Location was perfect for access to the Carneddau, Glyderau, and Snowdon side of the mountains. The house is very quirky and renovated to a decent standard. Everything was clean and tidy and very grateful for the initial supply of logs for the wood burner. Host was proactive from the start providing all the information I required without asking. Would love to stay here again and explore more from the doorstep, but this was purely a mountain climbing trip. There were no issues with parking until I arrived back around 1830 on the Sat. The closest place to park was 200m away up on Caernarfon Road. I just moved my car down to Beach Road early on Sunday when there was plenty of spaces 30 seconds from the back door.

Our stay Restful Retreat Our stay exactly matched the description of a restful rural retreat. This is a beautiful home, comfortable, tastefully decorated, clean, and has everything you need for self catering. The hosts were really helpful and always ready to help if there were any problems. This was a really lovely place to stay while visiting my sister in the area.

This is the cleanest place I have ever stayed in! Everything is pristine and it was an absolute joy to stay here. I can't praise the cottage or the host highly enough. Basil is friendly, responsive, and very knowledgeable about the locality.. giving tips for walks and eating out. Kitchen is extremely well stocked! We had a snag with the cooker where the left oven was broken but Basil responded immediately after we messaged him. He tried to repair himself but couldn't get the part as it was Christmas! We made it work though and it didn't retract from our enjoyment of the cottage. One radiator in the bedroom clicks loudly when it turns on so we had to alter the heating timer. Beds are v comfy. We went for a long hike around Llyn Padarn and the large corner bath at the cottage is fantastic for a long soak for sore legs! View from the garden is so pretty that I sat out every morning with a cup of tea admiring it. We loved our stay and we plan to return. Basil's place is an absolute gem 💎
