Vacation rentals with a kayak in Lake County

We there for a wedding and it was real to that which was awesome.

The lake house was something we booked way in advance in prep for a wedding and it really gave us so much comfort with our dog and toddler being fenced in and having things for them to do on the lake and in the yard. I love the little things too honestly like having a baby gate and dog bowls to use. Their cleaning supplies are accessible which i dont find everywhere and makes for easy and comfortable clean up if we need.. also spices in the kitchen. One of our friends left their keys and they were able to find it which of course makes us feel even more comfortable with our stay.. the beds were clean and comfortable. I had a lovely time staying there especially having seen some of the other rentals in the area, we really couldnt have chosen a better spot.

Beautiful properly. Very Large to accommodate large groups. The cabin is surrounded by natural beauty and is located on a private road with a few other properties which makes you feel like you’re truly distant and in your own retreat.

I had a truly relaxing stay at Vicki's place! The lake view was absolutely stunning and created such a peaceful atmosphere throughout my time there. The space was cozy, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. A lovely touch was when Vicki baked a fresh strawberry bread and left it for me to enjoy—it was such a thoughtful gesture and tasted amazing! Vicki was very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed, offering great local tips as well. This spot is perfect for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature while still being close to the area’s attractions. I would highly recommend it and definitely plan to return!

Loved the home with beautiful lakefront views in quiet neighborhood! Great linens and top quality fully furnished kitchen. Would love to return again in the warmer months to enjoy the lake more!

We are returning guests. The rate was higher due to the new pool they installed. The pool is great. They were having issues with the pool controller but they worked hard to make the heat work and communicate with us. Some extra directions regarding the pool controls would be great. The place is peaceful and clean. Both my sister and daughter commented on the towels having a funky smell to them. The house is a great place to stay. We hope to be back soon.

Lauren’s house is a great escape from the regular busy and touristy parts of Orlando, and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there and being able to retreat into the beautiful natural surroundings on our days away from the area’s amusement parks and attractions (only 30-40 minutes to Universal). We saw an alligator every day (the same one likes to visit the pier), saw a trio of black bears (mom and her cubs) during two mornings, and countless turtles, vultures, hawks, etc. Plenty of natural springs and state parks nearby with fantastic kayaking/tubing and manatee sighting options! Highly recommend to folks! Quick note: the shower water ends up getting a swampy-like smell if you take too long of a shower or have people shower back-to-back. Recommend spacing out showers to avoid the smell, as it can be pretty nauseating.

Beautiful and peaceful house..we enjoyed the firepit in the backyard in front the lake. The house is confortable and clean . The singing of the birds accompany us all the stay. Alisha was very responsive. We had an amazing experience.

Quaint little place as a midway stop for us. We were delayed by several hours due to traffic and our gps took us to the wrong spot at first. We finally arrived at almost midnight and everything was ready and Bernadette answered a question for us. The accommodations were great, it had everything we needed and was very clean. Right on the water and a lovely little dock. It was a little chilly and we only had a short stop so we didn’t get to enjoy the back porch but it looked great. There’s a great little stand down the road with boiled peanuts and they were delicious. The neighborhood is very quiet and everyone was very friendly. We had dinner at Gator Bay almost next door and the food was delicious, everyone was very friendly and a great atmosphere. Bernadette was a great host, she even came over and played with our dogs. We would definitely stay here again.

We came to Mount Dora for a family wedding. It reminded us so much of our hometown in South Alabama. We will definitely be back to do some more exploring.

I absolutely enjoyed staying here! it was absolutely peaceful and having coffee on the docks looking out onto the Lakewood peaceful and Serene. would definitely come again

As the first review of 2025, we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in your lovely home for the crossing over of the new year. We made beautiful and unforgettable memories with our family. This house was more than accommodating. Everything was available for our stay. From the front door all the way to the lake, all was placed with obvious care and love. Even our dog appreciated the provision of his very own bed. The icing on the cake was God’s hand painted sunsets for our family to capture in too many photos to count. It’s best summed up as our youngest son said- “It was Beary Fun!” -The Hogan Family

Beautiful log cabin in the woods sitting on a beautiful lake where you could watch the sunset from the back porch. When working in the area again this will definitely be my first choice.

Beautiful sanctuary in a quiet location. Loved being lakeside with a dock for sitting and fishing. Full amenities onsite and attentive host. Highly recommended location for a special occasion or weekend of solitude.

We had such a great time. We brought our boat and had easy access plus felt safe. We definitely would return and stay again.
