Family-friendly vacation rentals in Ludlow

Had a great stay at this lovely cottage for a few days that was in a great location for travelling in to Cheltenham. Property was spotlessly clean when we arrived and we were supplied with clear instructions prior to arrival. Nice, quiet location and the hot tub is a fantastic addition! Will definitely use this cottage again!

Very remote and good break away from it all, around 15 minutes to the closest pub. Definitely worth stocking up on food and drinks to make it a fully remote experience. Great quality hot tub, clean cottage and had everything we needed.

Had a really love couple of nights with a group of friends over New Years Eve. Margaret was really helpful, she met us when we arrived and showed us around the house so we knew where everything was. The place is huge so that was really helpful. It looks just like the photos and is in a really lovely place, we could see horses out of our window and at night the stars were really bright. It was a perfect countryside escape and really well suited to a big group of people.

We stayed here for one night and it was amazing, Emma is so lovely and accommodating. The area is very private and quiet, it’s so relaxing and peaceful. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The hot tub was prepared for us, logs were ready for use in the log burner and fire outside and she even left us marshmallows to toast! We loved how sustainable and good for the surrounding animals the area is, especially the pond full of frogs! It was so cute and special, thank you very much Emma!

The second time I have stayed at Richard’s beautiful hut. Such a peaceful location and lots of lovely places to visit nearby. The hut is well thought out and comfortable. Secure garden for my dog and fantastic hot tub!

Much needed relaxing weekend. Perfect location for the family to meet up with our daughters arriving from London and Liverpool by train and us traveling from Gloucestershire by car. Accommodation had everything we needed, with plenty of space. Large fenced garden for the dog and a hot tub for everyone else! Well equipped sunny detached cottage. Thank you for having us 🥰

Such a great place - as a previous review said: if you are considering it definitely do it! like staying in your own mini hotel - so interesting and quirky - great for a mixed group Rugby Six Nations in the snug complete with real fire close to the bar for some, pool tournament for some and champagne in the hot tub for others😊 Such a fab way to spend a big birthday Saturday. Kitchen was fabulous and, with it previously being a professional kitchen, everything was so accessible and easy to find. Breakfast hamper most welcome. In house dining by Viki was a real treat for our Saturday night. The beds were SO comfy...and so many fluffy towels everywhere! lovely setting - and the walk up Grinshill, as recommended by the hosts, was a must for those that do.. All in all the whole place and experience far exceeded my expectations for my extended family 60th birthday celebrations.. The pictures do not do justice to the size of the place.. Looking forward to our next visit

Nigel was an amazing host, so friendly and attentive checking we had everything we needed for our stay. The accommodation was exactly as expected and more, absolutely lovely stay :) had the best valentines and will definitely be booking again for the future :)

We had a lovely weekend away at the chocolate house. Ian and Christine were very friendly and welcoming. The house had everything we needed. The fire made it very cosy, the wood was included in the price which was really good. Danny the dog was lovely! The garden was very secure for our dogs and the hosts were more than happy for them to roam around. Pubs within walking distance and we found everyone friendly! Pandy inn in Dorstone is worth a visit but best to book. They squeezed us in after a lovely walk from Arthur’s stone, which was very kind and service was amazing! Also very dog friendly.

A beautiful property in a lovely location for the town centre and the hills. Private entry and garden. Spotless and well decorated. Lisa is responsive to questions and messages and helpful with local suggestions.

I can’t recommend Jacqui and David’s place enough. They were ever so friendly, welcoming, and kind (especially as I’d driven a long way!). They gave the best recommendations and were always available and to hand if I had any queries. They were always around for a chat, which was nice as a solo traveller. The facilities were very clean, the bed was sooo soft and everything down to the small touches was absolutely perfect. I shall miss Barney (their beautiful dog) very much. I would rush back in a heartbeat! Thank you both kindly for your hospitality.

Wonderful long weekend at Flagstone Cottage, the most peaceful place we’ve ever been, no car noises whatsoever and beautiful scenery. Cottage was exactly as described. We asked for the BBQ to come back out and Clare actually brought out all the outside furniture for us to use which was a nice surprise when we got back from our day trip. Our 5yo daughter loved the mezzanine bedroom and being able to have multiple baths a day (we only have a shower at home). The walk from Llanthony Priory up Hatterhall hill is amazing and the pint in the priory grounds at the end was very scenic and rewarding! Hay-On-Wye is well worth a visit, Abergavenny also.

I and my husband had a wonderful stay at John’s place. The bnb was as described in the listing and location was really nice & peaceful. John & his lovely wife made us feel comfortable and treated us with delicious sourdough and home harvest. They had couple of animals in their farm including white peacocks, horses etc. which were pleasing to look at. We hope to visit again sometime in future and would definitely recommend it to anybody searching for stay in the area. Thank you again for hosting us 😇

Absolute home from home, from the pictures and descriptions it was exactly as we expected. Phil was there to meet us when we arrived, showed us round and explained everything before leaving us to it, but ensuring we knew we could contact him at any time if we needed to. Extremely comfortable, everything you could need, and fantastic to find some where that allows 3 dogs as that can often be a barrier when looking for some where to stay. We would definitely recommend and return if in the area again.

Elizabeth was super helpful and friendly and greatly aided our transition into the UK with two little ones. We appreciated her fully equipped kitchen and updated shower/bathroom. Our two week stay was comfortable and wholesome. We enjoyed the fish&chips down the road and the walks to Aldi & ASDA

Great few nights away for Halloween! Cosy barn tucked away, surrounded by trees and fields. Swimming in the heated pool at night in October was great. Geoff was always at hand with any queries or recommendations. The Halloween decorations was a nice touch for the kids to keep pranking each other throughout our stay. Great setting for a general chil out with films and board games. Hartlebury Castle was a great few hours out and not too expensive. The Willow and Boar was 2 minutes up the road for a nice breakfast. Would highly recommend The Pool house! Thanks to Geoff and Alan!

Lovely stay! Shops within a walkable distance. Comfortably sleeps 8. Living room only comfortably sits 6 with sofas. Nice to have the kitchen and living room open so people can all chat while cooking. Some of the beds comfier than others.

The perfect escape! Farahnaz and Paul are really helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The Summerhouse is so secluded and cosy. it really is a proper escape from the "Busy Life" Shakurs on the corner is a great place to eat if you get the chance. Thanks again Farahnaz & Paul, We will be back.

Just finished a two night stay at this fabulous cottage. we had the best time to just relax & spend time together. could dip in the pool when we wanted to or take in the beautiful views. Katherine is a great host & we hope to return to this great place of retreat for peace & serenity

We had a 3 night stay at the paddock lodge, on arrival we were greeted by Sara & were instantly made to feel welcome. The accommodation was amazing cosy & just what we were looking for everything was clean & perfect for us looking to be self catering. Beautiful surroundings to walk & sit on the patio watching the horse & chickens. I would definitely like to go back & stay again & highly recommend this accommodation thank you Sara & Phil.

The retreat is in a beautiful location , surrounded by hills, countryside and lovely walks. The property was beautifully clean and welcoming and the swimming pool is an amazing facility. Everything was perfect , and we will definitely be back.

We have stayed at Wellfield a few times now and always have a great time. Beautiful house, pool and surrounding area. Richard & Jill are lovely hosts.
