Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lichfield District

Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

Fantastic stay! A lovely break from hectic life! The hot tub was perfect temperature, size with a great view The pod had everything we possibly needed and the space was used well. Great shower and kitchen facilities. Will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful stay. Lynden accommodated all needs and helped make a birthday truly special. Couldn’t recommend more for a weekend stay. Hot tub was the highlight! Lovely and warm and looks over farms with plenty of animals, that are all super friendly.

We spent three nights at Sue’s farmhouse and it couldn’t be better. It is quite remote which means peace and fresh air, but also accessible to Ashbourne for food and restaurants. The beds are very comfortable (considering myself to be quite picky with beds and pillows). The kitchen is very well equipped and we had everything we need for cooking dinner. Thanks for your hospitality and we really enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mutton Barn. The house was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The location was perfect: a beautiful, rural position - so quiet - all we could hear was birdsong! The views from the house were outstanding! We loved seeing the wildlife: badgers feeding on the lawn, pheasants in the garden, deer roaming across the fields and a bird of prey swooping from tree to tree as we drove up to the house on our arrival. Paul was a very friendly, obliging and helpful host - we certainly appreciated the lighting of the log burner each night. Many thanks too, Paul, for the champagne, milk and chocolates you left for us - they were much appreciated!

Just got home from a lovely, relaxing stay here. Met up with 5 friends who now live all over the country and this was a great, central location. Tom met us as we arrived and showed us how everything worked. House was clean with some quirky lamps, each bedroom had an en-suite plus kettle and cups. The hot tub was a perfect addition. Lost many an hour chatting away while sat in it. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful place for a relaxing girls weekend away. Plenty of space for the four of us. Very well equipped kitchen. The outside dining space was a wonderful place to have breakfast before we left. Thank you so much- will recommend to friends!

Such a wonderful couple of days attending our daughters wedding. Made even more relaxed by staying at Lizzie place. Fantastic directions and info sent in advance. The Old Barn was such a delightful place to stay. Beautiful and peaceful setting, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, even the little dog came in to say hello as we were leaving🥰 I would definitely recommend this home to anyone.

The property was clean, quirky and homely which was just what we expected. We already knew the location well and there were plenty of shops, eateries and supermarkets. It was just what our family needed to be together in the evenings after a family bereavement. Jane was lovely, friendly and very responsive despite being abroad at the time. There was everything you could wish for provided and a great dining room with drinks fridge for eating together. Thanks Jane for letting us stay in your unique home.❤️

Lots of things to love about this place. On arrival we got straight in and had been left a pint of milk which was a nice touch as we were gasping for a cuppa. Place was spotlessly clean and tidy. Loved the garden - fully enclosed and large - perfect for our 2 dogs. Beds and linen were comfortable. Showers large and good water pressure. Kitchen well stocked with cooking essentials, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, French press, mugs, teapot, eggcups etc Clear instructions on recycling. A couple of things the host may not be aware of: The kettle turns itself on randomly - prob wants replacing as may be a fire risk. We turned it off at the plug. The kitchen knives are blunt - need either replacing or sharpening. We bought one in Tesco to use during our stay We would have appreciated bigger bath towels - not a deal breaker but we are used to bath sheets at home. The coil has come loose on the French press making it difficult to press down - may need replacing.

Loved the house and location. Turn right out of the back gates and it's a nice 10-15 minute stroll into the centre of town. Only two of us stayed but definitely big enough for 4 people. It felt like being home. Vicky the owner has a great collection of vinyl LP's and kindly allowed us to use her player. Highly recommended! Mike Wood

Zoe's place is a real gem. It is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy. Loved the tea/coffee & especially enjoyed the cake (thank you). Zoe was easy to communicate with and was accomadating and flexiable with checking my slight change of check in time. I met with family in The Navigation pub, 5 mins down road and retuned the next day for full english breakfast before, my long drive home. The Fox Den is excellent value you for money and the parking on site is an added bonus. You can easily bus or drive into the city. Which is 10-15mins away, although ensure to double check your car registration as there are fees for higher emissions. You can check on gov site.. simply google it.

wow, I was amazed with the views, the size of kithen and dinning area, rooms, numbers of toilets! it was all what we were looking for. The energy of house itself was very positive! thank you for a lovely stay!

Great few nights away for Halloween! Cosy barn tucked away, surrounded by trees and fields. Swimming in the heated pool at night in October was great. Geoff was always at hand with any queries or recommendations. The Halloween decorations was a nice touch for the kids to keep pranking each other throughout our stay. Great setting for a general chil out with films and board games. Hartlebury Castle was a great few hours out and not too expensive. The Willow and Boar was 2 minutes up the road for a nice breakfast. Would highly recommend The Pool house! Thanks to Geoff and Alan!

Fantastic stay at the Hayloft cottage. The beautiful private surroundings just outside of Stratford upon Avon town was perfect and kept immaculate. Wendy made us feel right at home and the place was snug and cosy for the 4 of us. Complimentary treats for valentines went down a treat and we loved the pool and hot tub experience which was all pristine and well organised. Thank you so much Wendy, already planning our next trip! Had the most wonderful 3 nights in Cow Pen Cottage. Perfect location with a fantastic farm shop (Cobbs) next door selling fabulous top quality local produce to make wonderful breakfasts with. Wendy was so helpful, giving very clear instructions and points of interest to visit. The cottage is quaint & full of character but still has all the mod cons necessary. Wendy gave us a lovely warm welcome with strawberries & prosecco and chocolates by the bed. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were clean and a very welcome addition each day. There were so many attractions within a very short drive and that made Cow Pen Cottage the perfect base to explore Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds. We will definately be back some day. We Had a Great Time! we Enjoyed the lovely warm pool And the Hot tub, the views are amazing! The cottage is really cosy, and the surrounding countryside is beautiful, we went to The Cotswold Farm Park for a day out- strongly recommended for families with small children. All in all a fabulous holiday we will definitely be coming back!
