Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Koggala Lake

After travelling around Sri Lanka for 2 months we wanted somewhere peaceful where we could relax and this was the perfect place. This is by far the quietest place we have stayed and the entire view from our terrace was greenery. The room was very clean and the entire building and grounds were very well looked after. The kitchen was handy as there is only really one restaurant within walking distance. If you don't cook your own meals there were options on Uber eats for delivery and plenty of other places just a short tuk tuk or bus ride away. The staff were very friendly and we got to see monitor lizards, monkeys, plenty of birds, a frog and a small snake in the garden area. If you want somewhere quiet with nature on your doorstep but still with western style accommodation this place is ideal.

This apartment has beautiful views of Galle and really feels as if you are in a rainforest at times. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean tidy and the AC/fans are great. The only downside would be that there is a school next door and made some loud noises/singing around 7am

The apartment is great! It is very clean and well maintained. The amenities are awesome. The water balloons are also a great help and save the annoying towing of water. That the property has a washing machine and extremely helped during our stay. This is a big plus. The operator and neighbor are very helpful and friendly and easily assist with renting a scooter as well as other transfers. As described in the description, the property does not include air conditioning. Due to the fans, however, the warm nights are definitely tolerable. About two minutes from the property is a beach, but it is not really suitable for swimming. Here, however, you can watch turtles in the evening! The nearby restaurants are totally fine.

This accomodation matched the description and photos included. Good location as Galle fort was about a 5-10mins by tuk tuk and there is a supermarket within about 7 minutes walk. Kitchen included essentials and the place was clean and included aircon in the rooms, and hot water in the main bathroom. Overall great stay

Our stay at Pramod's place with my family was fantastic! He is truly an incredible host, always attentive to our needs and ready to help with anything we required. His kindness and generosity exceeded all expectations, from assisting with our late check-in due to a delayed flight to helping us organize various trips around the area. The apartment is fantastic, always clean and located in a convenient area for any interest. I highly recommend staying with him so an unique experience !

We stayed for 3 days at Amila and Hannah’s apartment (we had one with our own kitchen and outdoor seating which was very beautiful) it’s surrounded by jungle so you can see monkeys and other animals as well as listen to the sound of the jungle. The apartment was very clean and stylish and kept in a great condition. Amila and Hannah were both very helpful and also gave us some food tips 😊 if you needed help with transportation etc. they were also always there to help. Thank you for the stay!

Our recent experience at this beautiful Airbnb villa in Ahangama was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly welcome from Dushan and a luxurious, modern interior that instantly made us feel at home. The villa is spacious and elegantly decorated with attention to detail. The living and dining area creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect for enjoying meals and conversations together. But the absolute highlight was the jacuzzi on the terrace. After a long day of exploring and beach walking, it was heavenly to relax in the water. The location of the villa is also ideal. It’s close to the beach, local markets, and delicious restaurants. We loved exploring the area and discovering the local culture, but it was always nice to return to our cozy villa. Dushan was incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, we highly recommend this villa in Ahangama for anyone looking for a great stay!

I’ve been using Airbnb for years, and Ruwan is one of the best hosts I’ve had! He’s incredibly accommodating, and his warm family makes you feel right at home. We arrived two days early because our last place wasn’t what we expected, and from the moment we got to Ruwan's, we knew we had found a gem. We even extended our stay by another night! Ruwan has a tuk-tuk and offers fair prices for rides around the area. He can also arrange airport taxis for about the same cost as Uber, which was super convenient. The apartment was clean and perfect for our week-long stay. The internet connection was excellent, so I could easily join remote video calls. You get a true jungle experience with monkeys and birds, and the beach is just a short 5-10 minute walk away. Breakfast was amazing, featuring tasty Sri Lankan dishes and fresh fruits. On our last day, Ruwan took us to Turtle Beach for a great price. We highly recommend his place—he genuinely cares about making your stay memorable.

I had an amazing stay at Gayan’s house ! The house is very big, everything is clean, well maintained. I work online and the fiber works very well, it was the perfect. The bedrooms are comfortable with everything needed, the kitchen is well equipped. The neighbours come clean the house and the garden once a week, they are very helpful and nice !! I just recommend this place 100% if you want to enjoy the beautiful south coast of Sri Lanka !! You will feel like home, but in paradise 😍

We had a great stay at Bandula’s villa! Bandula was so helpful and friendly. The place was clean and perfectly located. We would 100% stay here again if we came back to Sri Lanka

We stayed at the Villa's for 7 nights - 2 families with total of 6 children at various ages. Lauren and Neal were kind enough to add an extra bed for us in one of the Villas and that exactly what we needed. The villas were exactly as described on Airbnb and the photos are very accurate and descriptive. The house and surroundings are very very clean and tidy and there are staff members who came to clean and organize the place on a daily basis. Check-in and Check-out is personal and friendly, and we knew right from the start that we can ask anything and get a thorough and accurate answer which helped us to settle down peacefully on the first days. We had a minor medical issue with one of the kids and the Villa manager (Danushka) was extremely helpful and sensitive and assisted us with all is heart to get the right treatment from a local medical center. this is not trivial and very much appreciated. Thank you :)

Good secure house. Double bedroom with air conditioning, hall, bathroom and private outdoor sitout. The hosts were very helpful and also gave us dinner one evening and even dropped us on the way to Colombo (as they were also travelling). The hosts also helped us in getting a bike rental. Kitchen utensils are limited. Expect noise from outside as this house is on the main road.

This was such a brilliant place to stay. The hosts were super friendly and the house was amazing. Would highly recommend staying here, it was awesome!

Kalini's very spacious house with its wonderful garden is very close to the seaside which is a bit off the beaten track. We, and especially the children, particularly enjoyed Pollihena beach, which is just a 8 min cycle ride from Kalini. The house is well furnished and equipped. The support from Kalini's father was particularly great: he was on hand to give us tips and contacts, brought us fruit, and was overall very helpful.

I stayed at Ananda's place for 5 weeks. The place is great! It was extremely clean upon check in. The place is spacious, exatly like the photos. The bed is very comfy with mosquito net. The wifi is strong and stable, perfect for remote working. They also have a small shop where you can get basic stuff such as water, cookies, soap, etc. Very convenient. The location is good. You can walk to the beach, 10-15 min. Ananda and his wife Malika are super host. Very sweet and atentive, they took care about everything so my stay was perfect. Malika is an excellent cook. She cooks absolutely delicious Sri Lankan food for a very reasonable price (way cheaper than any restaurant). It was without any doubt the best local food I tried in Sri Lanka. Definetly a must try! I recommend the place 100%! :)

I loved staying at Mango House. Chanuka and his mum and dad were always kind, helpful, and had a perfect balance of being there and respecting privacy. I enjoyed cooking with his mum and joining family activities and eating food shared with me by the family. The apartment was as shown in the pictures with a covered outside area to watch the birds, squirrals and monkeys. It's a short bus or tuktuk ride to the bus station and Galle fort. There are nearby shops and 20mins walk to a supermarket. I'd really recommend staying here and I hope to return next year.

Ranjit has a beautiful, charming home in the heart of Galle Port. We were so fortunate to be able to stay with him and his wife, they were both lovely and very accommodating, greeting us with tea and great conversation. Highly recommend staying with Ranjit, we are looking forward to coming back one day for a longer stay!

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

We had a pleasurable stay of 4 nights as a family. Mr.Nihal and Ms.Chandra are a wonderful and friendly host couple. No wonder they are Superhosts! They meticulously looked into arranging various amenities and equipments needed for our family to comfortably stay. They made it even more special by celebrating my sister's birthday which was on one of the days during our stay. We were touched by the decorations and the lovely rice cake! They were also kind to take her to a nearby Buddhist temple and explain its rich history and spiritual significance. Galle is a very beautiful city to explore, and this is a fine locality which is calm and yet easily accessible to the railway station, supermarkets, and other tourist spots. I would highly recommend a stay here. On the whole the experience here was 'home away from home'. Many thanks and best wishes to both these Superhosts.

The stay at Visith Prasan Villa was truly amazing! The villa was spacious, clean, and offered breathtaking sea views from the balcony. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and the peaceful garden provided a perfect space to relax. The location was ideal—close to the beach and local attractions, but still quiet and serene. The hosts were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and tranquil getaway in Ahangama!

Villa Jungle Paradise is fantastic , so is Sudath and his wife. Very helpful with everything. Edith was very with the foot massages to recover her ankle after her fall. The place is situated in the jungle with a nice swimming pool, clean, quiet, birds whistle, high in the trees monkeys now and then. Only 800 meters walking to the beach. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit. And also near two of our favorite restaurants : Jungle restaurant and Wijaya beach restaurant.
