A self contained cottage. 1 minute walk from a long, white sand popular surf beach and 2 minutes to a beautiful tidal estuary. The cottage is behind my house in a semi tropical lush garden. Pataua is a perfect place for walking, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking or just relaxing. The garden is fenced so safe for babies and children or a small dog. My small dogs Ody and Tom share the garden. They are full of life but super friendly and gentle.

From A to Z just amazing. Starting from the heartfelt welcome by Jane, continued by the stunning views and last but not least the private way to the beach. Also the apartment had all you need including an umbrella for the beach, a BBQ and a hammock for the porch. We can highly recommend!

Blair& Josh’s place is right across the harbor from the sand dunes. It’s a perfect place for 2 people. Queen bed was super comfortable! Plenty of hot water and the shower was nice. It’s a great location to explore the Hokianga harbor region as well as the Waipoua forest. We had a great stay!

We stayed in Michael's Cabin for 3 nights, unfortunately perfectly in time for an orange weather warning. We weren't able to do as much as we had hoped, but we can confirm the cabin is very sturdy and does not budge in even the strongest gales 😋 The cabin has everything you need and there is an outside cabin for bathroom and toilet. It's directly at the beach and the views from the cabin are really beautiful. Mike and Mark were great hosts and very generous. And if course Buddy the dog was a highlight of our stay.

We had such a wonderful stay at Victoria’s place! The scenery and views were absolutely stunning, making for the perfect peaceful getaway. The interior of the home was lovely and made us feel right at home. One of our favorite parts was the cows—we absolutely loved it! Victoria was a fantastic host, providing clear and easy-to-follow directions, which made our arrival seamless. The location was also great, with easy access to nearby towns for exploring. We highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future!

Comms were fantastic considering we travelled from a far right into the eye of a tropical cyclone that was happening in the Far North at the time, so Savannah updated us throughout our travel to ensure what to expect on our journey/arrival. Our stay was amazing! It was nice to be in a space well cared for. It had everything we needed and so spacious. Loved the aesthetics of the place being great for social media content lol - right down to the cutlery, pots, pans, utensils. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing accommodation in the area.
