Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Loch Rannoch

Gorgeous house in a stunning area. We were using it as a base for some hill-walking and the house was super comfortable, with plenty of space for all our kit and damp clothes. All the bedrooms were equally nice. It was really handy for various hills and also - importantly - for the two days the weather was too bad to walk, it was a cosy and comfortable place to take refuge. Great to watch the weather howl around outside from such a warm dry sitting room!

What a fabulous house for our weekend in Aviemore in a great location. Beautiful furnishings, so well equipped and the hot tub was a real treat.

We had such a lovely stay at Fortrenn! The house and views were absolutely beautiful. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Duncan was a great host - sharing directions and instructions before our arrival. Would love to stay again in the future :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Locheil was so clean, comfortable and cosy! We felt so relaxed during our long weekend break. Our dog Izzy loved chilling in front of the wood burner. The location was perfect, only 10 min walk into the town but also lovely local walks nearby. Great base to explore the beautiful surrounding area. We will definitely be back! Thank you Jane & Karen. Heathers place was absolutely perfect . We loved the wood burning stove which kept us cosy and the house was really homely . The seating in living room was comfy , the bed was comfortable , the kitchen was well equipped and there was a very generous welcome pack which was a really lovely touch. We could not fault anything at all . We will definitely be back.

We were only able to stay one night, but we were greeted with a tin of homemade shortbread that was such a welcome treat, after a long day on the road.

After traveling for two months, we chose to spend our last week at Andrew’s place in Fort William. The apartment was a wonderful place to relax before heading home. We especially loved the fireplace, full kitchen, and spacious bedroom. The location is perfect. We were able to walk most places and if not, a short drive would get us where we needed to be. We didn’t use the car much so if you’re on foot, this location can still work for you. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ross's place. Ecclectic, funky, unique apartment in a fantastic location. Ross, then host, was extremely helpful, very friendly, and made us feel right at home. There are tons of great restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions very close to and walkable from the apartment. The view of Arthur's Seat was a really cool feature - but trust me, everything about this place is cool. Highly recommend a stay here while in Edinburgh.

Iona's place was amazing! The apartment it's self is very private and has everything one would need, but is also in a fantastic location for touring Cairngorms National Park and the cute towns with it. There were several little touches in the apartment that made me feel extra welcomed, along with super clear instructions to help make travels very easy. I highly recommend!

Gareth's place was an amazing stay! GREAT location, so central! Clean and tidy. Cosy also with the chilly weather. Host communicated well and instructions were precise. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone wanting a central, quiet location in the middle of Edinburgh!

Excellent accommodation very clean and tasteful decor ! Loads of bars and restaurants near by and only a 20 minute walk to the centre of Edinburgh! What a lovely place to stay! Easy to find, beautifully appointed and so much character. Best of all it was so close to the Castle and right in the heart of the Royal Mile. I truly enjoyed my stay, couldn’t fault it!

A homely, tastefully furnished and well equipped property in the beautiful town of Newtonmore. Communication with the host and housekeeper was great from start to finish. Highly recommended if you’re planning a visit to this part of Scotland.

Amazing hosts, perfect house! The house had EVERYTHING you could think of, they really have thought of everything! We stayed here for Christmas and it was so magical, better than we could’ve ever imagined. Incredible views for miles, so beautiful and picturesque. Communication before, throughout, and after was perfect and so helpful! Nothing felt like too much to ask. We will definitely be staying again :)

Best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at.. Ellangoran was a dream, just like the pictures. Beautiful, warm house with very comfy beds and everything else we needed, Robin was so thoughtful, kind and very communicative. Location was perfect, just a short, very picturesque walk to Loch Ness and restaurants, gift shops and the convenience store. There was so much to explore right there. Loved the little wooded area across the road that led to Loch Ness also, straight out of a fairytale. The only thing I would’ve changed was the length of my stay! Will definitely return when I can, best part of my trip.. thanks so much Robin!

Beautiful house with high quality furnishings. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all well maintained and modern. Beds are very comfortable. Host was brilliant and very helpful before the stay as well as providing a lovely welcome hamper and ice for us. The hot tub was a brilliant addition and was well enjoyed. Overall just a fantastic stay and would highly recommend!
