Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Kemijärvi

This trip to Lapland had been planned for months staying at Kosti’s home made it really special. The studio apartment was ideal for my Mum and I and my two sons. It’s only a short taxi ride from the airport and to Santa’s village, the supermarket is within walking distance. Kosti gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and couldn’t have been more helpful. He made a fire for us and after the journey it was lovely to relax in the pool area. The children loved playing in the snow and sledging down the slope onto the frozen lake. After a long day it was great to unwind in the sauna. Before we went to bed Mum and I would go down to the lake to look at the Northern lights it was magical. Thank you Kosti for making our trip so wonderful

Just got back from the most perfect stay. I would highly recommend this house to anyone thinking of staying in Rovaneimi. The house really exceeded our expectations. It was well equipped with everything that you need, they really have thought of everything. The place was very clean and tidy and we were made to feel at home. It is extremely cosy. The host had left sledges outside so the kids spent hours on the small bank outside the house, it kept them very occupied. We couldn’t wait to get back to the house after our long busy days out knowing we could relax in the cosy lounge in front of the fire. We wish we had stayed longer. Overall, the most amazing place we could have wished for. Thank you so much for being such a great host.

Jukka & Heidi were wonderful hosts. We flew from Australia and they were kind enough to buy us basic groceries so we could have a cup of tea and a sandwich on arrival. The house was everything we wanted, everything was in great working order and clean. We went in December and the house had a magical Christmas feel to it that we all loved. The spa and sauna were simply magical. Sitting in 38deg water whilst it’s snowing….amazing. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants something a little bit out of town and quiet. It was easy to get taxis into town and whilst expensive (everything is in Finland ) they were punctual. Probably the nicest place I have stayed in with Air BnB.

This place is a true gem. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids ages 11, 10 and 7. We all absolutely loved it. The location is private and beautiful, set on a lake. Communication with Kari was flawless. When we arrived the cottage was warm and inviting, it matched the description and photos and we couldn't believe how well fitted out it was, he thought of everything. It was spotlessy clean and cosy. The kids had a great time playing in the yard, by the lake, and on the sleds. There is a beautiful sauna off the bathroom. We enjoyed roasted marshmallows and hot chocolate by the fire pit. Location is remote and picturesque and feels homely and safe. Would definitely need a car to access it, it's so worth it, being so quiet yet less than 15 mins to Rovaniemi and all attractions. Would highly recommend to everybody

Fantastic stay at Pink Fox. First time in Lapland and this house is an absolute gem! Close to all the local attractions and town but far enough out to feel secluded! Eliise was a fantastic host who was very helpful in the lead up to our trip and whilst we were there. Recommend Pink Fox and would love to return!

Absolutely incredible stay! I stayed for 5 days with 5 people. Beautiful, cosy, decorated with a Christmas tree and lights, and a huge TV for Christmas movies! Very nice hot tub and sauna, and good water pressure in the shower. The location was perfect, right between Rovaniemi city centre and Santa village - about 15 minutes taxi to each. It was easy to get an Uber (and also food delivery through Wolt). But still remote and extremely quiet. We saw the aurora borealis on two nights from the hot tub! Mikko (the host) made sure to let us know when to look outside to see them. He also gave us the number of one of his aurora hunting friends who took us out one night where we saw the best display we’ll ever see. I can’t recommend this place enough. It made our Christmas unforgettable :)

Piia's house was fantastic. it was the perfect base for our large group holiday - there were 10 of us. lots of room for everyone both living and sleeping accommodation. the house was lovely and warm after being out in the cold weather. everyone loved the sauna to relax in after our different activities.

Our stay at the cottage in Ruka was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene surroundings and the cozy atmosphere of the cottage. Nestled amidst snowy forests, the location is ideal for those seeking both tranquility and adventure. The cottage itself was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities while maintaining a charming rustic feel. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and the sauna was a true highlight—nothing beats unwinding there after a cold day outdoors. The proximity to Ruka’s ski slopes and hiking trails was incredibly convenient, yet the cottage felt wonderfully private. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape in a stunning location with top-notch comfort, this Ruka cottage is the place to be! Highly recommended!

Laura very accommodating, i need late check out around 2pm but she give until 2.50pm with add on extra charge. Washing machine easy to use. Clothes easily dry also. Other than that, she also provided some games and book also colouring for my daughters. Only the wifi lil bit slow. Not easy to watch netflix . Otherwise worth pay for this place.

Gorgeous spacious apartment in a great location in the centre of Rovaniemi, everything within walking distance, shops, restaurants, shopping malls. Apartment was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed. Hosts were brilliant with great communication. Delighted with everything,. You won’t regret booking this apartment.

Miia’s place is beautiful, impeccably clean, and perfectly located. She made sure we had everything we needed for a magnificent holiday. The property is very quiet, with breathtaking surroundings, and conveniently close to the ski slope, the visitor center where you can book experiences, and some excellent restaurants. It’s about a 15-minute drive to two supermarkets where you can find everything you need. We had an amazing holiday with our 10-month-old and 4-year-old and would return anytime!

Eija is truly a fantastic host! From start to finish, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay went smoothly. We had the best time at her place, and our trip wouldn’t have been the nearly same without all her help and recommendations.

Super host. Highly recommended to stay from their super ❤️ warm home given the -28 degrees of the outside. You can sleep well even in 4 thanks to the room with two single beds and the very comfortable sofa bed

We had a great time at this cottage. It's spacious enough for two families. The floor is good for the kids. The location is amazing and very soothing! There are plenty of walks to do on foot! Sledding is available to the delight of the children! Mari is very kind and above all very responsive and accommodating! We would 100% recommend this beautiful place!

WOW!!!!!!!!! I have never been anywhere so beautiful..The most amazing home in the most beautiful surroundings..Me and my family had the time of our lives here..Immaculately clean..It had everything we needed and more..And the photos don’t do it justice..Terhi and her daughter who welcomed me in the early hours of the morning, showed me round and told me everything I needed to know which was so kind with it being so late.. I could not recommend this place more..We have stayed in some beautiful locations and houses but this tops them all!! Our highlights were the lake views, the sauna and playing in the snow in the woods..absolutely magical.. Thank you so much for having us xx

What a special place on earth. in the woods, on a frozen lake..all the space just for ourselves. The villa has all the comforts. Fireplace with supply of wood. So cozy. We loved it and will recommend it to everyone within our circle of acquaintances!

The cabin is a wonder, if you are looking for privacy is your ideal choice, the host greeted us with a sparkling wine and some delicious chocolates, we were fortunate to see Northern Lights from the entrance of the house.

The place is very clean in calm area and privacy, good and lovely view, everything is available in the cottage , hot shower, sauna, jackuuzi, inside temperature, kitchen was well equipped. Internet was very good. Host and her family were very helpful , for pick up always on time. And they take you for shopping. We were very happy and i will go again and again with friends.
