Surrounded by woods, quiet and peaceful. Fireplace is warm and cozy and turns on with a flip of a switch. Hot tub was great. Hey google speaker was easy to use for music. Netflix available for a movie night in front of the fireplace. Requested to use the pull out couch/bed and it was actually quite comfortable and easy to use. Would definitely stay here again!

This property is spacious, roomy, peaceful, clean and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Probably the nicest air bnb we have ever stayed in.

If you want a quiet, secluded getaway this is it! Quaint, quiet, cozy with comfortable beds and furnishings. We came in the cold winter for a bday getaway and the hot tub was awesome. The sunrise also warms you right up. We didn't want to cook so know that most restaurants are 30 min. north or south. However, we liked the country drives. Everything is new and nice. Nice outdoor fire pit to enjoy as well. There're some great trails in the Shawnee National Forest nearby. We did the Giant City nature trail and there's plenty more. Visit Marion's downtown square for some yummy food. We Highly recommend this place and plan to visit again and bring our dog!

My family and I LOVED this place. I would honestly say it’s even more beautiful in person. This place was such a WOW! I’d love to experience this cabin during the Summer months. I felt like this was a home away from home! Thank you Dongola Bay for the hospitality and allowing us to get the REAL cabin experience! See you guys next time!

It was a great stay! Close to a beautiful parks and trails! Easy to get to and from. Great place for recharging our batteries! Very good fireplace and a nice small stream by the cabin!

This place was perfect for a cozy weekend getaway. Trees and privacy in the backyard, clean inside, helpful host, etc etc etc. It’s a small space with awesome upgrades like a gorgeous shower, hot tub, nice deck. Hopefully I have the time and money to go back!

My wife and I stayed at Tim and Mary's cabin for 3 nights as part of a quiet New Year's getaway. The cabin was perfect - clean, quiet and cozy with a nice gas fireplace. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is very workable with hotplate burners, convection oven and microwave. There is a outdoor grill too, which we did not have to press into service. Hot tub was nice too on some chilly days. Wooded land surrounds. There is another cabin on the property but removed from your own at a far enough distance that you'll forget it's there. But mainly, I just wanted to say that the cabin interior is gorgeous. Dark wood walls and Native American art, and modern in key ways. Very relaxing.

We really enjoyed our time at Cedar Cabin. Everything was clean and organized and they had all of the necessities we could’ve asked for. Beautiful cabin and very helpful host, couldn’t have asked for better, 10/10 would recommend.

Beautiful home! Allison was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The house was neat, clean and had everything we needed. The property was quiet and peaceful. It was a great getaway to celebrate our friend’s 50th birthday. I would highly recommend this property for a relaxing weekend!

Perfect place to stay, very well kept

Thai rental exceeded our expectations for our quiet weekend away. The cabin was very clean and fully stocked with anything we needed. The rental was also very beautifully decorated and felt cozy and modern. Check in was very easy and Allison was quick to communicate when I had an issue checking out. Will definitely plan another stay in the future!

We decided that we needed a get away from the stress of life and Alison’s place more than filled the bill. It was clean and bright with a cozy fire and a comfy bed. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook all our meals. We hiked with the dogs on the trails around the cabins and in nearby Giant City State Park. It was so cold, so much of our time was spent curled up in the couch watching hours of cooking shows. Time went way too fast and we had to head back to the real world, well rested and planning to come back soon.

We spent a wonderful weekend with friends at Gail's place. The space was a great size for two couples and two dogs. We felt right at home, and had everything we needed throughout the stay. The house was conveniently located -- just short drives to a number of hiking options and wineries. The property was lovely and felt very private. Gail was proactive and friendly in communication. We had a great stay!

Very quiet place. Only saw a handful of cars go by in 4 days. Very clean. Hosts very quick to respond. There is no cell phone service but the WiFi is great. You won’t find a better place to stay

Larry was very responsive and accommodating. Checked to make sure we were able to get in and that our stay was going smoothly. Everything was as described with special touches added to make sure we felt right at home during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised when Larry’s wife dropped off a delicious fresh baked good. We will definitely be staying with them again.

Brian’s place was so nice and clean. We had a few questions about the area and Brian was very quick to respond. His recommendations for restaurants and wineries were spot on!

We loved our stay here. Super clean, hosts were very responsive in communication. Beds are comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The fireplace is not a great source of heat unless sitting on the hearth so don't expect to be heating the great room this way, but the couches and chairs are cozy and comfortable, with plenty of throws and blankets if needed. Excellent table size for dining and breakfast nook seating was perfect. We had 6 ladies for a girls retreat and we had plenty of room to spare. Love the open floor plan. Was really pleasantly surprised at how soundproof the bedrooms are too, so anyone staying up late or getting up early was not disturbing to those who were sleeping.

We loved our stay at Larry's cabin. It is unique, cozy and spotless, and located in a private, beautiful country setting. There's a lovely walk down Paul Ice Rd. to Lake Kincaid, 1 mile away. A nice boat landing is located there, as well as shady picnic areas We also liked that it was easy driving distance from the cabin to the Shawnee National Forest. Nice hiking trails, as well as the famous Snake Rd. (LaRue/Pine Hills) with an amazing number of snakes and amphibians, of great interest to herpers and naturalists. Only a 10-14 minute drive to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Larry's is a helpful and responsive host, and we will definitely stay here again if in the area. 5 stars!

Quaint space in a secluded area. Lots of wildlife and great back porch space. We had plenty of hot water for our showers too, which was perfect after spending a day in the outdoors.

This vintage nature cabin in the Shawnee National Forest was the perfect escape! It's idyllically set amidst forests and meadows, with hiking trails right outside the door. We spent our days exploring the area and were amazed by the unique bluffs and mossy rocks we discovered. The cabin itself was super comfortable and spacious. It had a real vintage charm, with a wood-burning fireplace and cozy vibes, but the kitchen was a total surprise – modern and stylish with everything you could need to cook up a feast (just bring your own groceries!). We loved hanging out in the enclosed sunroom, perfect for morning breakfast and coffee. The hosts were fantastic and made sure we had a great stay. Can't recommend this secluded gem enough!
