House vacation rentals in Lancaster

Lynda is a brilliant host and had tea, coffee, milk and fruits ready for us before we arrived. The place was very clean and felt like home. Kids loved the place and the board games. The icing on the cake is the location as, it is next to Ocean edge. She responded promptly for any questions we had. We have enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return back if we visit surrounding places. Thank you very much for hosting us Lynda, we had a great time.

We had such a fabulous stay at Carole’s place in Warton. The lodge was immaculate and so well equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, private and set around a lovely small lake. 30 minute drive to Windermere and 15 minutes to Lancaster. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

Lovely house in a great location near Lake Windermere. We visited with younger children and there was lots to keep them entertained. Although local play parks and the town of Windermere were not in walking distance to the house, this did not make any difference to our holiday as we would have driven with the children anyway. Brockhole park and estate being a great local spot for the family. The access to the local health spa was a great addition to the house.

This was the perfect place for exploring Kendal and the surrounding Lakes. We parked the car on the drive and didn’t move it for our entire stay, choosing to walk and use the very handy public transport to get around instead. We arrived at the spotlessly clean and very well equipped house around 3, then had a lovely sunset walk up to Kendal Castle before using the amazing lounge for a family games night - loads of room on the coffee table and very comfy sofas! The next day we caught the 555 bus to Windermere for £3, it took a very scenic 30 minutes and we had an amazing day exploring Windermere and Bowness before returning to use the pool and hot tub at the hotel 2 minutes away, then using amazing kitchen facilities to cook a family meal and have have a poker tournament! On our final full day we packed some lunch and had a walk to Scout Scar - amazing views. We then had the one of best meal’s we’ve had at Pappy’s Texas BBQ - would definately recommend booking in advance. Amazing!

What a wonderful host, and magical place. It was such a lovely time, we’ve booked to come again. Mike is a treat, a remarkable character who exudes a warm that makes you feel instantly at home. The barn is full of charm and the chickens, ducks and peacocks a delight (especially if you see them angling for a biscuit from Mike!) The pool is incredible. Perfect for all ages. We’re half visiting again in the hope the kids will be bored of the pool and we’ll be able to get out and explore more… I don’t hold out too much hope on that one. A real gem of a find.

Family of 4 stayed 3 nights in October 2024 and it was just what we needed. Had some beautiful long walks along the beach. The caravan was home from home, clean and cosy. It had everything you could want for cooking a simple breakfast to Sunday Roast. Clean and respectful surroundings around the park. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Delanie couldn’t have been more helpful. We arrived to an amazing welcome hamper and balloons for my sister in laws 30th. The house was lovely. The bar and pool area were just wow!! We spent the whole day by the the pool Saturday. It was lovely and warm and so relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful stay x

The property was superb, even better than the photographs. It’s ideally situated for access to Bowness and surrounding area. The views from the outside terrace were fabulous - even though the weather was mixed! The hot tub and games room were well used and enjoyed by our mixed age group. Overall a brilliant holiday in a beautiful home and David our host met us at the property and even allowed us in early!

The location was great and the apartment was great. Would definitely stay there again

We’ve had a wonderful time staying at Adam’s property. It was so good our children didn’t want to leave. The perfect stay for a family, with all the facilities required. Adam was there to answer any questions, and has been a great host. Book this property for your stay you will not be disappointed!

We booked this house as my Son will be starting work with BAE. We could not believe how close it was to BAE. The house was spotless and on a great link to the bus to Preston, just over the road. Morrisons shop, again 3 minutes walk away. There is a Pub next door but unfortunately was going through a refurbishment so we didn’t get to try the food etc. The garden was well kept as well. The only observation I can make is, it could do with bigger bath towels which on the whole was not the end of the world to us. Over all a great little house. We were very pleased with it.

Great sized place with all you could need. Walkable to the seafront and all the local attractions. Hosts are friendly and responded quickly when we had an issue. Would definitely come back

Great place to stay close to Windermere. Easy to commute across the Lakes. The house was beautiful & clean. Will definitely come back again.

Excellent stay, only thing I would have liked better would be the height of the ceiling in the games room, none of our group could stand up straight in there

Lovely place to stay was just unsure on the central heating but we switched it to auto and it came on at 6am didn’t really no how to use it shop nearby for all ur essential bits will definitely stay again thanks Carrie x

An absolute gem of a property! Spacious, modern, extremely clean and tidy. Excellent facilities, easy parking and close to town centre. Host was an excellent communicator, sharing clear instructions as to how to get in and subsequently leave the house. This is one of the best Air BnB’s I have stayed at and would highly recommended to any families to stay in. I will definitely be back. Dean Coady OBE

We spent only one night at Naomi’s place, arriving very late after a family event, but it was a pleasant overnight stay with super comfortable beds and a great shower in the morning. I left a necklace behind and Naomi and Darren kindly looked for it and sent it to me by registered post, for which I am very grateful.

14 of us stayed for my hen do and we had the best time! The pictures don’t do the house justice, it was perfect, spotless & had everything we could’ve needed. Communication was great, even responding to my bridesmaids when they were planning surprises or earlier check in. The beds were comfy, everyone slept well and there was so much space! It was a perfect location to travel into Liverpool for a night out and an easy walk to Crosby beach. There’s also shops & bars in walking distance. The area was peaceful with lots of parking spaces. I need to find another excuse to be able to stay here and would recommend it to anyone!

We had a fantastic weekend staying in this property. We were attending a football match at the Etihad and it was a short 10 minute walk from the house. Absolutely perfect for what we wanted, would 100% book in here again if we ever return to watch Man City in the future.

George and his daughter are lovely people. Their home is so clean, warm and had everything you could possibly need. Having it accessible for my son’s wheelchair was amazing and the downstairs bedroom really helpful. The location to visit Blackpool is just perfect, the tram stop is opposite so getting to the tower or the pleasure beach is easy, but the house itself is that little bit away, with excellent parking, making it ideal for a family. Very fair price too. Highly recommended.
