Lake Placid Area, Dukes Cabin-Dog Friendly!

Located between Lake Placid and Saranac lake, with Scarface Mountain only 200 yards away. Two bedroom cabin (King and Queen) with a large fenced back yard with a fire pit. This house is dog friendly with two large doggie doors to back yard. We do have an additional $75 cleaning fee for up to two dogs. Lots of parking and additional parking for trailers. A pontoon boat for rent. Nice back yard lounge area and a BBQ for grilling. The house is located on a main road there will be some road noise.

My husband and I had a very relaxing weekend away. The cabin was cozy, especially the beds and seating by the fireplace. Alecia made us feel welcome and comfortable with all the features of the house. She was very responsive and paid a lot of attention to detail. While visiting the cabin I was able to go for a long run (plenty of hills!) and eat at some delicious local restaurants. We look forward to an opportunity when we can come back.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing long weekend away at ADK! The surroundings were beautiful, the home was spotless and cozy, and the outdoor bonfire made for beautiful nights under the stars. The host, Erin, was incredibly responsive, kind, and proactive about any issue we ran into (of which there were very very few), which made our stay even better. We also appreciated the binder of suggested local activities, and we recommend that everyone who stayed visits the Nettle Meadows animal sanctuary that’s listed in there :) Thanks again!

Had an amazing time at this adorable cabin! We happened to be visiting during a winter storm which made the cabin even more charming. Jackie was wonderful and offered for us to change the reservation due to the storm but we decided to go ahead as planned and had a great time. The place was so clean, cozy and the views were amazing! Highly recommend!

Andrew’s place is one of a kind, a true escape from the mundane. If you’re looking for luxury and high-tech, this may not be the stay for you. If you’re looking for comfort, a disconnect from reality, and complete peace…. This is THE place! We are looking forward to coming back and checking out Babes Bar and seeing the flower farm while it’s active, we were just exhausted from our ski days to do anything besides enjoy the space.

Riverfront Cabin in Adirondacks

This small cabin has a perfect location in the Adirondacks, properly placed between Keene Valley and Keene. The cabin has great access to local hiking, the lakes/ponds, and especially located in the epicenter for the premier ice climbing destinations. I stayed for a week for ice climbing and skiing and it worked out really well. The dark skies at night is a bonus and there's no other houses close-by. The creek was frozen the entire week until the last day of my stay, it wasn't until then that I saw how pretty the boulders were in the creek. I'm assuming this is a nice place to be in the summer as well, especially with the creek right out the back door. I hope to rent this place again for a winter vacation and hopefully for summer rock climbing in the Dacks someday. The bed was really comfortable, the kitchen is small but perfectly setup, and the shower was modern and nice. I'm so impressed the with area mountains and am so happy that I chose this cabin that's in the perfect location.

We spent two nights during the shoulder season of fall/winter. I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely this place is for the price. We immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. Their hospitality and property is not something to be missed! I will absolutely be back to enjoy the airbnb in different seasons! One thing to note is if you’re tall the shower and bed are a little tight. Not a big deal but worth a mention. 10/10 stay.

Our stay at Canary Cabin was truly wonderful! It’s a perfect private location that is close to town and anything you may need! The place was clean and so many details made it cozy and comfortable. Very cozy and comfortable cabin in the beautiful Adirondacks. Right near gore mountain. One of my kids skied at gore while the others played on the sledding hill by the cabin. We loved making a fire at night in the fireplace. It was very peaceful. The owners were in the big lodge next door so we didn’t feel too isolated when we needed to ask a question. We want to stay again in the warm weather too.

Great place to stay for a single person or a couple seeking a quiet setting, walks in the woods, or skiing at Stowe. No other houses in sight. Excellent value for money. Some details we loved: The lighted address sign, so when arriving after a long trip at night we knew we were in the right place. The wood stove was easy to use and the radiant heat was great after a winter day outdoors. The cabin is cozy, but that is not a euphemism for claustrophobic: it has lots of windows, two skylights, and plenty of space. Very communicative and hospitable host, Stephanie. We only dealt with her remotely, but she has a caretaker nearby. She made us feel welcome and was alway there to help. Our stay had more of a personal, than a corporate feel, which we appreciated. We were glad we had 4-wheel drive and snow tires. . guests should be sure to have one of those and, ideally, both, especially when snow is expected, as Stephanie will tell you. We would be happy to return to this home away from home.
