Cabin vacation rentals in Kickapoo

We spent two nights here at the end of December. The cabin was clean, warm, peaceful. Great amenities, including the hot tube which is outdoors but in a screened in porch with direct access to the lower level (and great views!). A great getaway, we hope to be back!

We had such a wonderful time at this cabin for our annual birthday trip! The place was clean and cozy, slept everyone comfortably, and we loved hanging out in the hot tub! We are already talking about coming back 🤩

Cute and cozy little cabin . Had a lot of snow when we stayed, they even snowplowed for us. Also loved that there was chocolates and little hearts on the bed for Valentine’s Day.

We loved our stay at the Big R. The space was spotless upon arrival , and very organized as well. Beautiful location with serenity and great views.

Absolutely loved it. So serene and peaceful. Completely private and amazing location. Was spotless and clean. Nice warm and cozy feeling to it. I plan on taking my wife to the other cabins there to see them all and will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time at this house! It’s a very spacious and comfortable place, perfect for a getaway with friends or family. There are plenty of entertainment options – we were never bored. The house is clean, cozy, and exactly as described. There is plenty of space for everyone, both indoors and outdoors. The host is very friendly and always available. We will definitely come back again!

We had an amazing getaway nice quiet spot is snowed a good amount while we were there driveway was plowed next morning hot tub was great and the place was beautiful definitely will be coming again!!

The small cabin in the woods was adorable and cozy. The host was able to help us with some minor issues and even provided a free upgrade to a larger location.

My wife and I had a wonderful time here. We were looking for a quiet get away for a weekend and I’m so glad I found this spot. The place was clean and tidy. We made good use of the wood stove felt right at home!

Our party of five adults stayed at Andy's place for a birthday weekend and had a great time. The cabin and surroundings are as described ~ clean, unique, private, quiet. We kayaked and fished in the pond and ate our meals on the deck; we loved the outdoor spaces and appreciated having the kayaks and the fire pit available. We traveled to Elkader and Decorah during the days. The cabin was just the right place to come back to.

Woodside ranch is always such a wonderful experience. The cabins feel quaint and rustic being in the woods. A wonderful get a way!

The cabin is fairly large and has comfortable furniture. Very clean inside. No complaints but if you’re arriving after dark, you may want to request that he leave some lights on outside so you can figure out where the cabin is at and how to get inside.

We had an incredibly beautiful, peaceful stay at Carolene’s lovely home. The property is stunning with walking trails and many nearby Amish shops that are within walking distance. The cabin is so cozy and we felt right at home. Most of our weekend was spent reading on the porch and in the grass. Carolene even brought us a special treat to welcome us. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Our stay was fantastic! Gorgeous property, close to town but far enough to feel like you’ve “gotten away”… great communication, instructions, etc. We hope to come back again next year!

Great location to spend time with friends and family. Host was very friendly and responsive, clear instructions . Clean Bedrooms with sufficient linens. Kitchen had enough utensils and cooking items for larger groups , Felt some upgrade to kitchen might be required. Definitely this is a nice place to stay .

This is a lovely property that exceeded our expectations. It’s the kind of place you need to get away from it all and reconnect with nature. I’ve already recommended the cabin for getaways to my friends even though I want it to be my secret getaway. We will be back and for a longer stay!

Being on top of the world so to speak, the location is wonderful and beautiful, beautiful, looking down upon peaceful farmland, and hearing the Amish horses clip clop past. very dark at night and very quiet. hearing the coyotes howl; seeing the stars at night is lovely. there was wood provided for a fire every night Which was included. the only drawback is there is not really a kitchen so if you like eating out, there are not a lot of choices for that but bring ready-made food and use the barbecue grill as much as you can. They provide briquettes and have a very nice electric skillet and coffee maker , but it’s a little tricky figuring out where to set things to cook. If You don’t plan on cooking. Much it is a wonderful place to stay. Thanks Kathy

The location and cabin are both beautiful! We really enjoyed the view and the cabin overall. Mike was very easy to communicate with so that was nice as well. The beds and floors were quite squeaky and there was a very mild, strange smell around the house that we were told might be from the hard rain we had prior to coming and it's affect on the septic. It wasn't terrible but we did notice it. Otherwise it was great!

Nice spot! We all had a great time. Maybe just note in advance that you have to bring your own towels and soap. That caught us by surprise!

We had a wonderful time visiting family, while having our own space. The home was very clean and very accommodating with everything you may need including games ( which we enjoyed), washer/dryer, full equipped kitchen and extra towels! Close to town and public boat launch. Easy check in, vey responsive a beautiful view! Bring some OFF spray for night time- I think the mosquitoes are immune to the citronella candles. No fault to the owner just nature! Would not recommend more then 4 people to stay in home, due to one bathroom. Can get crowded easily. Thank you again for everything we enjoyed our stay very much! Beautiful place! Would definitely return!

this place served our needs very well. it was during WSU move-in time. it’s availability accommodated a longer stay for us. the info/directions were clear, QUICK, and concise. the “anytime after 4pm” let us set our own pace, eliminating the anxiety of arrival time. the entire cabin was clean and had a cozy vibe. 1st floor had great appliances, huge bathroom/shower and great tv streaming. AC units on the 1st and 3rd floor kept it very cool/comfortable. the 2nd floor seemed straight out of a storybook. great place to chill, read or relax. the 3rd floor had very comfy platforms beds, bedding and pillows. be prepared for the low ceiling. keeping our bags under the stairs made for easier access to our things. the gem of the cabin was “creekside”on either sides of the driveway. nature’s “white noise” left chaos behind. i would definitely recommend the simple quaint luxury of this cabin. it was the perfect to recharge. thank you Tanya for being a fantastic host. v.grateful -k & t
