This home far exceeded my expectations. I have a travel party of 6. There was more room and space than expected. It was a nice change. The home and grounds were kept very clean and orderly. That is great for me because I love organized and orderly. There were plenty of dishes and cookware. I like to prepare meals for my team and everything I needed to cook and clean were available. The magnificent view of thr lake across the meadow is priceless. I can't be more pleased with our experience.

The house was just as described. Very peaceful location, But easy to get around town in a very short amount of time. Next time I am in the Des moines area I will try to book the house again. The host Jeannette was very helpful.

This is a gorgeous home, beautifully appointed. Our host was very friendly and responsive. Check in was easy and she had a wonderful kitchen! Coffee and tea were in the cupboard. There was a hot pot and french press!!! This is going to be my place to stay in Iowa!!! Peaceful, well appointed and lovely. Highly recommend this home for your stay in south central Iowa!

We loved the cottage and the beautiful lake! Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and our time here with family! Everything was clean and fresh!

The place was clean, welcoming, and had everything we needed for a weekend away. We would recommend this property to others! The hosts were responsive and kept the line of communication open. We had a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Brandy's! My wife and I were in Des Moines with our newborn baby boy, and Brandy's place was clean, comfortable, and cozy. We loved the 4 season porch. Our favorite aspect was the kitchen, which has a full size fridge and freezer, tons of counterspace, and large sink, and a great gas stove. The washer and dryer in the basement was super helpful too. Brandy even dropped off a couple of meals from her restaurant to have while we settled in taking care of a new baby during our stay. It was absolutely delicious. Her restaurant is called The Grateful Chef, and we highly recommend it! We will definitely stay again the next time we are in town!
