Waterfront vacation rentals in Kawakawa

This beautifully decorated home is spacious enough for six adults, one child and two toddlers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the kitchen is fully equipped, dining table is big enought to accomodate all of us and the bedrooms are spacious. Separate towels were provided for the beach. Toys, games and reading materials provided makes it homely. The host is responsive and very accomodating. Check in was a breeze.

Paul and Barbara's home was beautiful with an amazing beachfront location. The house was clean and communication was excellent. Would definitely stay again…!!

One of the things that’s hard about finding a place in a new place is the sense of relative distances. We were further outside of town than we had expected, but man was it worth it. The views down to the bay were spectacular. And being from the northern hemisphere, the night sky is of particular interest. We were lucky with high pressure, so being just far enough outside of town gave us breathtaking star gazing. Jo was so helpful in making suggestions for places to see, quickly able to help us prioritize based on the way we roll, a good mix of walking and driving, a wonderful resource and real hospitality pro. Already looking forward to our next visit.

We couldn’t believe that the apartment was all ours! We didn’t need all the room. There was enough kitchen stuff to easily cook dinner and our view was better than any restaurant in town. Very comfortable king bed and our car was in a garage.

Couldn’t have been happier with our 2 night stay! Everything was as described and host Dave was very friendly and approachable. The location is stunning - with private beach access but at the same time only a short journey from the beautiful town of Russell. I will be recommending this place to all our friends in the U.k and NZ.

Gorgeous views on the deck at sunset, sunrise, and even night time star gazing! Laura's property was a great home base for me while exploring Cape Reinga, Doubtless Bay, and surrounding area - but it'd also be awesome for anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation

We stayed for our honeymoon with our 2 year and 3 year old boys. What a novelty for them being able to watch boats, the ferry and fish off the deck, while we were able to relax. Beautiful spot, we will be back.

The home was cozy with the fireplace and tasteful upgrades. It felt like a friends home instead of a rental. The railroad path is accessed by a steep trail from the yard. The driveway is steep but easy to turn around with an average sized minivan. What a lovely area to explore and this home is a great base to come back and relax and curl up to watch a good movie from the cozy sofa.

Had a lovely weekend away with the family in this beautiful modern home with gorgeous outlook. Has everything you need and is well set out, peaceful and relaxing. Great location in Mangawhai. Hosts very thoughtful and responded promptly to our messages, thanks. We were pleasantly surprised by a bottle of red and card on arrival, wishing my husband a happy birthday :) I left something behind and they were quick to let me know and offer to get it back to me. Our whānau loved our stay and Chloe and Ben’s place, we had a family dinner and the large dining table and outdoor area was perfect. The rooms are large and the extra sleep out with the bunks was perfect for the kids, thank you so much for allowing our whānau to make some lifelong memories!

Very quiet and private, view was amazing, house was clean, everything as described and instructions were clear. also the kitchen was well equipped. Will definitely come back in the near future. thanks again.

We enjoyed our stay, it was fit for purpose, a place that was calm and we all felt relaxed and well rested. The views, the sunsets and sunrises were outstanding. This is not a complaint, but the outdoor room did not have power. We were ok with that as there was enough light from the lighting on the deck. Pleas check it out as others may complain. I appreciate that you were more than happy to come to the house, but we did not feel it was necessary. I loved the beautiful flowers, the plants, the tui’s singing and it is quite possible we may have heard a Kiwi. The kitchen was well equipped, it had everything we needed, appreciated the first aid box too. Best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Thank you.

If you get the chance to book this spot, I highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed. Everything is pretty straight forward, check in was simple and Mark communicates well which makes everything x10 better.

A lovely home with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Come for the home stay for the view! A spectacular vista, from the Whiria Pa, across the harbour to the golden sand dunes. Also, a great selection of books to while away the hours 🙂 We had the generous bonus of using the down stairs spa as there were no guests. perfect!

The Otehei apartment is just as listed - beautiful with luxurious & comfortable furnishings! The apartment is super clean. It’s one of those places that make it hard to leave and go about your daily activities, as it’s many windows and skylights create a bright & relaxing space. Very clear instructions for arrival & easy check-in.

Amazing place. Such incredible views over the sea. Met with the owner who gave us lots of recommendations including how to get to their own mermaid pool! Loved we were able to walk around the vineyard, visit the llamas, donkeys and pigs too! The pool was great and my little one loved swimming it. We were given some milk and their own wine to sample which was amazing. Would highly recommend this place. One of the best AirBnBs we have stayed.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

Loved our stay at Linda’s Airbnb. The window view towards the sea was absolutely stunning and we enjoyed using the hot tub and the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. The place was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Linda is a friendly and responsive host. It was a perfect weekend getaway for us, thank you Linda!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and peaceful apartment with us, we couldn’t be happier! The views from the deck were incredible, we saw the most amazing orange and pink sunrise and sunsets overlooking the Whangārei harbour nestled amongst native bush with tuī and birdsong. So close to many beautiful beach walks, bays & conveniently close to Whangārei. Lovely clean apartment with everything you need. Thanks again it was such a relaxing weekend away.
