Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Kruger Park

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would be happy to come back. The house is very lovingly decorated and the hosts are very accommodating. We had a variety of animal visitors all the time, which made the stay even more beautiful. A very special place - thank you! :)

Beautiful setting and surroundings. Lovely experience with the wildlife right at your front door. Kruger National Park only a short drive away. Very good value for money.

I have stayed in HWE many times and Corkwood Villa is definitely the best choice! Such a stunning private property. It was the cleanest air B&B I have ever checked into. A modern kitchen with brand new appliances. The bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms, with outdoor showers as well. The rooms are so cool at night with the fans and option of aircon and the house is decorated simply and beautifully. We will be back! We loved our stay!

This was our 3rd visit to Fairfarren. Always a great experience with lots of game visiting around the house. Despite the bush being lush and green the animals visited around the house many times a day. Large herd of 9 Nyala came every day. Very peaceful and quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay with Aurélie! The house was clean and beautiful and the host provided a very detailed welcome book about the house and the surrounding area. We did find the 52 pages to be overwhelming and sometimes it was hard to find the answers to our specific questions. We occasionally felt we were annoying the host by asking any questions and being referred to the book constantly. However, we did appreciate the attention to detail and she always answered our questions regardless. The pool was not the bright blue as seen in the reference photo but more of a green/clay - but after discussing with the host that the color is due to the inlay of the pool and being reassured that it was clean, we did enjoy it. We really loved the braai and being able to interact so closely with the local wildlife. Aurélie had great recommendations for activities and food in the area that we thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend this house to those traveling to Kruger!

This place is absolutely amazing. You can see from the photos, it is teeming with wildlife. Most of the animals are very friendly and you can feed them which was the highlight of my whole visit to the area. Being able to do this from the pool was also a total bonus. There is lots of space in the house and it is peaceful and private which I appreciated. Zelda was very flexible with me when I had to make some last minute changes and it made the whole experience so much easier. There are a couple nearby restaurants that are pretty good like the tin shack. The bush center also has several stores. Highly recommend!

We have just come back from spending nine unforgettable nights at Penzhorn Rest Cottage and it exceeded all of our expectations - even better than the photos! Zonja, our host, welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so accommodating to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Her hospitality has honestly blown us away! The highlight of our stay was the daily sight and sound of the river with nightly hippo visitors which added such a magical touch to our stay, immersing us in the beauty and awe of the African bush. Whether enjoying a coffee while reading by the river or relaxing in the ‘bosbad’ every moment felt really special to us! Zonja’s meticulous eye for detail was evident in the small touches around the cottage which made us feel right at home. This is a haven for nature lovers seeking a luxurious yet authentic escape. If you decide to book this listing you won’t be disappointed! We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to returning!

Great accommodation, very centrally located in Sabie but still peaceful. The place is very clean and well-equipped, but most importantly the hosts are wonderful. I would come back anytime!

Our stay at 23 Chestnut was absolutely lovely. The self-catering unit was private, peaceful, and very well kept—exactly what we needed during a busy wedding weekend. Despite our hectic schedule, we left feeling rested and refreshed. Our hosts were excellent with communication, always responding quickly and efficiently, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We had a really great time at Melani's place! It was such a cute little cottage in the forest. I loved that the 'living room' is outdoors, you really feel like you're relaxing in nature. We loved the braai area and firepit and the place had everything we needed. The location was great to be able to explore the Blyde dam and Hoedspruit. If you want to do the main hikes in the Blyde River Canyon just take note that they start at the top of the canyon about an hour and 15 minute drive away. Completely doable and its a breathtakingly beautiful drive but just be aware. Kampersrus is such a quaint little area, we really enjoyed our time here. I would highly recommend Melani's place and the area in general.

Great place to stay for one or a few nights before entering Kruger; you will be greeted by Warthogs or zebras in the morning walking up to your door, it’s in the middle of nature. The hosts are lovely and caring, I would definitely come again!

Absolutely loved my stay at Klaus and Ridwaan's cabin. Cozy and fully-equipped cabin nestled up on a hill with beautiful views. Easy access to multiple nearby gate entrances to the park. And Ridwaan & Klaus were delightful hosts and it was a pleasure to get to meet them, made the stay even better 😊 I'd love to come back someday. Highly recommend!!

Wow! What an absolutely amazing place and such wonderful hosts. The cabin is well equipped for a self catering stay, we had a braai and fire every evening. Frans and Louis were so genuinely kind and friendly, always going out of their way to help us. Being able to walk out of the property and be in nature, giraffes, zebra and impala just there and to be able to play in the river was amazing. My daughter (nearly 8 years old) didn't want to leave and wants to return!!!

Serene and beautiful escape from the city and town. Ideal for just relaxing with a good book and resetting. Lovely nature and birds all around. Walking trial with the river only a couple of meters walk from the cabin. The road is a bit rough and the road works to get to the destination is a bit of a pain. I am sure once the road is fixed it will be an easy and smooth drive though.

The place is very beautiful and intimate. From the living room, if you open the doors, you get one of the best views I've seen in Eswatini. The hostess has been attentive at all times, helping us set up the Braai and light the fireplace every night. We felt at home. There is a sense of peace here. The place is very modern and equipped with everything you need. Without a doubt, my partner and I will return.

It was a wonderful stay. Very private, away from the rush of the city but close enough to shop and visit restaurants. The gravel road is not ideal, but can be done with even a small hatchback.(Just go slowly in some sections) There is an abundance of things to see and do from this location.

Exceeded expectations. Everything worked! Was very difficult to leave and go on our adventures during the day because we just wanted to experience all the little touches and various ways to relax and dust off the city. Take a short walk to the fairy forest and have a chat with those who live there, if they’ll come out for you ;-) Be aware that the road down into the valley is flat and well-graded but there are a lot of loose rocks on the surface so smaller vehicles need to take it slow.
