Pros: - jacuzzi - arcade area - quiet atmosphere and proximity to Hocking Hills Cons: - one of the two entrances to the community had more than a few potholes - the lawn was being redone, so it was challenging keeping the mud at bay due to rain - three of the bedrooms don't have doors, as noted in the listing

We had a blast! We came down for a weekend with 3 couples and 4 children and the house was the perfect size and space! The pool is awesome and the lake and surrounding area are awesome! 100% will stay again and recommend to others!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here, so much in fact we have discussed coming back and booking this place again because of how beautiful it is! Katie was very responsive, gave clear instructions, and was proactive with her communication. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Nice quaint spot pretty close to all the trails of hocking hills. Felt private enough despite having a few neighbors near bye. Great fishing spot just a walk away from the cottage. Only issue was that there is no air conditioning from what we saw. Tried lowering the thermostat but didn’t do anything. Couldn’t find any air vents for where an AC would come from. Recommend bringing fans for the hotter months but luckily it wasn’t too hot and opening the windows brought a good breeze in.

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway here. Everything was clean and I was impressed that the kitchen was very well stocked. The hot water flowed great so the showers were glorious. The only thing that I noticed was the bed seemed to be a little wobbly.

This was our second time staying at Ann’s. We love it so much here. It’s beautiful and has everything you need. Even with the rainy weather, we still went out to hike but it was great to come back and have a place with things to do on the property as well. Thank you for another great weekend!

Beautiful place. Exactly as. described. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything needed to make breakfast. Never seen so many light switches in a place before. So happy they were all labeled. Will stay here again.

Love this cabin! Our second stay here. Comfortable and roomy in a beautiful setting. We especially enjoy the electric fireplace, very cozy! 1st Choice Cabin Rentals hosts are helpful and quick to respond. Will definitely try to book this Airbnb next time.

I hate to give a such a glowing review because I don’t want to generate more competition to rent it in the future, but this venue was wonderful. We stayed this location for OU Mom’s Weekend & it was a fantastic choice! It was the perfect place to relax, connect and unwind when we weren’t in Athens. It had absolutely everything we could have wanted. It was a convenient Uber ride away & perfect for a group of moms. If you want a sweet place tucked away from the hustle with some cool country amenities, then this is the rental for you. It looks like they’re in the process of making improvements, but honestly the imperfections were part of its charm. Highly recommended!

Serena’s place was very peaceful retreat on a ridge in the woods, looking out over the forest. I loved the many thoughtful touches to the cabin and I was made to feel very welcome. The location is nearby to hiking and a lake at the state park. All together, the green touches made me feel like I was part of nature. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect, I highly recommend it.

What a beautiful place to stay! Peaceful and in the woods, just what we wanted. We had no idea we would be in a camp ground. There were decent trails right there, which was nice, but definitely don’t miss Hocking Hills! A couple amenities were listed in the AirBnb listing that are no longer offered, like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and I thought wood for the fireplace was included—which it was until the last day, then we were told to buy it for $5/bundle. The listing just needs tweaked. We had everything we needed to cook breakfast and make a couple dinners, so kitchen was well equipped. Over all, a great place to spend a short honeymoon. I will return if we don’t have our RV next trip. And…. Might call to see if we can park here a couple days if we do have it.

Beautiful Loft, responsive host, easy to get to.

The Boone cabin in Moonville was absolutely incredible. Upon arriving you drive through a huge set of concrete eagles which is a good indication you are just about there. Phil was quickly to respond and the cabin and property were way more beautiful than the pictures in the posting. If you want a tranquil peaceful weekend this is the place to go. I have stayed at many cabins over the years around hocking hills but this area blows it right out of the water. Less tourist traps and more raw nature with plenty of trails for hiking and some civil war history to explore. We will be back!

This property is 5 star! The home was beautifully decorated and super clean! The beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with everything you may need for your stay and bathrooms clean and spacious The grounds were amazing! We enjoyed the trails, the pond, the hot tub, fire pit and the game room! Our grandsons spent hours playing all the games and hanging out in the amazing game room. There are so many extra nice touches to make you feel at home! Bonnie communicated every step of the way and was very helpful and friendly! We have stayed at many rentals and this is definitely one of the best properties we’ve ever booked! We hope to book again soon!

My daughters and I were looking for a peaceful retreat to get away from the crowds of Athens for Mom's Weekend at Ohio University, and we found the perfect spot! From the moment we walked into the door of this cozy cabin, we felt relaxed and content. Liz provided all the essentials and so many extras- from fully a stocked kitchen to locally ground coffee, as well as extra treats for us and even our dog :-) It was a rainy weekend so we didn't get to take advantage of the hiking trails or nearby lake activities, but it was wonderful just sitting on the lovely screened-in back porch overlooking private, quiet woods. I am ready to go back! Thanks so much for everything!
