the White Mountains and the Lakes Region--just down the road from Conway and the entrance to the Kancamagus Highway. Jana was easy to communicate with. Word of caution: Access to the house is via a long staircase. There's a handrail and motion lights, but guests should be careful of snow and ice (they had been shoveled and sanded before our arrival) and the cabin might not be suitable for folks with mobility issues.

We loved our stay here. The canoes and kayaks were so fun to use on the lake. Easy driving distance to North Conway and all the restaurants, as well as all the scenic mountain areas. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the firewood and smores items provided!
