Great friendly welcome from Patrick, nice supply of essential food, especially enjoyed the local butter. Wonderful location- the various seabirds/ waders were a real pleasure to watch. The local corner shop has everything you need regarding food, and much more besides. As we were staying for Christmas the tree with lights was appreciated. We will certainly be returning in 2025.

We have had a really lovely stay for 4 nights at Karen’s apartment. The apartment is extremely comfortable and very well equipped with quality furniture, linens and kitchen equipment. Karen has thought of everything that we could need during our stay. Everything is spotlessly clean and fresh. The lounge and kitchen overlook the sea and it’s possible to walk straight from the property entrance to the lovely long promenade . There is a supermarket nearby and buses run regularly into Edinburgh. We would love to stay in the apartment on our next trip to the area.

We are frequent travelers to the Edinburgh/East Lothian area and this is the best place we have stayed for many reasons. The hosts are genuinely warm and welcoming, clearly focused on making your stay enjoyable. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and is truly a luxurious treat. There was nothing we needed or wanted that we did not have and it felt like home. The views and the wood stove are phenomenal. The many gifts we received and the Christmas tree waiting for us when we arrived made our Christmas truly special. Last but certainly not least is Sadie, a wonderful spaniel co-host. Our family thoroughly enjoyed her visits. We cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is!

The place was perfect, exactly as pictured. Walkable to shops and pubs. Easy access to buses. Everything we needed was available.
