Decorah High Point Magnolia Cabin was perfect quiet get away for our anniversary! Beautiful cabin, wonderful views and wildlife. Very relaxing!

We spent two nights here at the end of December. The cabin was clean, warm, peaceful. Great amenities, including the hot tube which is outdoors but in a screened in porch with direct access to the lower level (and great views!). A great getaway, we hope to be back!

We stayed here after Christmas with our 2 girls and mini schnauzer. We didn’t expect to have snow when we arrived but there was still quite a bit left for the kids to enjoy! Nice location tucked away in the trees. Older place with some updates. Even though there were neighbors you still feel like you’re all alone. Only about 5-10 minutes from town. The couch doubled as a futon for the girls to sleep on. They even had a small bed that could fold out for another kid if need be. And lots of extra bedding. Hot tub out back to soak in too. Small little cottage but definitely worth the price. Nothing fancy (which we like) but worked out great for our family of 4 while visiting Wisconsin dells which was about 35 minutes away.

Everything about this place was amazing. Absolutely beautiful cabin, inside and out. Lovely town as well. Lots to do! Cannot wait to come back!

The cabin was so cozy and comfortable! The setting was just beautiful and private and the hot tub was a wonderful perk! It was just perfect for a restful and fun girl's weekend!

This rustic cottage was just the weekend getaway we were looking for. We loved soaking in the hot tub and sitting by the fire. The kitchen was well-stocked and the bed was comfy. There were nice touches like bathrobes, space heaters, electric blankets to keep us warm in the winter. It was a bit of work to keep the fire/heat going, but there was plenty of wood and we liked the old-timey feeling it gave us. We'll definitely come back!

Beautiful little location!! Very quiet and just what we needed for New Year’s! The space was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. We loved how peaceful it felt. That said, there were a few small issues: the hot tub drain was a bit tricky to use. We also had some trouble figuring out the many light switches without labels, and the deadbolt on the front door didn’t work, though the doorknob lock was fine. Overall, these were minor things that didn’t take away from our stay. This is a lovely getaway, and we’d definitely recommend it to others or stay again in the future!

We loved Tracy and Neil's little house with all its beautiful details; antique cocktail glasses, herbal teas, library, gorgeous fiddle leaf fig plant, record player, beautiful big windows with sun pouring in, crisp white sheets and warm blankets, warm and cozy. The sheep were so sweet and friendly. Our daughter and us enjoyed visiting them every day. 30 minutes from Viroqua where we enjoyed a great lunch, good coffee, record shop and a wonderful co-op. We look forward to returning during the summer months. Neil and Tracy were very responsive and kind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Our family had a house fire two days before Christmas, we had a last minute close to home booking and the Christmas tree is what really sold me. The house was amazing, we checking in on Christmas Eve with minimal groceries, my partner said “ it’s a shame we didn’t bring stuff to make cookies for Santa” we had eggs, and there was enough sugar and peanut butter provided that we were able to make Christmas cookies with our toddlers and create amazing memories in the midst of what has otherwise been chaos. The rooms were amazing and had kid friendly everything for my littles. The view of the lake and the blanket of snow was truly magical and this will be a Christmas I will never forget. I highly recommend this retreat to anyone considering it

We had an incredibly beautiful, peaceful stay at Carolene’s lovely home. The property is stunning with walking trails and many nearby Amish shops that are within walking distance. The cabin is so cozy and we felt right at home. Most of our weekend was spent reading on the porch and in the grass. Carolene even brought us a special treat to welcome us. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

What a gem this cabin is! My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary, and it was the perfect, peaceful, private, safe and cozy place we wanted. Truly a slice of Heaven! We will definitely be bringing our kids back next time. Perfect place for a romantic getaway, to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world; and also would be great for the whole family! The Host was wonderful too, she clearly cares very much about her guests! Thank you for sharing this wonderful cabin with us! We’ll surely be back!

This is a lovely property that exceeded our expectations. It’s the kind of place you need to get away from it all and reconnect with nature. I’ve already recommended the cabin for getaways to my friends even though I want it to be my secret getaway. We will be back and for a longer stay!

The location and cabin are both beautiful! We really enjoyed the view and the cabin overall. Mike was very easy to communicate with so that was nice as well. The beds and floors were quite squeaky and there was a very mild, strange smell around the house that we were told might be from the hard rain we had prior to coming and it's affect on the septic. It wasn't terrible but we did notice it. Otherwise it was great!

Nice spot! We all had a great time. Maybe just note in advance that you have to bring your own towels and soap. That caught us by surprise!

We had a wonderful time visiting family, while having our own space. The home was very clean and very accommodating with everything you may need including games ( which we enjoyed), washer/dryer, full equipped kitchen and extra towels! Close to town and public boat launch. Easy check in, vey responsive a beautiful view! Bring some OFF spray for night time- I think the mosquitoes are immune to the citronella candles. No fault to the owner just nature! Would not recommend more then 4 people to stay in home, due to one bathroom. Can get crowded easily. Thank you again for everything we enjoyed our stay very much! Beautiful place! Would definitely return!
