An amazing location to be able to explore the bay of islands while still having a cosy and beautiful place to come home to and enjoy a cheese platter and wine in the afternoon. Shelley was an amazing host who strived to ensure we had a wonderful trip and got the most out of our stay. Would definitely visit again if I am in the area!!

We had arrived in Paihia a few hours earlier and Michaela and Dan got the place ready 2 hours earlier. The place was easy to find with instructions for the driveway and entrance to the house. There was extra towels, blankets, games, kitchen was more than the basics which helped having a larger group, there was even a beach basket with towels and sunscreens. The host really did have guests needs in mind when setting up this place. Also, the views from the deck onto the beautiful forest backdrop were breathtaking. I would highly suggest this home for anyone looking to stay in the area.

We were very happy with our stay. Location close to Paihia shops and restaurants. The flat was well appointed including 'extra' items to make our stay more enjoyable. Overall very comfortable 🤗

Peter and Jaquie were amazing hosts. They went above and beyond in many ways for us. So helpful and super kind. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and private place, close to town and shops.

Wendy’s Apartment was perfectly located in the middle of Paihia, which is a beautiful place! We had a great view of the NYE25 Fireworks from the beach opposite. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with a lovely terrace to dine on. Beds were very comfy. Aircon in all rooms a bonus! Communication with Wendy was excellent and self check-in was easy. Lots of great restaurants and close supermarkets. We had delicious meals at Glasshouse and Zane’s. We thoroughly enjoyed our Island Getaway Hole in the Rock 4.5hrs cruise. For day trips, we drove north to 90 mile beach and west to a Kauri forest. Bay of islands is a stunning place to visit and we highly recommend it!

Great location, just out of town in a semi-rural location. Close enough to Whangarei if you wish to visit the town, bit far enough away to be nice and quiet. A superb place for a single or couple to stay for a couple of days. Plan on returning on my next trip up north

The best location you’ll find in Russell. Private, peaceful and amazing views. The drive up the gravel road is so worth it once you arrive at the house! 10 mins down to Russell and to the ferry. We heard kiwis every evening. The birds sang to us all day, every day. Thank you Sue and Paul for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will be back.

Magical stay in Mahinepua. Peter was responsive and accomodating to all our requests. Wonderful beaches nearby, friendly local families, great fishing, diving and snorkeling. We loved staying here so much that we booked it again. My highlights were the views, outdoor shower and having a choice of outdoor seating to accomodate for sunrises and sunsets. Architectural well thought out design of home that encapsulates the environment perfectly.

Jennifer is a fabulous host. She made us feel very welcome and is a great source of local knowledge. The cottage is spotless and a brilliant base to explore the far north. Thank you Jenny.

This house was fantastic for a holiday in Coopers Beach. Beautiful views, nice spaces in the house, great amenities. We had a wonderful stay and would come back!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful house with a stunning sea view. It was absolutely perfect for our family getaway. The home is equipped with modern amenities, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The highlight was the spacious terrace with a breathtaking view, where we enjoyed BBQ evenings together. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay. We hope to return in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at Douglas's place. It is very close to the beach, has great views, and it's very clean and comfortable. If anything, the description and photos on Airbnb don't do it justice! It's really a perfect place for a holiday. Douglas (and his brother William) is an amazing host who took us on a successful kiwi spotting walk in our first night! Top class hospitality in a beautiful part of the world.

A lovely home with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Come for the home stay for the view! A spectacular vista, from the Whiria Pa, across the harbour to the golden sand dunes. Also, a great selection of books to while away the hours 🙂 We had the generous bonus of using the down stairs spa as there were no guests. perfect!

Lovely balcony over looking marina. Marina is quiet and the backdrop views are great. The only negative is the toilet is downstairs and for an old bloke trips down from the lovely studio bedroom were problematic 😀. Other than that highly recommend the place

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM
