House vacation rentals in LaSalle County

The house was beautiful and perfectly clean. We had a great time enjoying the surroundings and going out to Ottawa and Starved Rock

Stayed for two nights with 7 adults and one toddler. Everyone loved the pool table, arcade machine and tv selection. Good location, lovely older home.

This private property, situated along the river in a tranquil and serene community, is truly remarkable. The rental matches the photographs perfectly, exuding warmth and charm while offering breathtaking views from every level. We appreciated the convenience of the open-concept kitchen, and having two full bathrooms along with a half bath on the main floor was a significant advantage. The master bedroom provided a comfortable retreat, allowing us to enjoy restful sleep. Although the sun did awaken us earlier on one occasion, the stunning view that greeted us upon opening the curtains made it worthwhile. The area boasts an array of excellent restaurants, all thoughtfully recommended and organized by our host. We relished our time at a winery for drinks and dined at several outstanding restaurants and a brewery located downtown, all of which were also suggested. We eagerly anticipate our return. Lynmari proved to be an exceptional host, and we extend our gratitude once more.

Michelle is such a great host. The home is so beautiful and filled with many things to do. There wasn’t a dull moment at all. All instructions were very clear. I overall enjoyed my stay, will definitely book again.

We come from Chicago a couple times a year to hike at Starved Rock, Matthiesen, etc, so we thought we would try staying for a full weekend. This place was the perfect fit. It was pet friendly, so our dog could come along, and it had great amenities at the resort. The staff was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful and serene landscape. The harbor is on the side of the cottage and the Illinois River is immediately across the street. A single female traveler, I found the area beautiful and neighbors were friendly. The cottage was clean and spacious. If you go, do stop by the welcome desk-the people there were friendly and kind! Would stay here again in the summer as I’m certain the place is hopping! Totally recommend staying here no matter the season.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. The kitchen was well stocked and there were tons of towels in each room. The beds were cozy and the heat adjusted quickly. The two highlights were (1) the beautiful deck overlooking the river, where we saw a bald eagle and sandhill cranes migrating and (2) the game room, where we enjoyed family games of pool and poker. The house was 15 minutes from Starved Rock and 2 minutes from a grocery store, so the location was super convenient as well.

Great little place to stay, well taken care of too. Would like some more instructions on how the house is expected to look. Just to make sure we, as guests, are doing all we can. Would recommend otherwise though!

The home was missing a few necessities but the owner was responsive and brought the items within the hour.

This home was absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the 1950s decore to having modern amenities like TV and A/C, this place was a incredible jump back in time. After this weekend, my now Fiancé (purposed tto in beautiful Ottawa during this trip) cried as we pulled into the driveway. We have wanted to stay in the very rare and amazing Lustron Home for quite some time. I have never stayed at a more relaxing or peaceful place when traveling ever! The history decorated throught the walls and the many touches around the home feel inviting and tells a great story. Karen was great and easy to communicate with. Leaving a bottle champagne ment worlds to us, your amazing! We actually found it difficult to leave, we wanted to stay more! There is no doubt we will be back again. Thank you Karen for inviting us into your home and letting us witness History!

Tom was so friendly! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable. Tom responded really fast when I had any questions. Even though the house was right next to the train tracks, we couldn’t hear a thing. Thanks Tom!

This house is the only place we stay when we come to Ottawa Illinois.

Excellent experience! It was Great! Found Everything we needed in the kitchen bathrooms bedrooms,plus comfy beds😴 Kids ( 9y & 7y) enjoyed the toys,books and games & backyard. We enjoyed our visit to LaSalle: recommend The Hegeler Carus Mansion Tour Celebration of Lights(🎄Christmas) I & M Lock #16 Visitor Center and nearby Starved Rock hiking the trails. Highly recommend! Plus house was decorated for Christmas 🎄🎅🤶👏Beautiful 😃

This is a lovely little home conveniently located within a few minutes of downtown and not too far from hiking in the state parks. The home is clean and comfortable with all of the kitchen amenities needed. Highly recommend!

We loved this place. So homey! It reminded me of visiting family that I didn’t know I had! The neighborhood is hospitable and there are horses and barn cats! Just as described

We were completely satisfied with the rental. Would definately book it again. The only one that had any issues was our Golden Retriever who would walk up to the fence and sit and stare at the cows....then spring to life in a fit of barking at them as they moo'ed back at her while furiously wagging her tail. 😅. She loved it too.

I really enjoyed my week stay at Elaine’s house. It was exactly as described and was perfect for my local stay in LaSalle. I loved how the house was decorated for the holidays! It was very warm and cozy. Everything worked as it should and the bed was very comfortable. I was in the area for work but if you’re there to visit Elaine’s local information provided is very helpful. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I would absolutely stay here again!

The home was absolutely beautiful. Very cozy. Great neighborhood. Elaine was very responsive when I reached out mid-travel. I will definitely see my home in Illinois away from home in the summer 2025. Happy Camper!!!

Had a great time with my family. A great place to go where you can enjoy playing games and having fun with your loved ones. Also enjoyed watching Christmas movies on a big screen TV in recliner seats! Wish I could have stayed longer. Had a great host that was willing to help us if we needed her.
