Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Michigan

Sundown Vista was great and a responsive communicator. They did not have a lot of red tape that other listings seemed to have. The place worked out perfectly to cook a home cooked meal for my college son and his friends, which is just what he needed to feel at home away from home.

My sisters and I were very impressed with Eric and Anna's beautiful historic home! We could tell that the home was well-loved by the family in the past when it was their primary residence. It was the most well stocked Airbnb rental we've ever stayed in, complete with beer, soda and water in the fridge and coffee and snacks included. Eric and Anna's attention to detail is evident, and there was nothing that was forgotten or needed during our stay. The baskets of toiletries in each bathroom, the boxes of tissue in each bedroom, the fully stocked kitchen- all of this showed that they care for their guests and wish them to have a pleasurable experience. The location is great and there were a number of shops on Main Street that were fun to browse. We spent a good amount of time at Plank Road Distillery and sampled their hand crafted spirits in their on-site sampling room. All in all, this was a great place to stay and we will be back.

Eugenie is an excellent host. She was communicative and everything was easy. She was out of town for a bit but had another person available and that person was very responsive. The house was exactly as pictured. She provided coffee which we greatly appreciated. All the rules and check-out expectations were reasonable. The house has everything you need, including gorgeous sunsets. Lovely deck, lots of space inside and out, nice neighborhood. In general, neighbors don't always like living near an Airbnb, but one neighbor greeted us as we arrived and was really welcoming. The price was very reasonable. I definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here! We had some car trouble so ended up being at the home more than we thought we would be but there were tons of board games and a lot of space for our large family to be more than comfortable. It is also in a really nice and quiet neighborhood and very close to walk to downtown! As mentioned in the post, there were a lot of extras for my kids (stroller, high chair, pack n play, toys, etc.). The kitchen had just about anything you would need. Thanks for making our trip so enjoyable! *Side note, the local car shop was incredible.

This is a great place. Very spacious and comfortable and close to downtown and attractions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Stayed for the weekend was a perfect cute place we enjoyed it even brought wine glasses because we wasn’t sure but they have everything we needed super cute place and clean we will definitely be back to stay 10 out of 10 recommended great host couldn’t of asked for a better weekend 💙

Great stay. We had a wonderful time and the arcade games were a bonus. House was so cozy. It started snowing just as we arrived so the views were gorgeous-even had a few deer show up to complete the view. Perfect place for a winter getaway-cant wait to stay there again in the summer.

I live in the neighborhood and had family visiting for the holidays -- this was a great location, close by to me and easy street parking. My parents enjoyed having space to relax in the morning with their coffee. My teenage niece loved looking through all of the puzzles and games. This is a great space for anyone coming to the city to explore - a quiet street yet easy to access everything in Lincoln Square and the rest of the city via bus or train. Highly recommend, a great space for any group.

This is a very nice apartment near Central Street in Evanston. The apartment was clean, very nice, and private.

Lovely, feature full space. Clean. There was some road noise due to heavy snowfall and the necessity of frequent snow plow passes throughout the night.

Our stay could not have been better. This was hands down the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! My two little kids, husband, and I spent the weekend at this beautiful condo. Location location location- traverse city was right out your doorsteps with all the amazing restaurants, parks, and the bay just a few steps away. The Airbnb has everything you would need for a multiple night stay. We can’t wait to come back!

Felt like home! We had everything we’d possibly need, even games and craft supplies for my daughter. The bed was comfortable and warm! Kitchen was perfect for making French toast with views of the lake and beach.

The place is conveniently located near restaurants, bars, and the water front. It was exactly what we needed for an extended weekend in Traverse City. We parked our car on Thursday and didn’t move it until Saturday afternoon.

Lovely little condo and it is the first door closest to the parking garage. Then only up half a flight of stairs and you were there. Only downfall was parking - the lot out back has less than 20 spaces, some of them handicapped. So we had to pay the $20/day to park overnight in the garage next door. The back parking lot was also not plowed well at all so walking thru on your way to places was a bit treacherous in December. But, all things out of the owner's control. Everything inside was pristine and beautiful. p Plenty of extra blankets and pillows too!

This place was perfect for a group trip. We had a minor issue with the gate code but the host was responsive and resolved it immediately.
