This place is a true oasis. I loved seeing both the sunrise and sunset right from the bedroom. The sounds of the gently lapping waves put me to sleep too! You can literally spend all day every day right there, and just feel so relaxed. Dale was really easy to communicate with, and the layout of the place is such that you can see the ocean from all the main rooms. The house is big, bright, and spacious but at the same time is cozy. Everyday we would eat breakfast overlooking the water, go for walks to the beach, and if you're crazy like me, I did polar dips right there at the small beach right at the house. This place was perfect for my mum with mobility issues because the whole main level has everything you need, and there are minimal thresholds throughout the house (she often trips on them), and there's even a walk-in shower.

One of those rare times when a house described as "stunning" really lives up to it. John's house near Halifax is beautiful and serene, all windows and wood and incredible views out to the water in the cove and ocean beyond. Surrounded by trees and a garden path down to the dock, it feels private but not isolated. Great house on the inside also - spotlessly clean, streamlined so there's no clutter but everything you need, simple but quite beautiful also. Comfortable beds, great kitchen and bathrooms and just full of sunlight. Can't imagine a better spot to relax and recharge, and close to lots of good hiking. John is super friendly and responsive, a great host - look forward to coming back.

I cannot say enough about the Herring Hole Hideaway! If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil experience, this is it. Nestled in this small fishing village, you have harbour views on one side and rocky coastal views (that recede with the tide) on the other. The cottage is beautifully decorated and calming inside. There is a trail not far from here that takes you up around the coast to the Terence Bay lighthouse that we just loved. This was a wonderful home base for travelling to the local attractions and scenery. The firepit and hot tub were lovely additions, but we especially loved getting up with the sun and warm drinks on the deck watching the sun go down. If you are after a stunning natural retreat, look no further than Kim's place.

We stayed here for a week in the fall and even being outside of beach season this location was amazing. I loved hearing the waves every morning and watching the sun rise. The space was great for myself and my 4 boys and I loved all the special little touches Krystina left in the cottage. I loved the proximity to Peggy’s Cove as well. Krystina was also super responsive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and hope to visit again!
