Monthly Rentals in Lake Burley Griffin

The cabin was just what we needed for our two week stay in Canberra visiting family. The space was ideal for the two of us (elderly folk) and we used the separate bedroom for our clothes, storing suitcases, etc. Both the bed and the sofa were very comfortable and all the linen looked almost new. The kitchen area has an induction cooktop, separate oven, microwave, large fridge and washing machine. Excellent saucepans and frypans. However, as we use airBnB accommodation to cut travel costs by cooking our own food, a few extra items (coffee plunger, serving dishes, colander, tongs and breadknife, for example) would have been welcome. The area is suburban so there was background noise such as dogs and young children but no traffic noise. It is a short walk to the Watson shops (nice cafe, supermarket with fantastic deli, takeaway and chemist) and a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest light rail stop. Parking is outside on the road. Overall, a great place to stay. Congratulations, Wendy.

The apartment was very clean, cosy and inviting. It was also well equipped. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were a great spot to eat or for a drink. Close proximity to other restaurants, cinema and the lake. If you like exercise you can take a great walk up Black Mountain. Daniel was an attentive and considerate host. We really enjoyed our stay.

Miriam’s place felt more like home than an Airbnb! Beautiful apartment with absolutely everything and more. Miriam was such a thoughtful and generous hostess who went above and beyond by gifting us a well-stocked pantry and fridge as well as a lovely welcome hamper of goodies including a bottle of wine. The location was perfect for sight seeing and so close to the lake which was a cyclists’ paradise! Would highly recommend staying here and would happily do so again!

What a lovely stay! Surrounded by bush and some beautiful birdlife including Gang Gang Cockatoos, the premises were spotless and very cosy. Richard was a delightful host and easily contactable. We were surprised how everything was so easily accessible. A 3.7 km circuit walk up to the Redhill Nature reserve lookout, which showed just how close you were to Parliament House, could be accessed right at the front of the house. We would not hesitate to come back again. Many thanks Richard.
