I recently had the pleasure of staying at the most incredible beach bach, and I can't sing its praises enough! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene, private location. The bach itself was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything one could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The beach was just a short walk away, offering pristine sands and crystal-clear waters. Whether you're looking to unwind with a good book, take long beach walks, or have an adventure-filled getaway, this bach has it all. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every detail of my stay was perfect. I felt truly pampered and left completely refreshed. I can't recommend this beach bach highly enough – it's the perfect escape for anyone looking to experience the best of coastal living especially with little people as the space to explore was perfect 🌊🏡✨

My partner and I stayed 3 nights at Silv and Steve’s place and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle. The house was super tidy and it was apparent they spent a lot of time and effort making it an enjoyable place to stay. Waking up to the view each day was a highlight for us.

Jessica’s home was well stocked- kitchen looked out on a sunny patio- it was a short walk to the beach- it suited my mum aged 93 and my grand daughter aged 7- even had a cupboard stocked with games

We were a group of 5 staying at Donna’s place, including 2 children. The house is spacious and comfortable for families and Donna went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable by arranging a porta cot for our under 2 year old

Hosts were super lovely and accommodating. They live right across the driveway and the pool is technically in their front gate but we had complete access and privacy. Host were lovely and going out of their way to make our stay awesome I.e. getting the kayaks ready for us, late check out, local recommendations etc. Would 100% book again and considering it :).

Beautiful spot right on the beach. Great to have the sound of the ocean right into the house and bedrooms. Beach itself was perfect for our young family (ages 7+) - not to deep and waves just the right size for a bit of fun. The stars at night were phenomenal. Overall, if you want a spot on a beach, you can’t do any better for location. Inside, the kitchen has been fully updated and is well stocked for utensils (could use a no-stick fry pan). The living area is cozy, but ample and comfortable. Dining area and bedrooms all fine. The facilities consist of separate shower, toilet, and sink rooms (1 of each). The toilet is old and wobbly, but it worked fine for us. Like other places in NZ, supplies were rationed. They did give us some toilet paper, but not enough for our stay. They also provided some salt, pepper, and a small jar of sugar cubes. No other condiments. As can be seen in the listing, they don’t share wifi and there is no dryer. Altogether, though, no big surprises

Rebecca loved her stay there with her family. She was travelling for work and had an event to attend which made it super easy having this accommodation as it was 30 seconds to the event. She wants to return here next year when she has to attend the event again!! Thank you Kelly

Stunning location. It really does match the photos. Right on the harbour, with lovely sunsets and step out the door to the harbour. Enjoyed borrowing kayak to go for a paddle around the mangroves.

The ocean view was priceless and the lush surroundings with wild flowers picturesque. The property was beautifully oriented with a heated pool overlooking the turquoise ocean and beautiful harbours with boats speeding through to other surrounding islands.

Angela's place was exactly what we needed as our base for investigating the Paihia region - comfy and well equipped with absolutely everything we could need - and breakfast on the deck every morning with that incredible view of the sea and islands was one of my absolute favourite things of our stay. We'd definitely stay here again in the future!

David met us at check in, he was so helpful with local information, shortcut paths to the shops, restaurant & hotel & also information about the forest on our onward journey, which we appreciated. The studio has the most amazing views of the sea & sand dunes. It was so clean, the bed was so comfy and the shower was fabulous! I fully understand & respect Rebecca’s request for no shoes in the studio, but as the floor is not heated my feet were cold walking on the floors. I should have taken some slipper socks with me (know for next time!) We would definitely recommend this studio to other guests.

A lovely home with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Come for the home stay for the view! A spectacular vista, from the Whiria Pa, across the harbour to the golden sand dunes. Also, a great selection of books to while away the hours 🙂 We had the generous bonus of using the down stairs spa as there were no guests. perfect!

The Otehei apartment is just as listed - beautiful with luxurious & comfortable furnishings! The apartment is super clean. It’s one of those places that make it hard to leave and go about your daily activities, as it’s many windows and skylights create a bright & relaxing space. Very clear instructions for arrival & easy check-in.

Amazing place. Such incredible views over the sea. Met with the owner who gave us lots of recommendations including how to get to their own mermaid pool! Loved we were able to walk around the vineyard, visit the llamas, donkeys and pigs too! The pool was great and my little one loved swimming it. We were given some milk and their own wine to sample which was amazing. Would highly recommend this place. One of the best AirBnBs we have stayed.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

Loved our stay at Linda’s Airbnb. The window view towards the sea was absolutely stunning and we enjoyed using the hot tub and the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. The place was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Linda is a friendly and responsive host. It was a perfect weekend getaway for us, thank you Linda!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and peaceful apartment with us, we couldn’t be happier! The views from the deck were incredible, we saw the most amazing orange and pink sunrise and sunsets overlooking the Whangārei harbour nestled amongst native bush with tuī and birdsong. So close to many beautiful beach walks, bays & conveniently close to Whangārei. Lovely clean apartment with everything you need. Thanks again it was such a relaxing weekend away.

Had a great time staying at Louisa’s place! The place was beautifully decorated and had a gorgeous view out to the water. The place had everything we needed and Louisa was very responsive to any questions we had. She sent a beautiful welcome package with recommendations for things to do in the area and from it we found Salt Air Tours and ended up doing a scenic flight to Cape Reigna (highly recommend!) instead of driving. We also enjoyed the visits from Marlo, the friendly, floofy orange cat that came to the house in the evenings. I only have great things to say about our stay and highly recommend staying here when visiting Paihia!
