Cozy Lakefront Cottage Getaway with Relaxing View

Fishing Creek Cottage overlooks Fishing Creek, a popular recreational area on Lake Cumberland and a major arm of the lake. Pulaski County Park and its beach and boat ramp can be seen across the lake. Boaters frequent the area to ski & tube, but are distant enough that noise isn't an issue. We are the last house at the end of a quiet street in a residential neighborhood, & so have relative privacy. The large deck and impressive view are frequently referenced in our guests' reviews.

This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin located on acres of forest is the perfect family getaway! There is a king size bed in 1 bedroom. The 2nd bedroom has bunk beds—full on bottom and twin on top. There is also an air mattress. The spacious porch is equipped with a gas grill and furniture which allows plenty of room for relaxing, visiting, and grilling. We are located just 5 miles from Cumberland Falls, home of the famous moonbow. Numerous hiking trails and water sports are nearby.

Cute home in downtown Somerset

The property is right in the middle of downtown. Walking distance to the square and all the happenings of the Somernites Cruise that take place the 4th Saturday of every month from April to October. The home is spacious in the room sizes and the layout. Enjoy the front porch for relaxing or the back screened-in porch to read a book. The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place.

We stayed at Justin’s Place for our annual family vacation with our adult kids. It is a very nice space. Our interest was to spend time together in the same space, and Justin’s was perfect for that. Justin was easy to communicate with and very proactive with his messages. We had quite a bit of rain, but still enjoyed the deck. The house is next to the highway, but we saw that on the satellite image and were not surprised. The kitchen was adequately stocked with cookware and dishes so we could make our meals. WiFi was really good and able to handle 8 of us and our devices!

Absolutely worth the trip! Pristine home on a beautiful waterfront property, very well put together space, looks professionally decorated, and looks like it fell off the page of a magazine. Our host was very attentive to details, and responded within 10 minutes every time we had a question. Stephanie’s barndominium is absolutely beautiful! Due to work and our schedule we decided very last minute to take a very small trip for our kids for spring break. So glad we came across this listing! It felt so welcoming as soon as you walked in the door. Beautifully decorated and more than plenty of room. Although it was only our little family staying, you could easily have two families stay together with plenty of space. I must say the beds were extremely comfortable, and having two king en-suites were so nice! The kitchen was well equipped. It was nice having both a keurig and regular coffee maker. We will definitely look into staying again!

Comfortable and spacious for our party of 6! All beds were comfortable and everyone slept great. We loved the fire pit, Blackstone grill, and hot tub. Plenty of extras (coffee, spices, trash bags, detergents, etc). I love an owner that allows furbabies as we don’t leave our dog behind. We hiked some awesome trails in Daniel Boone National Forest. A great getaway!

The back porch has a beautiful view. It was a joy to sit on the back porch and have dinner with my kids. The neighborhood is quiet and everyone is so nice. The owner is very respectful and gets back to you very fast on anything. Definitely would stay again.

The Farmhouse at Brainard Valley Ranch

The home was beautiful, clean, and had all amenities we needed. Staying in a fixed up farmhouse like this was so unique. Our host, Audra, was polite and responsive. Our 3-year old son got a kick out of the horse, Whiteberry. He was very friendly and calm. There was plenty of land for my son and I to run around and play. Proximity-wise, it was 7 hours drive from Detroit, and it was only a 45-minute drive to Cumberland Falls. Our trip was cut short due to some bad storms, and tornado warnings. We were SO grateful for the cellar, we spent a couple hours hunkered down waiting for the tornado warnings to subside. The bedrooms were very spacious. Going up/down the stairs was a bit challenging, while carrying an infant. Thankfully there was a baby gate available, as well as a pack n play for our little one to sleep in. I’d recommend others booking this place. Thank you for hosting us!
