What a lovely cottage in a beautiful town! The interior design is gorgeous. It oozes charm and character and is a treat to return to after a day out and about. Matt and Kay provided a very detailed manual with everything you'd need to know - inside and out. So much so, we hardly needed to reach out to them for anything at all. I can't wait to stay again and I've been recommending the cottage to other family members who want to stay in Buntingford to visit relations. Great job Matt and Kay. Thanks for the lovely experience! Such a beautiful house which looked even better in person. Katy greeted us upon arrival which was a lovely touch & was very responsive throughout our stay. The house is furnished beautifully & is in a great location with Newmarket high street less than 10mins away. We also went into Cambridge which was only a 25min drive. We would love to return, thank you!

This place is just stunning. Beautifully decorated and kitted out. Everything comfortable and homely. The hot tub was spotless and soooo lovely. Parking right outside your lodge. The setting is idyllic with the fishing lake just in front and it’s so very peaceful. You can feed the ducks as they come up to the lodges. There’s donkeys, geese, ducks, alpacas and peacock/hen. There even a games room on site with a snooker and pool table and dart board with lots of board games etc you can play. A lovely welcome package on arrival that included a bottle of Prosecco, bread, milk and biscuits. Really helpful guy on site that couldn’t do enough for us (think his name was David). Good comms with the owner Sharon. Would highly recommend.

Wow! This is spectacular hosting! The cottage is squeaky clean spotless everywhere. It is very comfortably furnished throughout, a great balance of period features and 100% modern convenience. It’s a beautiful home, lovely back garden, characterful rooms, comfy beds, sofas and all very much in keeping with the cottage itself. Lots of hot water, great heating (we visited in February) , very nice bathroom with bath and shower. Esther was very helpful, friendly, clear and responsive. The hosting was immaculate, the house instantly became our country cottage, it is walking-round-the-corner sort of distance to shops, pubs, cafes, antique shops, farmers market and Guild Hall. We left this afternoon and I’m missing it already! If you’re looking for an authentic olde English place to stay, this delivers everything :)

We stayed for a long weekend in this beautiful cottage Everything was perfect, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Lavenham is lovely, we visited Tatum’s Tea house and the Great House Hotel for a Sunday roast dinner which we highly recommend We will definitely be back to stay again

We arrived in the dark and the area is very rural and so peaceful. We met Donna whilst taking the dog on a stroll around the farmland. Advised to take a good torch if walking at night. Lovely local pubs but a decent walk away, great villages and takeaways in nearby villages a 5 minute drive away. we stayed in and cooked a lovely meal the first night, perfect for a remote and quiet romantic stay, was sad to leave.

Lovely stay and and much needed relaxing break. The breakfast bits were a lovely touch which meant we could have a slow relaxing morning without having to go out and eat.

We had a lovely stay and our host was great. Good local knowledge and recommendations and very friendly. Hot tub was fantastic too!
