Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lower Hutt

WOW! We had the most magical time away staying at Hannah’s place. It was so beautiful! Amazing views, and so relaxing! The most perfect little getaway! Our host Hannah gave us some great recommendations of what to do around town. We eBiked through the kaitoke regional park and the Queen Elizabeth Park track. At the bottom of the hill we became regulars at the Beach Road Cafe! It’s a must try! Delicious! Thank you Hannah for your amazing place and fantastic service!

Absolutely gorgeous house in great walkable location to so many cafes, restaurants and sights to see. Hosts were fantastic, proactive and the treats upon arrival were very well received.

I think it might be impossible for pictures for Maddie’s Place to capture the sheer quaintness and attractiveness of this spacious unit. It is fantastic. Landed way above expectation. Maddie was personally very communicative and helpful. Local transportation and shopping are so close. Would definitely plan to stay here again. Thanks for a great 5 days, Maddie. PS we were at Maddie’s Place over Christmas. Walked in our girls were thrilled to see a decorated tree in the living room..,with the lights on. AWESOME!!

We had a great stay here. The house is lovely and has great views over the water. We had our own car and access to all parts of Wellington was easy. We’re quite a bit fitter for the walk up the stairs each day, but the cable car access is great also.

After naking our booking month's in advance, we were impressed by the open communication, the warm welcome we received, the accommodation was as described. Really good instructions on how to get through gate at the bottom of driveway and which driveways to take to get to accommodation. I did message to see if we could arrive earlier and it wasnt an issue. Will be recommending the stay to friend's etc. Far enough out of Wellington for the peace and quiet but close enough that it wasnt a long drive to Wellington cbd. So nice listening to our native bird's during the day and night when we were actually there.

We had a relaxing stay at Nicola’s beach house - it was very comfortable and we found everything we needed to self-cater. Nicola was easy to communicate with and we appreciated the personal touches eg leaving us scooters and boogie boards to use, as well as fresh flowers on the table. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at Steph's beautiful home with our daughter and grandchildren and enjoyed a lovely, homely stay. The weather was kind and the home is situated in a very quiet enclave that is very sheltered. Upstairs there is a lovely view of Lowry Bay from the main bedroom balcony. So close to local amenities with beautiful Days Bay a short drive away for a nice swim and eats in the quaint cafe overlooking the bay. Charming 20 min ferry ride to central Wellington for a shop and look around. Highly recommend this spot with the seclusion of a secret garden and the convenience of a great location.

Elizabeth's home is impeccable. It's a dream of a place to stay. The expansive views of the ocean, thoughtful design of the structure and grounds, and tasteful interior decorating are among the best we've experienced in our travels. The pictures are gorgeous, yet can't do justice to the vistas, which must be seen in person.

My family and I had a great visit. The four of us each had our own bedroom and enjoyed the many restaurants within walking distance. Very clean and well furnished. We would definitely come back as our favorite breakfast eatery, Neo's and Dad's favorite burger, beer restaurant, Burger liquor were less then 5 minutes away. Thanks Sue. :) Mr. K. We had a fantastic stay at Sally’s apartment. We loved the layout and especially the extras like the sauna and steam shower. Apartment has everything you could possibly need and the parking space was a good size for inner city and easy to access. Only a 5 mins walk to some amazing restaurants on Cuba Street and a small convenience store right opposite. Highly recommend!

We rented Sally's house for a family reunion, with family coming from overseas. Overall, the place was great for our purposes. The house was very tidy and clean, supplied with everything we expected. Also, Sally set the house up with details that made us feel quite welcome. From the beginning, Sally was friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were private, two of them with their own bathrooms and decks. We spent most of the time in the lounge and kitchen on the third floor, where we also had decks with great views. Big TV screen, cable and other entertainments. I would strongly recommend it.

Alexandra and Matt are very welcoming, as their house and their garden, also Frankie the cat. For us this wonderful place was the perfect start for our new zealand round trip. We now already miss the breakfast on the terrace. It was really pleasant to be your guests. We just can recommend this place. Thanks

Dan's place was perfect for the 4 of us - two very large bedrooms to choose from, and two separate bathrooms. The living spaces in the bottom level of the house were all very spacious and well-equipped - the kitchen was fully stocked with plates, cookware, cutlery, etc. They even had some food staples that we were welcome to use, which was really appreciated :) We took advantage of the coffee machine with the provided coffee pods! The house has central heating, which worked great since it was storming the first night we were there. We also used the electric fireplace in the lounge, which was lovely. The street itself is very steep, which is classic Wellington! But having the private parking spot in front of the house was really handy. The house is super close to the city centre, only a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk. Loved the autonomous check-in and check-out; Dan sent through all the instructions, which were very clear and easy to follow! Highly recommend Dan's place!!!

Nessa and Stefan were the besthosts! They made us feel welcome, comfortable as soon as we arrived. We actually took up an offer to stay in their beautiful home in Belmont as the Boulcott home was given to a couple who booked and needed to extend their stay. I highly recommend a stay with them or in their Boulcott property as they go out of their way to provide the perfect stay in immaculate and comfortable surroundings. Stefan’s coffee and home made honey and breakfast cereals were exceptional! A 10/10 stay with 10/10 hosts! Thank you for your hospitality and friendly conversations. All the best.

Arrived very late, however it was easy to follow self check in instructions and nice home with good sized bedroom and separate kitchen area available for free tea / coffee and other facilities which was a nice touch. Many thanks.

Our little crew came down to Wellington for an Irish dance competition and felt really lucky to stay with Willie and Kathleen for that. Their very warm welcome was all we needed and we had a very pleasant time at Finnismore House, appreciating and admiring all the house has to offer. We can only recommand the place for those seeking a genuine BnB experience. Thank you!

Good to be back down the Ferry after 10 years , "the wanderer" is a beautiful place , very welcoming, homely and all you need for a stay away from home! Lew's hospitality was next to none ,delivering fresh flounders on 2 occasions to feed our army . Much appreciated, will definitely be back oneday 🙏
