Gustavo’s beautiful family took wonderful care of us and welcomed us as their own. Our young daughters had a cultural exchange with his that we won’t soon forget. So glad we stayed here.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Aliuska's home. She was a wonderful and caring host. We were able to bring some donations to her school next door and that alone was worth the trip. The waterfalls and the orchid gardens are a short walk away. Dinner and breakfast served by Aliuska was delicious. Hopefully we can return soon.

We are extremely happy we ended up visiting Soroa and spending the night with Mayda. Mayda and her husband were very warm and welcoming. The room was basic but better than expected for the very affordable price. Although not mentioned in her listing, the coffee in the morning comes from her coffee plants grown right on site. Her dinner and breakfast was a lot of food and a great price too. Mayda's son-in-law gave us a really great walking tour of Soroa at an exceptional price. When I mentioned that I am interested in local honey, he took me to a local beekeeper who let us extract honey directly from the hives. What a memorable experience! The only downside is that water pressure was a bit low, so it took some time for the toilet to refill and the shower pressure was ow, but those were not significant issues, especially given the location. If you weren't thinking about visiting Soroa, you should add it to your list and then stay with Mayda. It's close to the waterfall and gardens too.
