We are a Sri Lankan family living in Australia - this was a well deserved holiday for us to visit friends and family. Our teenage daughter is a difficult customer to satisfy 😊 however she really enjoyed this stay as the apartment is in the centre of city providing easy access to great restaurants and shops while we can access the beach directly - make the location unparalleled to any place you can find at Hikka. We highly recommend this place to couples as well as families.

We had a great time at Thenu Villa! Everything was super clean and the hosts were responsive. Highly recommend coming here for a stay nearby Hikkaduwa and major attractions.

We had a wonderful time at Surf Lodge! The location is perfect, the onsite cafe has really delicious food and drinks, and the apartment was exactly what we hoped for! Chethana is a fantastic host, too! Really friendly, proactive and attentive to his guests. Will absolutely stay here again.

The villa matches the description exactly. The owner of the villa and his family are incredibly helpful and polite people. We are glad that we stopped with them. Our stay was completed with all amenities and comfort.

We had an incredible time at villa with our friends! The house was everything we could have hoped for and more. The pool overlooking the ocean was breathtaking, with easy access to the beach. The terrace was perfectly set up, equipped with everything we needed to relax and enjoy the views. The villa had three comfortable bedrooms, each well-equipped with essentials, especially air conditioning and mosquito repellent devices, which made our stay pleasant. The kitchen was spacious and convenient and we loved gathering around the large dining table for the last dinner at villa with friends. Special thanks to the concierge, who was always there to help us with any technical details around the house, from lighting to other amenities. We will definitely recommend this villa to other friends planning a stay in Hikkaduwa!

We stayed at Sunil's place from 5 to 15 December 2024. We arrived at 12:30am after a long travel period and Sunil was there to greet us with a smile and his trademark quote "No Problem" when we thanked him for staying up so late. Anything we needed he would arrange with a smile and "No Problem". He suggested great restaurants to dine in, helped us with a hire car, made an amazing breakfast for us every morning and shared a lot of information about Sri Lanka over a couple of drinks. He even made a traditional Sri Lankan meal for us one night, which I would recommend taking up his offer. We really appreciated his help with the villa and enjoyed his company. The other support staff were always helpful and courteous. A great experience all round.

This place is really amazing! The host is super attentive and helpful and made sure I got the best price for a taxi to the airport. In addition, I was able to check in early which was very nice. The place itself is very clean and has a small kitchen area if you want. There is hot water and a fan. The beach and the main road is like 2/3min away which is super convenient. Overall, this was one of my best stays in Sri Lanka, especially for the cheap price.

Our stay at Lighthouse Inn was fantastic! Located right in front of the iconic Galle Lighthouse, the views and historic charm were unbeatable. The room was clean, cozy, and perfect for relaxing after exploring the fort. The highlight was the host’s exceptional hospitality—they went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay, offering helpful local tips and making us feel truly welcome. With its prime location and warm service, Lighthouse Inn is a perfect choice for anyone visiting Galle Fort. Highly recommended!

Too good, looked scary to approach but totally worth it

We had a blissful two weeks at Villa Vador. It feels like you’re right in the jungle although still close enough to town, supermarkets, decent restaurants and the beach. Only a few minutes by tuktuk.  The sights and sounds of the jungle are mesmerising. You’ll spot mongoose, the endangered purple-face langur monkey, monitor lizards and palm squirrels just by sitting on the patio!  We cannot overstate how welcoming and helpful Sasun and his crew were. The food was delicious, plentiful and presented with love. They’d frequently bring out a small surprise like a fresh coconut or presented us with a Sri Lankan delicacy to try. The house was clean and obvious care has gone into the upkeep, things look fresh and not rundown. We wondered many times how they keep the place so clean whilst being surrounded by jungle.  The villa is perfectly appointed around the pool. Amazing apartment, just like in the photos – with a breathtaking view of the ocean. This place is exactly as advertised and even better in person! The panoramic ocean views from the apartment are absolutely stunning. The apartment was spotless when we arrived, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain it. Everything was fresh, organized, and well-kept, which made our stay even more comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked, and there are plenty of towels, toiletries, and other essentials. The attention to detail made it feel like home. Sam was incredibly responsive and welcoming from the moment we booked. They made sure we had all the information we needed, provided great local recommendations. Cons: The ocean in this area is not ideal for swimming – the waters can be a bit rough. However, a short tuk-tuk ride will take you to a much better beach with calmer waters.

My wife and I just spent two weeks here, and let me tell you, it was fantastic! Eva is an amazing host—seriously, she's a gem among hosts. The place is so quiet at night that we only hear the sound of the waves. The beach is perfect and wide, just made for sunbathing and beach strolls. The Wi-Fi is not lightning fast, but hey, it's probably faster than my coffee-making skills in the morning! Wooden house—it gets pretty hot during the day, but we were wandering around, so it did not matter that much. Plus, there are plenty of hammocks outside to lounge in. And I have to mention the monkeys! They’re jumping around like they own the place. Just observe, don’t expect them to be your buddies, they’re pretty shy. It’s very secure. The towels are clean, and the bedding is fresh, too. If anything comes up, Eva is nearby and ready to help. We had planned to stay in Ella, but it is so nice here that we simply spend all our nights here.

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

It is located 10 minutes by car from Galle Station. It costs about 400 by tuk-tuk and 900 by car. Super Hana is in front of the apartment. The house was well organized, and it was nice that the luggage and pool were clean. There was some inconvenience when entering because I couldn't check the unfortunate message. The owner contacted me via WeChat with the registered contact number, but I didn't hear from them because I didn't have WeChat.
