Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Jackson County

We stayed for 10 days or so and got to know the house and area fairly well. We appreciated Michael’s help, which was timely but not overbearing. Great stay.

We stayed over the Christmas and NYE holiday and had a wonderful time at Lindy's home. Lindy went above and beyond to make it special by decorating the house for Christmas, which we truly appreciated. The home was warm, cozy, and had enough space for our family to have dinner and open presents. We stayed from Christmas Eve through January 3rd, and Lindy was quick to deliver replacements when we ran out of supplies. It was convenient to have dishwasher pods and laundry pods provided, so we didn't have to pack so many clothes or hand wash dishes. The washer and dryer were a great bonus during our long stay. The location was right in the middle of town, making it easy to access everything in Carbondale. The neighborhood was mostly quiet, which was nice. The only suggestions I have are to provide shampoo, conditioner, and body soap for guests. Overall, we highly recommend Lindy's home for anyone visiting Carbondale.

Was nice to be in a secluded place for our dog! The home was older but very clean and the king bed we used was very comfortable! Aaron was responsive to our text when something came up and addressed things quickly.

I enjoyed staying here, a close walk to main street Murphysboro, particularly 17th St BBQ. A great location to see and hike the nearby parks.

Everything about this place was splendid!! Even in the winter! The place was VERY clean, well-kept, and just felt welcoming!! It was the perfect quiet get-a-way with gorgeous views! We would LOVE to check this lovely place out again in the spring, summer, or fall. Kevin was very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Very charming! We would LOVE to visit again.

Had a great time staying here for New Year’s Eve. Walkable and close to downtown. It was perfect for my group of friends.

If you are looking for a nice old house in a neat little town this is it. We had our family visit us from the area and it was a perfect place to host from. The kitchen was well stocked and made cooking a breeze. Also the host was very responsive to any questions we had about the house and the area. We will definitely stay here again if we will be in the area!

Loved staying at this location. So close to restaurants and shops and outdoor adventures. Very quiet. Amazing views of stars. Plenty of sleeping spaces. Very responsive and helpful host!

Our stay here was very comfortable and warm cause we were there during the recent ice storm!House never lost power when most areas around were in power outage. Very peaceful neighborhood with friendly neighbors. All the comforts like being at home. Cynde's communication with any needs that we had were quickly responded to. Will definitely look to stay here in future trips to area. The host we also very proactive with the dangerous weather that came thru during our stay to make sure that we were fine through out the storm and after. Also we left a few items which were returned to us by mail promptly.

Kevin's property was perfect. He and his family were very responsive and helpful when we needed some assistance with the RV. We came in late our first night but with Kevin's instructions had no problem finding the spot. the location is very peaceful. We wanted to do some hikes and see fall foliage and Kevin's place was a perfect base camp. We will definitely be back. I'm already shopping the idea with a few other families to find a weekend when we can rent all 3 RVs!

Kristine’s house was just as described. The space was great for gathering together to visit and relax. The pool was a great bonus! We would definitely choose this property again when staying in the area.

Gave all 5’s because it’s a great place to rent and sleep for someone taking the train or needing something less…concerning…than other nearby rentals. Window unit AC’s so be aware of that if such a thing affects your sleep (not a problem, just a personal flaw of MINE). Location isn’t next door to anything cool, but it’s Carbondale so that’s a good thing. It’s quiet and people aren’t drunkenly stumbling past your door.

The place was great. I’d recommend Giant City State Park which was very close by for hiking and lots more. This was a great country getaway and was very peaceful. Will definitely come back.

Tom was super nice, the place was remote as described, small, comfortable, private. The perfect rustic, simple place to stay the night when visiting family for Christmas. Thank you Tom for the warm welcome and keeping the cabins in such great shape! Will definitely stay again!

Ashley and her lakefront rental were both amazing! She made check in and out so seamless and easy , place was juys wayt we needed As makanda girl I really enjoyed the peaceful private yet safe neighborhood feel a lot It was wonderful to sit on that bench and watch the sunset over the lake and was so serene Hope to stay there again sometime Ashley was great

We will be back!!! We stayed here for the weekend for our little family's first getaway. The cabin was great and so clean. Loved the hot tub outside by the pond. Very close to Carbondale and wine trail.
