We loved our stay at The Roost. The area was beautiful and peaceful, and it was so clean and cozy. We enjoyed all the little extra touches throughout, as well as the walking paths and outdoor space. We would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area again.

Lasada Lodge did not disappoint. The only place you will find better service is at your mother or grandmother’s house. They even offered to help carry luggage in. The premises were well maintained. My group was discussing opportunities to return because it was peaceful even with the shooting range close by. You are treated like friends or family by the host.

Our stay was wonderful. Took me back to my youth and growing up in a rural area. Very peaceful and quiet.

I loved the barn. There was a groundskeeper there that was super nice and helpful. Although I had to check in late from being on the road, he greeted me just the same. The place was pretty clean and tidy. Overall, very accommodating, and if I am every in the area, I would love to stay again.

Ellen was a great host and communication was great! The Barn was everything she described in listing! We will definitely be back our next time in the area!

We are trying to come up with reasons to come back to KC so we can stay here! They did a phenomenal job with redoing the barn. We have stayed in many different properties and this has been our favorite! I hate to give such a great review because I don’t want it to be booked next time we want to come up!!! We can’t wait to be here again! Private and cozy, a great gathering place for us. Nia was a great host! Thank you!!

We absolutely love the beauty and peacefulness this cabin brings. The photos do not do it justice. We made a poor choice to try to wait out the snow storm. Radonna's husband not only cleared a path he had to pull us out too. Then made sure we made it all the way to the highway. We are so grateful for their kindness and look forward to booking again when the weather is nicer. We enjoyed playing the games as a family. Our kids experienced a record player for the first time. Thanks for a great stay and then some!!

Our stay at Sheila’s restored barn was amazing. Sheila felt like family, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She explained the amenities—including the heating, kitchen, and outdoor fire pit—and was always available for questions. We also loved visiting with her, and her friendly dog will quickly become your best friend! The property is peaceful and stunning, surrounded by open fields and quiet beauty. The fire pit in the backyard was the perfect place to unwind under the stars. Inside, the barn is thoughtfully designed, and the cozy TV room with leather furniture made for a perfect movie night. The kitchen was fully equipped and made meal prep a breeze. And the breakfast burritos Sheila prepared? Easily the best we’ve ever had! Her attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made this getaway special. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat not far from town, this is the perfect spot. Thank you, Sheila! We can’t wait to come back!

The place is a great place to stay. it is nice and quiet out in the country, yet close enough to town for shopping and eating out. Jennifer is a great host and responds very quickly to any concern you may have. I highly recommend this place and I will stay here every chance I get when in the area.
