Audrey and her husband were awesome hosts! I was not sure how long we needed to stay and when our reservation ran out we were able to stay without any interuption until we were able to close on our home. They allowed us to park our Uhaul on site (a big deal!) which saved us time trying to find storage. The day after we arrived, they came over to meet us and tell us about the area. The cottage was clean, equipped and safe. The antique furnishings in the cottage are fabulous...i cant imagine the stories they have to tell! The wildlife is abundant along with the farm life; cattle, geese, chickens, cats, fish, etc. You'll never have a dull moment at the Ranch Hand Cottage! We were blessed to have 2 new calfs born while we were there. If you want to get out of the city or share the country with your city friends, this is THE place! Poplarville is such a cute town, like a step back in time. I will be recommending Audrey and her cottage to anyone that wants to stay in the area.

Perfect for our family with 3 busy boys who love to explore! Should have stayed longer && our dog was in heaven the entire stay. My kids fell in love with the recently hatched birds in a nest on the porch. Everything was phenomenal. We will be back 💯

This beautiful rustic cabin on a horse farm has all the modern amenities and a super comfortable king bed. It is my top BNB rental of all time. I loved rocking on the covered front and back porches, enjoying the peaceful serenity surrounded by nature. I also made some new friends with Copper, Cisco, Jack, and Jeffery. Though it’s not far from home, the sounds of crickets and bullfrogs made it feel like I’d stepped into another world. It was the perfect little escape. The cabin was spotless—truly one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the craftsmanship of the cabin itself was so fun to admire. There’s a lot of heart in this place, and you can feel it. One of the most special moments for me was watching my son’s black lab enjoy the creek. I lost my son in 2020, and seeing her so happy brought a little light to my heart. Everything was thoughtfully prepared—clear instructions, no need to reach out for anything. Laura had it all taken care of. I’m already looking forward to coming back for another soul-soothing getaway close to home.

The place accommodated a group of about 15 people and the house cabin was fun and exactly as described. The property, lakes, and space was exactly what our group was looking, and our host Russell was incredibly helpful and friendly. We had an amazing time here, and it was worth the money we spent. Highly recommend for a family get away or a large group. Thanks, Russell.

Emily was great to work with!! We loved the rustic house and setting! Emily had decorated everything so nicely for Christmas, and the house had such a warm and cozy look and feel! We mixed cookies and baked cakes, made meals, visited with our family, relaxed and played games together, pulled out Emily’s throws for everyone and took naps! And a treasured bonus—we took a great family Christmas photo in the front yard with the nice woodsy background. Due to some really bad weather, we had a power outage, and Emily’s husband Jason came to the rescue and brought us candles to burn and flashlights so that we could continue to function without total darkness! No matter what came up, Emily and Jason were eager to help if we had any questions or needs. We have family who live in Brookhaven, and we hope when we return for more visits, we will be able to stay here again!
