Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Loch Ness

We had a great time here! The host generously provided us with plenty of free snacks and drinks. She also has an adorable dog, who is very well-behaved and won’t be a bother even if you’re not a pet person. The place can be a little hard to find at first, but the room and shower are both very nice.

Strongly recommended. The rooms are very high standard with a lot of interesting pictures and items around the house. Its literally looking like a museum. The house was very cozy and the hosts were very friendly, welcoming and with an icebreaking sence of humour. In the morning after our check in, we explored their garden, if I can call ot like that, its more like a private park with a big pond, lots of paths, chickens and ducks. The breakfast felt very special, we were served with homemade marmalades and jams, selection of centrals and eggs from the chickens in the garden, while watching out from the dining room's window to e beautiful view with birds flying around just in front. If we can summerise it, It felt like we were in paradise.

I had an amazing three-night stay at Anne and Mark’s place in Kingussie. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The house was cozy and welcoming, offering the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Anne was an exceptional host—responsive, friendly, and always eager to help. The breakfast each morning was perfect, setting me up for a great day ahead. Their dog and cat were also a delightful part of the experience, making my stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was Anne’s recommendation for a five-hour hike, which I took and absolutely loved. The surrounding nature is breathtaking, and the remoteness of Kingussie makes it an ideal spot for those looking to escape and unwind. While Kingussie might not be for everyone due to its secluded nature, I highly recommend it to anyone seeking peace, tranquility, and a deep connection with the outdoors. Anne and Mark’s hospitality made my stay truly special, and I would love to return!

Great location and wonderful hosts Well appointed room

We were on the fence about booking a room in someone's home as we've never done it before...but we couldn't have been happier that we did! We enjoyed our stay, the bed was super comfy, the breakfast was great and Jamie was so helpful at helping us plan! If we were to come back in the future we wouldnt hesitate to stay again!

We had a great time at Highland Peace going into the last day of walking the West Highland Way! He was a great host, giving us local recommendations and great friendly conversation. The room was comfortable and the location was easy to find. The highlight of the stay, however, was definitely the breakfast John cooked in the morning!!

We had a wonderful stay at Maggie’s. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and made to feel at home. The accommodations were accurately described, very well maintained and comfortable. The continental breakfast available n our room to have whenever we were ready, had a variety of breakfast foods. We had a good rest after a long day n the Isle of Skye.

We were very comfortable with Jane and John on their farm! Jane was super friendly and personable! The farm is located on an idyllic hill with lots of nature all around, not far from Aberfeldy, where you can find everything you need. We would visit again! :)

I had a very good stay at Heathpark House. Very interesting place. Chris and Meg are great hosts. Breakfasts were amazing. Will stay there again if I am again in that area.

I had a wonderful stay at Ornum Cottage, a charming bed and breakfast near Beauly and close to Inverness. The peaceful and scenic surroundings made it a perfect retreat, and the location was ideal for exploring both the countryside and the city. The cottage was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, with a delicious breakfast that added a special touch to the stay. The hosts were attentive and provided helpful information, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Ornum Cottage for anyone looking for a tranquil escape with easy access to Inverness.

It was a lovely stay, as remote as it could be. Very well maintained and clean. Wish had a few more days to stay ta this lovely location.

We had a quick stopover. Everything was great. Les and Alison were very welcoming and the home-cooked breakfast was delicious.

Had a fantastic stay at Gerry and Karen’s, so comfortable, clean and in a perfect location with parking. Gerry and Karen were amazing hosts, so friendly and welcoming and their breakfast was very tasty. Would highly recommend.

Only one night but enjoyed this flat and A’s hospitality in the beautiful Pitlochry. Lovely large comfortable room with beautiful views over the church and surrounds. Easy walk to town. Everything as listed. Thanks A!

Everything was as described. Holly and her family were very warm. They gave us advice about what roads to take during our trip. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a peaceful place outside of the city.

Susan and Derry are legends! If we could give them and their beautiful mountain view home 10 stars, we would! Their warmth and grace went above and beyond even the best Scottish hospitality, which says a lot. The homemade Scottish breakfasts were to die for. The room and the bed especially were so comfortable and truly every detail was considered in making our stay perfect. We cant wait to visit again!

Very cosy place and exceptional views

Sara was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm and the bathroom was spotless. The Old Surgery looked out onto the water and was in a great spot for amenities. Would definitely go back there. 👍

From the 1st communication to leaving Joyce & Alan, so friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They both made us most welcome. If ever we need to come to this area again we would have no hesitation to book with them again.

We had a great stay with Chris! The location was ideal…only a ~7min walk to the bridge and access to restaurants and other city offerings. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked with yummy snacks (& even a little whiskey!). Chris definitely knows how to make a delicious made-to-order breakfast! I appreciated his communication l, not just during our stay but even before our arrival, making some great suggestions of places to see along our drive to Inverness. Chris is a wonderful host…we enjoyed chatting with him each day!

I had a wonderful stay at Sarah and Yorick's home that has been built with much thought and love. They have done a great job at carving out a safe space, which is further amplified by the vast nature and stillness at the doorstep. Meals using vegetables from the garden with other guests facilitated eclectic discussions and I learned a lot. A great wee get-away.

Excellent B&B! We stayed in the Balmoral room, which was very spacious, had a charming patio overlooking gorgeous pastures and mountains. The bathroom was also large and lovely! Very comfortable bedding and access to good wifi, TV, and tea cart when winding down at night. The breakfast was phenomenal! Absolutely loved the eggs benedict, the home cooking and baking was superb. Wish we stayed longer than 2 nights! Hosts were friendly and had good recommendations for local diners and activities.
