Cottage vacation rentals in Kauai County

This was our second stay in Belinda’s condo at Hanalei Bay Resort. The views are unbeatable and the condo has been nicely updated. It’s perfect for our family. We can’t wait to come back again!

First time visiting Kauai and it was a great experience. Really appreciative of all the proactive communications before the stay.. answered all of my questions before I had them. We were also excited by all of the beach gear that made a visit to the sand a simple and fun affair. Well done!

We had a relaxing and fun week at Bruce’s place. The home was tucked into a private glade with lots of birds and an occasional chicken. There were plenty of windows and screens in the cabin to let in sunlight and cool breezes, as well as an outdoor front deck (and grill) where we made several meals. We had coffee in the hot tub some mornings and took outdoor showers every day. It was conveniently located near gorgeous beaches and a river where we surfed on boogie boards, ate lunch and read over several days. It was also close to several very good restaurants and an amazing bakery. We rented bikes, hiked the challenging Na Pali Trail and took a Zodiac boat ride to see the mountains in Western Kauai. During the stay, Bruce was responsive and helpful to several questions we had. We also took advantage of his farm tour, which was fascinating and gave us a window into the world of organic farming. Aloha! Staying at Ellen’s Beach Place in Kapa‘a was like stepping into our own private slice of paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warm spirit of aloha, and the magic of Kaua‘i embraced us completely. 🌴✨ The location? ‘Ano‘ai ke aloha! (Absolutely amazing!) Just steps from the sparkling ocean, we woke up to the gentle sound of waves and enjoyed the most stunning sunrises right from the lanai. The hale (house) was immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and filled with everything we needed to feel at home. Ellen even left some local goodies to welcome us – such a thoughtful touch! 🌺🍍 Mahalo nui loa, Ellen, for sharing your incredible hale and your warm aloha with us! We will absolutely be back to your beautiful beach haven. If you’re considering booking this spot, don’t hesitate – it’s truly a kauhale (home) that captures the heart of Kaua‘i.

We loved our stay at Miguel's place -- the location is perfect, and we felt very comfortable throughout our visit. The cottage is perfect for 2 people and is a very peaceful retreat. We didn't cook at the cottage but the kitchen seemed pretty well-stocked. We would love to stay there again!

Perfect setup for a comfortable stay. The Kaua’i essentials were there - beach chairs and beach towels!!! Safe, secure and quiet neighborhood. The location allowed us to navigate everywhere easily. Thanks for the stay! Mahalo🌺

Private area, great place to stay. We were there are New Years and there were a ton of fire works to hear, would need to drive or walk around the neighborhood to see clearly since the place is on the lower end of the hill/neighborhood, but super chill place. Definitely quiet area, so not a place of you’re looking to be social. Enjoyed the star gazing and pigs/chicken neighbors as well. 🌺

This place was exactly as described, tucked in the back of a planned community. Very quiet and peaceful. Kitchen was feasible to cook your own meals. Good shower, ease of parking.

Cozy cottage in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to a nice beach that was great for walking and sunset viewing. Great location for exploring Waimea Canyon and South / West shore. Cottage had ample space for family of 4 - lanais on 3 sides with glass doors for light and fresh air. Host was welcoming, responsive and provided great local recommendations for activities and dining.

We felt very comfortable staying at Ian and Melissa’s house for six nights. The area was very quiet and peaceful sitting on the deck. The amenities were very thoughtful and helpful! One of the reasons we chose this place was the availability of beach equipment, bikes, etc. We really appreciated having beach chairs, coolers, snorkels, and more to use and not have to worry about renting anything. The house was very clean and the king bed was comfortable. We would stay here again!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We normally stay down at Poipu, but wanted to change things up a bit this year. Ahlea’s condo is so nicely appointed. We spent so much of our time just sitting outside, reading, and relaxing. We never needed to use the air conditioner, and it was so perfect listening to the waves all night. It’s an easy walk to several great restaurants Would not hesitate to book again!

Really enjoyed the beach and area. The accommodations were great for three of us, plenty of space.

Stayed here with a group of four adults. The house was perfect for our needs. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and the beach. Spent lot of time hanging out on the balcony. The washer and dryer was a great added bonus as well.

This place is perfect for exploring the North Shore! We loved the refreshing plunge pool after a day at the beach!

What a wonderful place to be! This was the perfect home base for our family, and the view from the lanai was gorgeous—exactly as pictured. We loved the pace of the north side of the island. Being out near the end of the road in a more rural setting was exactly the right place for us, between the hiking, scenic beaches, and quaintness of the Hanalei township. I was worried it would be tight for the five of us, but it was totally fine and worked out well—we didn’t feel like we were encroaching on each other at all. There were plenty of towels and equipment available for day trips, and we had a lovely time.

As advertised. Charming cottage in the perfect location in Poipu. Small but clean and airy. All sorts of supplies, spices, kitchen and beach gadgets. Furnishings not expensive but Linens, sheets and bedding were very nice. The landscaping and flowers were over the top. Owner communicates well and there were no problems

We had a great stay here and the value for the price was well worth it! Great being able to walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood and a short drive to Hanalei for anything you want to do in town. They had everything you’d need for beach going - chairs, towels, coolers, etc. Thanks!
