Hotel vacation rentals in Kagoshima

I was a solo traveller and I stayed on a room in the second floor. The apartment felt spacious and I could see that it was meant for 7 people. Still, I felt at home. I love the interior design of the room, bits of bare concrete on the ceiling, minimalism and industrial design. The amenities were good. I spent a lot of time on the dining table lit up by the ambient lighting. My only issue was that the room was close to a railroad crossing junction. Every now and then there would be a sound of bells to signal an approaching train. It did not bother me as I love Japanese trains. I was able to sleep and rest well.

We stayed at this beautiful apartment for six weeks. It is spacious and very stylishly furnished. We loved the modern bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. We brought two mountain bikes. The host has provided an optimal space for the bags and the bikes. Thank you very much for that. The host is very personable, straightforward and helpful. Thanks to modern apps, the language barrier was no problem.

If you want the old Ryokan experience, this is where you need to stay !! The rooms are very traditional, as well as shared spaces and equipments. You really feel like you are in the past, in a wholesome and beautiful way. M. Nakazono is so kind and helpful, even if my Japanese was bad. And this, all by staying close to shops, restaurants, Kombini & supermarkets, public transports, Kagoshima train station, and speedboat / ferry terminals for the islands around Kagoshima. To resume briefly: you have the peace of a traditional hostel, with the comfort of modern Life in Japan. Book it, you will love it 🙏

The room is stylish, cozy and clean—a nice place to return to, rest and relax after a day of exploring Kagoshima. The location is convenient because it’s near the Tenmonkan tram stop (although I personally think a lot of the city’s highlights are better explored on foot) and it’s surrounded by amenities you might need any time. I had such a lovely time in Kagoshima that I even extended my stay for a couple of days. Thank you so much, Yukiko, for being a gracious host.
