Lake house vacation rentals in Iowa

This is a beautiful property! We enjoyed the solitude and great view of the pond/trees. My kids very much enjoyed fishing the pond. They even caught some large mouth bass. One weighing 2 pounds, and one weighing 3 pounds! Beds were super comfy. My kids even made me come check their comfiness before I could finish unloading the car. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking to get away from the bustle of the city and also have activities for the kids to do right out the back door. A very clean beach area was available also, although being late October, we didn’t swim.

10 out of 10! I will be staying here again during our next Okoboji trip. The home is so spacious, has literally anything and everything that you could need. The beds and linens were perfection (in fact I bought the comforter online while we were there). The extra parking across the street was perfect to park our truck and trailer since we brought our boat. And the VIEW!!!! I can’t say enough good things about this home and we look forward to staying here again 😁

Great communication, clear instructions and the perfect spot for a short stay. Can’t beat the price or the location. Plenty of room for bigger groups too!

Michaela was friendly, helpful, and very responsive. We mentioned there weren’t many pots/pans and in a few hours there were a whole new set! The house is very clean, quirky in a fun way, and the lake setting with giant fire-pit was so relaxing. The bed upstairs is super comfortable. Note, there are three beds. Two downstairs are single. It worked out great for us. The house is one of the most fun, well stocked, comfy places we’ve stayed. And Michaela is a really gracious host. Easy to talk with. We loved our stay.

Clarity Cabin was peaceful, lovely, comfortable, and perfect for a few quiet days of gorgeous autumn weather! Sara has great taste in decor and everything was squeaky clean.

We stayed here for my son's wedding. Very peaceful, private, and comfortable. Husband saw otters in the pond while walking the dogs! Deer in the yard both mornings. Comfy beds and lots of games if you have time for that which we did not unfortunately. I would highly recommend staying here! It is a very short trip to The Hive wedding venue too! Thank you for a great stay!

The home was very clean and kid friendly. We enjoyed the board games and outdoor toys available. The kids had a great time and it was easy to manage a 5 and 3 year old within the house. Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and living room were spotless and had everything you would need to enjoy evenings after the zoo or any other activities. Will stay again if we come back to the area

This is a beautiful home with all amenities as described. It’s a bit of a walk into town but otherwise fine. Love the fact Alexa everywhere which was useful for music and timings. We have 2 grown up kids, so 4 adults and 1 bathroom was a stretch at times. Mellisa answered my queries almost instantly. Thoroughly recommend a stay here !!

Great place and a very responsive and accommodating host. This house is in a great location close to Rathbun Lake and amenities in Centerville. Would recommend for anyone going to the area.

Second time staying in this home. Gina is a very accommodating and friendly host. House is super clean and well equipped. Neighborhood is quiet and views of lake from porches and decks are outstanding. There is a great walking trail along the lake right across from the house. This home will always be our preferred choice when visiting family in Solon!

Great place to stay. Walkable distance to Bridges Bay resort. The home was near a pool and in a cute neighborhood. Stayed there with 14 people total and we were all comfortable! Great place to stay!

Beautiful place and furnishings. Relaxing and peaceful and very roomy. Kids enjoyed fishing off dock and playing ping pong. Disappointed in lack of soap for bathrooms - went into Manchester to purchase. Thankful we followed directions and brought toilet paper as one bathroom barely had anything on the roll. Also very thankful we had someone with a truck during our stay as we had to take our own garbage all the way home. Most of us lacked room in our vehicles for that.

We loved our girls weekend stay at Jennifer’s place!! It had all the conveniences of home without the noise and fast pace! We were able to slow down and relax - reading, puzzles, good food, and laughs surrounded by a beautiful home and country views. Jennifer was super accommodating when we had to reschedule due to illness and she has thought through all the the necessities needed for her beautiful home. We’ll be back when it’s warmer to enjoy more of the outside perks!

Very close to down town. Right on the lake front at Carter lake. Home was well kept, clean and set up to find things easily.

It was a great place to stay for our crew. Lots of room and beautiful views from the windows. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there and plan on coming back if the dates work for our visit to IA.

A wonderful, beautiful place to stay for our week in Clear Lake. Perfect location, clean, comfortable, all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay.

I cannot say enough about this host and this property. There was 6 of us there for a birthday weekend and there was plenty of space for all of us. Not only was the house perfect and beautiful but the land and nature outside of the house was way more than expected. We ALL plan to go back for a summer getaway there. Holly was amazing to work with and her flexibility made our check out day such a joy. Thank you so much for all the memories!!
