Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Lake of Egypt

I hosted a slumber party for my 10 year old and 9 of her friends, THEY HAD AN ABSOLUTE BALL!! The second night, my husband, mother and 3 children enjoyed a night ourselves, and no one wanted to leave the next morning! Thank you for providing such a comforting atmosphere for my family and I to enjoy!

We had a fabulous stay in this lovely home and will keep it on our list to return when next in So. IL. Thank you to Richard for making our visit so delightful.

Rebexlcca was awesome to work with as she kept me informed of anyone that was renting out the lower level while I was there for 5 weeks.

The place is better than we could imagine for deer camp. She thinks of everything and more for our to make our stay perfect

Very fast response time when I had questions, followed up after the questions to make sure everything was still well, and very friendly! I would 100% stay here again! Even with neighbors it was so peaceful and I had a wonderful time!

Ashley and her lakefront rental were both amazing! She made check in and out so seamless and easy , place was juys wayt we needed As makanda girl I really enjoyed the peaceful private yet safe neighborhood feel a lot It was wonderful to sit on that bench and watch the sunset over the lake and was so serene Hope to stay there again sometime Ashley was great

The house was just the right size and had everything we needed. Their property is beautiful with lots of trees and a pond. We saw lots of deer and some birds. The weather was not the best but we found a near by winery and a bowling alley and other restaurants.

It was a nice place to stay and they was friendly and helped you out any way they could.

Much needed quiet place to relax and have a kid free night. it's close to home and on the edge of a big town yet very peaceful and quiet location. absolutely perfect

Surrounded by woods, quiet and peaceful. Fireplace is warm and cozy and turns on with a flip of a switch. Hot tub was great. Hey google speaker was easy to use for music. Netflix available for a movie night in front of the fireplace. Requested to use the pull out couch/bed and it was actually quite comfortable and easy to use. Would definitely stay here again!

It was a great stay! Close to a beautiful parks and trails! Easy to get to and from. Great place for recharging our batteries! Very good fireplace and a nice small stream by the cabin!

Beautiful cabin in the woods, overlooking a lovely lake. It was a wonderful stay, loved everything about it.

This place was perfect for a cozy weekend getaway. Trees and privacy in the backyard, clean inside, helpful host, etc etc etc. It’s a small space with awesome upgrades like a gorgeous shower, hot tub, nice deck. Hopefully I have the time and money to go back!

I recently spent two nights at the Carlton Cabin and had an amazing experience! The cabin was spotlessly clean, cozy, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The Carltons were also incredibly kind and welcoming. The property itself was beautiful and peaceful, offering the perfect setting for relaxation. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway!

We stayed over the Christmas holiday to be close to family in Carbondale. The Red Cottage and Cabin on the Hill were the perfect setting. Quietly tucked away, so we felt we had our own private space. But 15 minutes away from family and amenities in town. The cottage was precious and we loved waking to the morning sounds of the waking farm. The turkeys and peacocks were favorites. It rained the whole time, so we didn’t get a chance to tour the farm- we’ll do that next time! The cottage was just the right size, and we spent a lazy, rainy morning in the hot tub listening to the rain on the tin-covered patio. Truly peaceful. We plan to make The Cabin on the Hill our regular stop when we’re in Carbondale!
