Tigh Na Bruaich

LukasRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Location, location, location - that is why I choose this listing as my wife was joining me after a business trip to Scotland and I wanted to make sure she was comfortable and we had a nice place to stay. It wasn't inexpensive - this is probably the most we have ever paid - but I know my wife. Looking over the options in Portree, there was too much at risk choosing a B&B or hotel, I needed to be sure that the stay was excellent. And it was! The view was exceptional, the property clean and largely odor-free (it is next to a fish and chips shop, so the kitchen had a bit of an odor, but the bedrooms were odor-free!). I would stay here again, as noted, not inexpensive - but not many choices for AirBnb in Skye so this was by far the best choice in my opinion!

New! Isle of Harris Coastal Cottage, sleeps 6

IanRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Staying at the Old Mission House was a tonic. The house is spacious, very well proportioned and tastefully furnished whilst the kitchen is comprehensively kitted out - down to blender and spices!. All appliances are modern and effortless to use (particularly the electric space heaters). Above all they fit the bill, are appropriately sized and located and function perfectly. The situation of the house is wonderful and the creatively landscaped garden which stretches and gives access to the lochside is heavenly. All you need is some cooperative weather - ideally with some sun. Should it be pouring, all is not lost as the 270 deg. views from the house can equally be enjoyed from within and are very immersive. Thank you, Una for a perfect holiday. We will surely be back! Au revoir Ian Camilleri, Malta

Easter Byre, Uist’s stunning West coast

MaryRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had such a lovely stay at Easter Byre. The cottage was beautifully restored and furnished, and very cosy to be in, whilst still being spacious. We arrived quite late, in the dark and John and Jacqueline’s instructions made it easy to find. The fire was going and the cottage was warm and welcoming when we got there. They gave us privacy throughout the stay, but it was really nice to be able to meet them and chat with them on the farm, and learn about life on North Uist. Jacqueline bakes delicious sourdough bread, and delivered some to us every second morning - it was perfect for breakfast. They gave us great recommendations for walks and places to eat. The beaches nearby them are beautiful and lovely to walk - we were very lucky with some sunny days. I can’t recommend this place highly enough - it was the highlight of our Scottish holiday 😊.

West House, Cottage by the Sea.

CarolineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We (2 couples and a dog) escaped Storm Darragh in England and stayed here for a week in December. Beautifully decorated, spacious, and well equipped. Very close (50 steps?) to the Stein Inn and Loch Bay Michelin starred restaurant where we enjoyed some delicious meals. The cottage's heating was super responsive so whether you prefer your room cool or cosy you are well catered for. The log burner was delightful. Locally there are independent shops and galleries, interesting historical sites and stunning scenery. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Would happily stay here again or recommend to friends/family.

Kneep Cottage - a cosy cottage beside the beach

DavidRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Really lovely house in a wonderful location. Would love to spend more time there! Loads of space and one of the two living rooms had loads of toys and books for the kids which they loved. Big kitchen, 2 spacious lounges, 2 large bedrooms, absolutely perfect. The private garden with its own walk to the beach was special too.

Beautiful Sea Front Property Shieldaig

TeohRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fantastic stay at Sarah’s place in Shieldaig! The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and the loch. The house was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sarah went above and beyond as a host, providing local tips and even helping us to ensure we are comfortable with our stay in the area. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to explore this beautiful part of Scotland. Thank you, Sarah, for an unforgettable experience!

Newton Marina View

Mary AnnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The flat was exactly what I needed - quiet and close to where I was working and to all the town's amenities. There was almost everything you could want or need during your stay provided. In the kitchen the cooker and the washer/dryer were high quality and efficient, and in the bedroom, the bed was really comfortable - and had an oversized duvet with lovely linens to complete the good night's sleep. Perfect base for a business trip but would be great for a holiday base as well. And the dogs say thank you too.

An T-Iasgair pod Glamping on a Croft with sea view

CoryRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Words cannot accurately articulate just how EXTRAordinary Sandra's Airbnb is. Photos do not do adequate justice. This Gem in the Isle of Sky is absolutely the very best experience we have ever had with Airbnb and we Airbnb A LOT! From the start of our journey, Sandra's advice and council on getting to the Airbnb, along with her insights on our desired journey were not only incredibly helpful but selflessly thorough and compassionate in nature. Her clear and informative direction on getting to her Airbnb, along with parking safely and enjoying all aspects of the Airbnb were out of this world and her hospitality is unparalleled. Not to mention, all of the extra sweet touches in the home are like nothing we've ever experienced... hot coco AND marshmallows! Coffee, honey, grains, a variety of spices and everything and more than you would need to enjoy a home cooked meal and settle into a beautiful night. Unbelievable! The local whiskey was a huge favorite of mine along with my wife! A+++++

Stunning location right on the beach with ever changing views. House well provisioned and extremely comfortable so when the Western Isles weather was not playing ball we could just relax in the house, keeping warm with good wifi and enjoy the views. Walks to Vallay Island superb at low tide. Just need Calmac to sort their ferries out!!

CaroleRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Wonderful stay. Well situated to expore North and South UIst, with lovely cafe, fish shop, and wool shop, within easy access. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very thoughtfully, and tastefully, furnished and equipped. Lovely views of the loch, and very entertaining sheep wandering by. Robin and Michelle couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break in their beautiful cottage.

Otter Bunkhouse Sole Use

MarinaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Otter Bunkhouse as a family of four (with teenage kids). The signs make it easy to find, but the location is secluded and peaceful. As expected, the weather gave us four seasons in one day and the bunkhouse was a cosy place to hunker down and watch the constantly evolving view from the three large windows and comfy chairs. It was a real privilege to share such an incredible spot and watch wildlife come by - otters, seals, squadrons of gannets diving for fish, curlews, eagles, and an array of other birds were infinitely more entertaining than anything a TV has to offer, and all four of us were transfixed. Bring your binoculars! Swimming in the lock was magic. Donald was incredibly kind, and when our ferry was cancelled because of the storms, we were grateful to be able to extend our stay (luckily the storms also prevent new arrivals - phew!) Brilliant base to explore Lewis and Harris which is an unforgettable experience!
