Monthly Rentals in Kaihoka Lakes

Wish we had booked for longer! Beautiful, peaceful, cosy and comfortable, what an amazing place to get back to the basics with the family. We all had a great sleep and left feeling rested, ready for the next of lifes adventures. What an experience to see the bioluminescence play in the water on a clear night, from Tui playing in the day to hearing and luckily seeing a kiwi in the wild (if you call SH6 that) with room enough for everyone, we had fun in the kayaks on the estuary, wandered the inlet at sunset.. sure, it took a few hours adjusting (to no wifi) I think if it was on, we wouldnt have enjoyed ourselves as much (or possibly even left the house). We will be back, sooner than later, thanks again for having us and we look forward go our next break away at Kotuku to explore around gorgeous golden bay.

No words, just one advice... book it! We give a score of 11/10! The accommodation is a unique piece of art. Lovely family awaiting us. Once in a lifetime. One of the highlights of our journey in New Zealand. Have a look at Hamisches workshop where you will see his fabulous lighting made by himself.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mary's beautiful house. It is located perfectly for exploring the Northwest corner of the South Island. The grounds are peaceful and tranquil with beautiful trees and gardens and with the company of lovely peacocks. The house is incredibly spacious and comfortable, with a superb kitchen furnished with every amenity one might need. Mary was also a fantastic host: she was very proactive, friendly and responsive in all her communications with us, giving us very clear and helpful information about the property and suggestions for local restaurants and activities, and being very welcoming and accommodating.

Lovely cottage across the street from the beach and just 300m from The Old School pub. Plenty of room and well equipped, very tidy. Comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Highly recommended
